He Kissed Me

Calista’s POV

I woke up the following morning with full energy in me after knowing what I did last night, seems today is going to be one of the best, I just can’t wait.

I got ready and all set because today, Parker and I will be going to The Bigi Limited for the business presentation and deal.

I made sure I did not miss out on any of the documents, I don’t want him to lose anything because of me and number two, I really love the whole idea Parker came up with. Apart from others, he is really hard-working.

I came out of my room all prepared and I got a call the car was present in the hotel and waiting at the parking lot.

I walked to his room and about knocking at his door, he came out himself, I cleared my throat saying,” Good morning boss.”

“Good morning, is everything all set??”

“Yes boss, the driver is waiting for us outside and we still have like an hour left before the meeting will kick off.”

“Okay, let’s have breakfast out there before going.” He said walking out to the restaurant present in the hotel and I walked with him.

We ended up having breakfast together and he asked for some reviews about some documents.

We entered the car together and our conversation was fully based on what brought us here, I have a feeling that something seems a bit off about him, maybe he has seen the news already or not.

We arrived at the venue and were directed to where the meeting would be held, I sat close to him and each mic was present on the table, bottled water and small chops as well.

Some foreigners also came in and a few minutes later, we started.

Everything went well but something else became beautiful to me, it was Parker, while he stood up talking to them, I just couldn’t take my eyes off him at all, my eyes remained fixed on him, he was looking so dashing and my heart betrayed me in full today, how can he be so handsome? The kiss we had when I was drunk played in my head, I really don’t know how I felt then because I was intoxicated then remembering the day he was shirtless, gosh, my entire body was just craving for him alone.

After the success of everything, he had a call so he excused himself and I had to remain in the waiting room then I brought out my phone to see the news, it was everywhere already, the headlines and hot gist.

I decided to call Casper to act so innocently while on a call with him but his number was not connecting at all so I left him a voice note on WhatsApp asking him if he was okay because I saw the news about the girl accusing him wrongly.

Immediately Parker stepped out, he said to me,” We will be returning to Nigeria tomorrow.”

“Already?” I was shocked because we were not done with the main thing that brought us here, this is the first phase and we solved it already by securing the deal but tomorrow we have an important client with whom we scheduled a meeting.

“Yes, cancel everything and reschedule some other time, I can do others via zoom.”

“But boss..”

“Don’t question me and do what I ask you to do already.” He yelled and he looked so frustrated.

“Okay, boss but is everything okay with you?”

“Yes, everything is fine, let’s return to the hotel so you can have enough time to get your stuff ready against tomorrow.” He walked away and I wondered why the news affected him the most Instead of Casper. I know he is the head of the Sinful Knight but this is not on him at all.

I entered the car with him and we drove off to the hotel, he didn’t even say a word to me and he just walked to his room and I did the same.

I brought out my luggage and set up my things against tomorrow, my phone started ringing and picking it up, it was a call from Casper.

“Hey, how are you feeling? I saw the news.”

“Date me Calista.” I looked at the phone to check again if it was actually Casper I was talking to, like even if you want to ask a woman out to date you, you don’t do it on the phone, number two, he is in a big mess now and this is what he is thinking? He is crazy.

“Sorry but are you serious right now? You saw the news..”

“Yes,I did, don’t worry, my cousin will handle it.”

“You mean Mr Parker?”

“Yes, I saw your voice note and I am certain you are the one for me, you trust me and I have fallen in love with you, date me, what do you say?”

“No, I can’t date you, not until your name is cleared, you should take this seriously.”

“Okay fine, what do you think I should do? You don’t expect me to make a video online to defend myself right?”

“Let’s talk later,I need to rest,” I added because I really didn’t know what to say to him right now.

“Are you angry with me?” He asked and I nodded saying,” No, I am not, I just want to rest.” I said to him and ended the call.

Gosh, he is crazy, who would want to date someone like him? Why on earth will Parker solve it? Is Parker is errand boy?

I texted the girl working for me saying on no account will she see anyone except for me, that idiot will need me when he sees he won’t be able to handle the case then I will get double his trust for me, simply as possible.

I didn’t know what else to do after setting up everything, I watched TV in my hotel room but I was more worried about Parker, he didn’t even send for me, what could he be doing?

I decided to check on him not because I was worried but as his PA, I must make sure he was okay.

I knocked at his door and he opened it, gosh, he was shirtless again, why did I come here in the first place? He is going to seduce me with his perfect structure body.

I took my eyes off and cleared my throat,” Just checking on you but since you are fine,I will return to my room.”

“Can you join me for a drink?” He asked that was when I noticed he was sad and already drinking.

“Sure.” I accepted and I joined him.

He passed my glass cup to me and turned the drink, I emptied it at once and his reaction tells me he was shocked by it.

“I am sorry, I just love the taste,” I added.

“Can you not talk to me like my PA? I just need a friend to talk to, can you do that for me, Cali?” He held my hands and my heart betrayed me again and again.

I didn’t know when I said yes,I thought he was going to tell me about Casper's issue but hell no, instead he talked about other things and we were getting drunk together.

We laughed about everything and the conversation was one of the best, none of us was sad anymore and while the talk was still going on, our eyes got glued to each other, slowly we moved closer with our noses touching each other and my heart racing very fast none stop.

I closed my eyes in the process and allowed him to caress my hair and he gently kissed me which made my heart flutter.
