"She killed him? How? How did she do that? Your lover was killed by my ancestor? So, have my ancestor and you already met before? Did she also talk to you in the mirror?"

I raise my eyebrows after hearing it. So Kalsey uses mirrors to communicate with her. What did she already do to make this girl believe her? I keep on staring at her as she stares at me waiting for my answer.

"To be honest, I have lived thousands of years ago, Kalsey. Your ancestors cursed me to become immortal and to become this ugly. I hope you will believe what I am saying now. She is a liar and loves to use people for her own. She is not the person that you are thinking before it is too late, you should be walking away from her now. I am saying this to save you, I am not lying, Kalsey."

She was stunned and gaped after I spoke and still staring at me. She blinked her eyes and began laughing causing me to be surprised and look around as people were now looking at us. So she doesn't want to believe me. She was laughing at me.

"You think you are cursed? Are you just giving yourself a reason to gaslight yourself, Charlotte? You are ugly and that's it, you don't have to use my ancestor's name just to validate your feelings. You know what, I still can't comprehend how on Earth Karsen fell in love with you. When you are that ugly.

"I am starting to believe now that you might be the witch here and not her. Stop making stories, ugly woman." She then stood up and carried her things. "You know what? I just realized that you are wasting my time here. I will be out."

Kalsey immediately walked out and left me behind her on our table. I gritted my teeth as I clenched my fist thinking of what she was saying to me. I don't mind if everyone heard it but telling me that I am the witch here? Is she out of her mind!?

I decided to follow her and find her where she was. When I finally saw her with my eyes, I immediately took her hands causing her to stop. "What do you want!? I don't want to waste my time with you anymore, Charlotte! You're just saying nonsense! I can't find answers to you, you piece of shit, get away from me!"

She shoved me away causing me to almost fall to the ground and Nini to meow which Kalsey heard. "You bring your cat again."

"She is protecting me from your Ancestor, Kalsey. She is the only reason why I keep on holding on. She wanted to kill me. Even though it was my wish before, to be killed but now I have decided to live for Karsen. To beat her."

I moved even closer to her and now we are inches away from each other. "If you still don't want to believe me, you will remember this moment once Kalsey breaks the promise that she gave to you. She already did it to me in the past and all of it, she didn't keep all of her promises. She will just try to ruin your life, I am warning you."

After all that I said, she still doesn't want to believe me. I didn't have a choice but to let them do what she wanted, at least I did my best. I have no regrets. "I still don't want to believe your shitty stories, Charlotte. Get out of my sight or else I will call the police!"

I let her go after that and didn't try to follow her anymore. I look at Nini who just came out from the bag. I smiled at her and stared at her when I saw her smile a bit. "Kids nowadays are stubborn, aren't they? I am just hoping that Kalsey won't curse her either. My ex-best friend will do anything just for her own. Just for herself, she's that selfish even if it needed to sacrifice souls," I muttered as I walked away from her.

I texted Karsen that I would be home by now and immediately he replied. I am just here waiting in front of the coffee shop where Kalsey and I are having a conversation. How could I make her believe me? How could I make her stop believing Kalsey?

I look at Nini who is now sleeping on my lap as I am touching her fur. "Did you feel her presence, Nini? Is she there or not? Where did she go?" The cat just purred at me and I let out a sigh. What am I doing? Did I just think Nini would talk back to me? That is ridiculous.

I looked around and saw raindrops falling. I tried catching it while looking at the sky. It was dark and a heavy rainfall was about to come. I didn't bring my umbrella, what should I do? I tried texting Karsen to bring some umbrella before heading here but it seems my signal was gone. What just happened?

"Charlotte!"

My heart was racing after I heard that. It was Karsen's voice, he was calling for my name but his voice was somewhat worried and scared. I look around trying to find him but I can't. I left Nini in front of the coffee shop since it was raining, I didn't want her to get wet.

I now started running from the rain trying to find where Karsen was as I kept on hearing his voice shouting my name. "Where are you?" I kept looking around and I couldn't find him until I found a spot seeing the boys lying on the ground which left me stunned. I was frozen. What was this? What was I seeing? Is this true?

I caught myself running towards where Nini was and she was looking at me! I thought the other me would run to her but she's not. She was running towards where Karsen was, lying on the ground with blood in his body.

"Karsen?" I speak. My eyes tremble at what I have seen. Is Karsen dead? Tell me that it is all just a dream tell me!

"Charlotte!"
