"We?" I asked in disbelief.

"You want to join in to safe your sister?" I asked again.

"Yes." Delanie answered affirmatively.

"You wouldn't last a second in front of Maco." Kyle said to Delanie.

"Says the guy who already ran away from him." Delanie answered back.

"Ouch." I said, without even realizing it. Kyle turned to me angrily but i just shrugged then he turned his attention back to Delanie

"Fine then. You are in. Let's see if you can do better than I did." Kyle said to Delanie then left the room, slamming the door behind him.

"He seems to have forgotten that this is our room. He could have just ordered you out." I said to Delanie as I looked away from the door.

"Whatever." Delanie said and went for the exit.

"How do you do it?" I asked Delanie.

"Do what?" Delanie asked me as she stopped in front of the door, holding the door handle.

"Get into Kyle's head. You drive him crazy even more than I ever can." I said to Delanie

"It's too bad that doesn't keep him away from me." Delanie said, opened the door and finally left.

"What a strange couple."

(KYLE POV):

I left the room in anger and slammed the door but then I ended up slapping hard against my forehead when I thought I could have just told her to get out.

I wanted to go back in but then it would have been awkward and made me appear stupid.

I left the mansion, thinking it would be better to get some air. Just a few blocks away from the mansion, I came across Kelvin who blocked my way the moment he saw me.

"What do you want?" I asked in a tone that showed my total lack of interest in whatever his reason would be.

"I know what it is that you are trying to do Kyle. Trust me, it will never work." Kelvin said.

"What the f... You know what? Just get out of my way." I told him and tried to walk passed him but I was blocked again.

"For pete's sake. If you can't be straight forward with what you want then get out of my face. I am not in a good mood." I warned him.

"Straight forward?" Kelvin asked and scoffed.

"If you want to pretend you don't know what I am talking about then fine. I will be straight forward. I want you to stay away from Delanie." Kelvin said in a serious tone.

"Stay away? Dude. You can have the bitch all to yourself." I said in annoyance but he jerked me back.

"Don't you ever call her that again. She is much more than what any man could ever wish for." Kelvin said.

Hearing his words, I just couldn't hold it in and I burst into laughter. "That statement only told me that you know nothing about her." I said to Kelvin.

My words triggered Kelvin and he threw a punch at my laughing face. I held on to my nose which was bleeding but removed my hand as soon as it healed.

"What are you?" Kelvin asked, looking shocked.

"Someone who is about to put you in your place." I said and folded up my sleeve, ready to give him the beating of his life.

Just when I was about to throw blows, my eyes fell on someone. It wasn't human. It was a demon in disguise and i immediately guessed it to be one of Maco's minions.

I grabbed hold of Kelvin and put my hand over his mouth before he could utter a single word then hid beside a black van parked at the side of the road.

The demon looked around for some time and went a different direction. So it's gotten that bad? I and Denver better hurry up in finding a way to defeat Maco.

When the demon got far enough I let go of Kelvin.

"What was that for man?!" he shouted.

I didn't give him any answer and turned back. I don't think walks are safe anymore.

"Were you scared of that guy? You know what? I am going to find him right now and report you. Who knows? You might have stolen something from him." Kelvin said but I ignored him and continued walking.

If he thought he was going to reach that demon then he will just be deceiving himself. What was wrong with him though? Acting up and more stupid than usual.

I reached the mansion and entered. At the same time, Kelvin was just coming out of the mansion. Confused? Well don't be. I had teleported him here.

"What just happened? I wasn't here." Kelvin said to me.

"If you'd rather be at the edge of the cliff then I have no problem with that." I replied as i walked up the stairs.

I spotted Delanie coming but pretended I didn't see her. She walked passed me to Kelvin and held him close to herself. "I told you to stop drinking Kelvin. What if your father returns today?" Delanie said to him.

Drunk? I hadn't even noticed because I was so used to the smell from when people got drunk in my bar as Mr Levinson.

"He can shove his expectations up his ass. Don't call that man my father. He is not my father! His name is Sylvester or Dave. Whatever name he chooses to live on." Kelvin said to Delanie and struggled to release himself from her.

"Hey. Stop that." Delanie said as she equal struggled to maintain a grip on him.

"Why? Why should I? I don't want you touching me." Kelvin said. At that moment Mary arrived at the scene.

"Kelvin. Oh my God. Not again." Mary said and rushed in to help Delanie while I just left the scene to my room.

In the room, Denver was standing next to the window with his arms folded across his chest.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"I finally found a way for us to locate where Maco is hiding Melanie." Denver answered.

"Well? Spill it." I told him.

Denver came towards me and stretched forth an open palm. In his hand were four glowing emerald stones.
