Chapter 225
Chapter 225
Before answering the phone, Charles gently patted the driver's shoulder and whispered reassuringly, "Remember, you gotta sell it. Your life depends on this call. If he catches on, you know what happens."
The driver nodded firmly, trying to appear calm, though his hands were shaking like leaves in the wind.
He had been with the Silver Sentinel for many years and knew Ink Master all too well.
Just the mention of that name was enough to strike fear into anyone's heart.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he answered the call, trying to keep his voice steady. "Yeah, everything's normal."
The cold voice of the Silver Sentinel came through the phone. "Good, bring the car around. I'll be out shortly."
"Understood." After hanging up, the two men got into the car, with Charles slipping into the shadows of the back seat.
The car's windows were specially modified so that no one outside could see in.
Through the window, Charles calmly watched as a middle-aged man and four bodyguards approached.
He rested his hands lightly on the front seat, tapping his fingers rhythmically to the music.
As the car door opened, Charles pulled out a modified silenced mini pistol from his waist and instantly put a bullet through one of the bodyguard's heads. Silver Sentinel, who was about to get in, sensed something was wrong and tried to turn and flee, but Charles grabbed him and forcibly dragged him into the car!
The door slammed shut, instantly cutting off the outside noise.
The driver quickly locked the doors. The bodyguards outside drew their guns and fired at the windows, but it was futile.
The Silver Sentinel had taken great care to have the entire car specially modified; the whole vehicle was bulletproof.
"You've really done a good job with the security," Charles said with a smile, sitting next to the Silver Sentinel. "Too bad you ran into me."
The Silver Sentinel's body was rigid, but his mind quickly regained its composure. "Hey guy, I don't believe we've met."
"But if there's something you want, just tell me. I'll do my best to accommodate."
Charles chuckled. "You're quite straightforward."
He nodded at the driver through the rearview mirror. "Drive to the abandoned factory in the Strollway District."
As Charles spoke to the driver, the Silver Sentinel suddenly reached under the seat, trying to activate a hidden mechanism. But in the next instant, a blood-curdling scream escaped his lips!
Charles's blade flashed like lightning, pinning the Sentinel's hand to the seat! Then, without hesitation, Charles dislocated every joint in the Sentinel's arm.
Throughout it all, Charles's face remained impassive. The driver, terrified, floored the gas pedal and sped north.
"Shut up. Are you really that delicate? This pain is nothing," Charles said coldly.
But the Silver Sentinel's screams didn't stop; the agony in his arm was nearly unbearable.
Charles pulled out a folding electric saw, still stained with dried blood. "Scream again, and I'll saw off your other arm."
He smiled, but to the Silver Sentinel, that smile was more terrifying than any demon.
Seeing Charles's deathly grin, the Silver Sentinel bit his lower lip, not daring to make another sound.
He knew Charles would follow through on his threats. This guy's methods were terrifying!
"Boss, I mean, Ink Master, where are we going?" The driver stammered nervously.
Hearing "Ink Master," the Silver Sentinel's heart sank. He knew he was in deep trouble now.
"Have you thought about the consequences of this? You took me right under my bodyguards' noses. They're the best of the best. When they find us, do you think you'll still be so cocky?"
