Business Trip

Calista’s POV

*Weeks Later*

While chatting with my friend Zari, I was also preparing my things for the business trip and also to make sure I didn’t skip any files about work, I don’t want to ruin the reason for the trip. Zari kept asking me who was the lucky guy, so I told her I was still single and no guy had captured my heart yet.

"I know you are lying, I am finding it so hard to believe you know, look at how beautiful and sexy you are, guys are already on the line, make a choice." She texted.

"When I am ready, I will give room to love," I replied and we continued with our conversation.

Also, I didn’t tell Zari the details of my work, we just talked about life normally and I told her soon I would pay her a visit in her state.

I got a message from the girl I planted in Casper's life and she sent me a picture of her with Casper, I loved how it was going already.

Just a day left before I leave for California for the business trip with Parker,Zari was telling me about a party she wants me to attend but I turned her down saying next time.

Casper texted saying he was missing me and I told him when I return home,I would see him.

I got a call from the girl working for me,” Hello.” She sounded like someone who was frightened.

“Did something happen?”

“You won’t believe it, I came to his home unannounced when I heard a scream, the young maid working for him, he…he…..”

“Calm down, okay, take a breath,” I advised her and she took her time.

“Now tell me what did he do?”

“He abused her, he didn’t even care, he is a beast.” She added.

I knew it, there was nothing good about Casper, he was just pretending to everyone.

“Where are you now?”

“I managed to escape his home without him knowing.”

“Good.”

“I took a video of everything.”

A smile curved on my lips immediately after she told me about the video,” Forward the video to me but for now, avoid being close to him, tell him you fell sick and your parents took you for treatment, don’t make any more move until you hear from me.”

“Okay mama, thank you so much, I will send the video now.”

She ended the call and I jumped up out of excitement saying, “I am going to ruin you, you just wait.

I arrived at the airport with the boss and I noticed the way some men on duty saluted him, every minute I always heard them say,“ Morning Sir!!”

We finally boarded the VIP flight that we booked a week ago and I hope the trip to California goes well because to date, I am still embarrassed by what happened the day I was drunk,I really don’t know how to talk about it at all.

We arrived in California and finally settled at the hotel, my room was very close to his room but we had to remain in our room so by tomorrow we will get to work, the main reason we came here.

I couldn’t sleep that night, I kept thinking about the night I was drunk so I stepped out of my room to get some fresh air, leaving my phone in my room.

While I was out, I encountered Parker,” Boss, you are still up?”

“Yeah, why are you not asleep?”

“I couldn’t sleep.”

“I see, an important guest will be performing tonight, I am going to watch, will you come with me?”

“Sure,but where?”

“The place you are standing with your leg.” He replied.

“Oh, this hotel, wow nice.”

“Let’s go.” He added and I walked with him.

We entered the VIP entertainment room and a few wealthy and noble personalities were around and I loved the gathering.

We took our seats and cocktails were available as well, the first guest artist came up to perform and she was with her ballad dancers.

I didn’t know when I started crying listening to the song, the night event I was killed kept playing in my head, I am broken beyond the ability to be fixed until I get my revenge finally and that is what I will do.

“Are you okay? You are crying?” I heard his voice so I wiped off my tears saying,” No,I am not.”

The night was going so well until he showed up, the beast among the Sinful Knight is here.

“Give it up for Eddy…” The host said and everyone screamed in excitement, most especially the ladies, Parker made a comment,” That idiot, always wants to make a grand entrance.”

My body system changed like I could collapse any minute from now, why was he here? Why?

“I just remembered I need to edit some files, I will be going to my room, thank you, boss, for making my night awesome,” I said to him standing on my feet and rushing out of the place.

I got to my room and locked the door behind me,looking for my pills immediately, seeing him smile earlier made me more scared,I recognised that smile, he did the same to me, how can everyone celebrate a monster? He actually started the whole bully stuff and rapping stuff, he is a psychopath.

So he is a popular icon, I wonder what will become of him when I expose him and he meets his doom, I know what I am going to do, first of all, I need to calm my nerves by taking my pills then finish what I came here for so when I return home,I can finish up fully with Casper and move to either Asher or Edward, I must ruin them all at the same time.

I saw Casper's missed call then remembering what the girl working for me said to me, I decided to conclude what I had in mind so I called her after I was calm,” Hello mama.”

“Create the scandal now, Casper is a deceiver, he forces his students to have sex with him and also he raped me, if we don’t stop him now, I wonder what number of girls will suffer this more.” I kept on telling her what to write online about him to ruin his image.

“Okay mama, should I also upload the video?”

“No, not yet, this scandal has a reason and when the time is right, the other video will come in, make sure not to post it at all.”

“Noted mama, I will do as you say but you know the press will be at my home once it’s out?”

“Remain indoors,I will be back in a few days, I have everything planned.”

“Okay mama, after dropping this call, I will get to work.”

She replied and I let out an evil smile saying,” Good girl.«
