FIFTY FOUR

Everything was fine, three days passed and nothing happened. Wayang told me that she couldn't feel Kalsey's presence anymore which left us worried. We don't know what is her intention after disappearing just like that.

I looked at my phone when suddenly a notification sound was heard. I look who was the person's messages and was shocked to see her name here. It was Kalsey, the Kalsey that lived in the modern world. She told me that she wanted to see me to ask questions. I wonder what it is? Should I go?

"It may be your opportunity to talk with her however it may be bait or what so bring your cat with you so she can protect you, also bring this small bell. Ring it once and I will be there immediately." I look at Wayang gives me the tiniest bell that I ever saw.

"How did you know that it was her?" She shrugged her shoulders as I received the bell from her.

"I predicted it, I know everything that will happen in the future, Charlotte. However, I don't need you to tell me about everything, you may ruin the flow of the future." I look at the bell in my hand and then look at her who is now sleeping on my bed with her cat.

"Does witches love to sleep? She looks like a cat," I muttered and went to Karsen's room. I took a peek and saw him busy doing his schoolwork or other things maybe.

"Karsen," I called for his name causing him to stop and look at me. "I'll be out for today if it is okay. I will take my day off for next week—" He just laughs at me and faces me. Why is he laughing every time I speak!?

"Just a kiss and I will let you go." Oh, seriously!? I raise my eyebrows at him. "What? This guy is craving for your lips, don't you want this baby boy to give you one?" I smiled and shook my head and went closer to him.

Before I could move in even closer, he already pulled my waist closer to him and kissed me causing my eyes to widen but then smiled and kissed him as well. After seconds, our lips went apart and I looked at him with a smile on my face.

"You kiss enjoyer." He laughs and bids a goodbye to him. I touch my lips and every time I remember that scene. He volunteered to drive me where I wanted to go but I told him that I could do it by myself. I don't want him to know that I will be meeting with Kalsey today, for sure he won't let me.

But, he told me that I needed to text him if I was on my way to head back to the mansion so he could pick me up. After a couple of minutes, I am now here at a coffee shop that Kalsey told me to go to. I looked around and saw her sipping her iced coffee while staring blankly at the desk.

I gather my courage to go to her and look at Nini in my bag. It is a good thing that Nini is an intelligent cat. "Stay there and hide okay?" She meowed at me and then hid herself in the big shoulder bag that I was carrying.

I now walk closer to her and when she finally senses my presence, she looks at me. I smiled and sat in front of her. "Look, I don't call you here to be friends with you, okay? I am here to find an answer to my questions because I am very curious especially since you told me about Miss Ancestor."

My eyes widen, I am still a bit surprised to hear that. So Kalsey really is Kalsey's descendant? "You are her descendant? No wonder why you look a bit like her." And so is their personalities, almost. They look the same!

"How did you know about her? You said that you were her best friend but Miss Ancestor told me that you were her enemy. I am confused and curious, about how you guys told me about that when Miss Ancestor lived a long time ago. How did that happen?"

I stared into her eyes and wanted to tell the truth but I knew she still wouldn't believe it. Everything that I will say to her. "She hates me because the man that she loves chooses me. That the man she loves loves me. We are best friends before but she can't accept it. Kalsey is head over heels for Karius but Karius doesn't want her not because she is a witch but because that guy chooses me."

I saw her raise her eyebrows after what I said. "What do you mean? I mean, how? Who the fvck Karius is? And why did he choose you and not my ancestor? And how did you know that she is a witch? As far as I know, witches don't reveal what they are so how?"

I don't know what to answer again. Just like her ancestors, both of them have the same destiny. I mean, I didn't intend to take them away from them. They choose me too, right? "Karius is the one I love, we've become friends and our feelings towards each other grow deeper. I didn't think that Kalsey also had the same feelings towards Karius. At first, I tried to distance myself from him so Kalsey wouldn't be jealous but whatever I did, Karius still kept on choosing and chasing me, leaving Kalsey alone.

"Because of it, Kalsey gradually became mad and she thought that I was taking her love away from her when it was not. I tried distancing myself from him even though I loved him so much. But it was my mistake, my mistake to leave Karius alone with Kalsey. A mistake that I didn't fight him."

She looked down pressed her lips and then looked at me. "What happened to Karius?" I clenched my fist and looked at her intently.

"Kalsey killed Karius."
