(DENVER POV):
"What are those for?" Kyle asked.
"After the incident with you and Delanie. I remembered something." I said.
"Do you remember in our childhood when our mother was angry with our father and didn't return to the palace for weeks?" I asked Kyle.
"Obviously. How can one ever forget the fight of the century?" Kyle replied.
"Did you ever wonder how after dad sent a lot of demons to search for her and they returned empty handed, he went in search of her for just that one time and found her before the day ended?" I asked.
"So you mean that these emerald stones can help us find Melanie?" Kyle asked.
"Exactly." I said.
"Then wht are we waiting for? Let's go." Kyle said.
"I am already fed up of this place." he added.
"Hold on Kyle. Don't be so fast. It's not that easy." I said to him.
"What do you mean? You just explained the entire thing now. All we have to do is get Melanie without being caught and used the crystal to take out the other half of your powers without getting caught. Simple as that." Kyle said.
"No. It is not as simple as that." I replied.
"Then what is it? Is there a catch to using the emerald stones?" Kyle asked me.
"Well... I wouldn't call it that." I said.
"To find the person you are looking for, that person must be in possession of one of the emeralds." I added.
"Damn. Could this be any more difficult?" Kyle said.
"How are we supposed to find her now? The emeralds are useless then." Kyle said.
"No they are not. Try to use your brain Kyle. The thing is that we need a bait. Someone that Maco would see as worth capturing." I said.
"Yes. And that person will have an emerald stone. As far as I know Maco, he keeps all his captured in one place so we can be sure that whoever gets captured will be kept the same place as Melanie." Kyle said.
"Wait... Who will be the bait?" Kyle asked and I smiled devilishly at him.
"No." he said.
"There is no way I am letting you use Delanie for that." Kyle opposed.
"Who said I needed your permission?" I asked Kyle.
"Not my permission but you will need my powers to get into and out of the demon realm." Kyle said.
"Why shouldn't she go? Delanie herself had said she wanted to help so let her." I said to Kyle.
"No. It is far too dangerous." Kyle said.
"Says the guy who ran away." I said with the purpose of reminding him what Delanie had said to him earlier.
"You can use whatever tactic you want. I disagree with this. Delanie can not be used as bait and that is final." Kyle said.
"You know... If I didn't know better, I'd say you are in love with Delanie." I said to Kyle.
"What?! Me?! In love?! Have you really run out of things to say that you would start pushing those stupid feelings at me?" Kyle asked.
"Kyle Kyle Kyle. Not wanting her to be used as bait only shows that you have feelings for her. What happened to the once heartless Kyle?" I said to him.
"I wasn't once heartless, I still am. Have you really seen the both of us? We can not stand each other." Kyle retorted.
"And yet you still want to be around her." I said to Kyle.
"Well, yes. But only because i hate her and i like getting her annoyed and angry." Kyle said.
"Those are the qualities you are most fund of in her. Face it Kyle. You are in love with her." I said.
Kyle was about to say something but a knock came to the door.
"Come in." I said and Delanie herself walked into our room.
I looked over at Kyle and he seemed to be very nervous. Of course I used it to my advantage. I walked over to Kyle and whispered into his ear,
"It's either you agree to this or I tell Delanie you have feelings for her." I threatened.
"You wouldn't dare." Kyle said with gritted teeth.
"Watch me." I replied him.
"Delanie. What a surprise. We were just talking about you." I said to Delanie.
"What was it about?" Delanie asked, frowning.
"First, why are you here?" I asked, curious at why she would come to our room in the first place.
"I came here to talk to Kyle but I think knowing this would also be good." Delanie replied me.
"What was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Kyle asked, trying to change the topic.
Delanie, however, didn't seem ready to let him change the topic. "I want to know what you two were saying about me behind my back." Delanie said.
"Kyle here is in..." I was saying.
"Only that you are the worst person I have ever met." Kyle rushed to say.
"Really?! You're the one complaining?!" Delanie said in annoyance.
"Look. I came here to tell you to keep your distance from Kelvin! I don't know what happened but please! Stay away from him okay?!" Delanie said and stormed off.
There was a moment of silence in the room.
"That did not go as planned." I said.
"Shut up! Just shut up! This is all your fault!" Kyle shouted at my face.
"My fault?! You are the one who doesn't know how to express yourself to her properly!" I yelled back at him.
"You know what?! Yes! Yes I am in love with her! I have been in love with her since the first day I set eyes on her in my bar! You happy now?! I love her mischief and everything else about her!" Kyle shouted.
"Then why have you been hovering around Melanie?" I asked him.
"I had to! If i couldn't get Delanie then I didn't want to see you happy with someone either! All my life I have always been left out! Father and even mother liked you more. Father even gave you the throne even though I was the eldest. When it came to having a partner even you were more deserving! I have been alone all my life! Harbouring nothing but hatred for my own family for leaving me out." Kyle said.
