"You have to be here exactly eight in the morning." The man in the other line order—that's what appeared to me when I woke up before taking care of my children. It was like cold water poured on me, realizing that I would see him whenever there was a meeting.
Unfortunately, I had to close my company in Chicago due to the fact that I couldn't handle a business there and here while watching over my babies. Not yet, but I still need to know if we're not going back or what. In this situation, I knew right away that I wouldn't be able to get there as soon as I wanted.
My head hurt a lot. I felt like something was stabbing my head with the amount of information I had learned. Yet I had to be invested because I had a goal that needed to happen. Raven and my kids couldn't meet; that was the most important of all.
"You should hurry!" I didn't let him finish and hung up the call. I was rude, I know, but hearing his voice this morning ruined the opening of the morning.
I got up to prepare my children, who were still fast asleep. I went to the sink and washed my face, then went to the kitchen to prepare food for the two and their milk. When I got to the kitchen, the first thing I saw was Hiro; he was cleaning the whole area. When he cleans patiently like this, he has a problem, and I just let it go.
He hardly noticed me and just passed by me, which didn't earn sulkness towards me. Everything was fine with me; there was no need for anything he would try to explain everything to me. Sometimes, we all need ourselves and Hiro needs it.
I cooked and got ready, and when I finished, I woke up the two and kissed them on the lips.
"Eat your breakfast, babies; I'll take a shower." I played with their noses, loaded them both, and made them sit in their favorite chairs. I immediately said goodbye and went to the bathroom to take a shower because the man's company was still far away.
He said that their place is still there, so I won't get lost, for sure. Hiro looked at me from head to toe when I was fixing myself to make myself presentable. I wore basic white tops and fitted jeans. I want a kind of poisonous outfit today. No one said there was a dress code, so I was free to wear the clothes I wanted.
"I'll go." I kissed them one by one, then went to the parking lot and looked for the car.
I felt a bit nervous, but the fact that I would be there for my dad, and that's it, dominated me more. There was no other reason I was there, it was because of my dad.
I took a deep breath before I stepped out of my car. I closed the door and looked at the height of the building. It still hasn't changed; it's still the same as before. I wonder what has changed in this room; are there some employees that I don't know? Those employees I know are still here? I was excited while at the same time worried about what might welcome me. But I fought that and put everything aside. I was here for my father; I should stamp that in my mind.
The air conditioning greeted me as soon as I stepped into the facility. Almost the majority of the faces I recognized were those of new here. They all appear to be joyful, and they have a lot of makeup on; those men practically have broad shoulders.
Compared to outdoors, where I scarcely saw any changes, inside of this building a lot had been altered since I left three years ago.
I went to the counter and asked them, saying, "Excuse me. May I talk to Mr. Raven Smith? I have a meeting with him at eight in the morning with the board member.”
"What is your name, ma'am?" The saleswoman asked me a question with a smile, so I beamed at her as well.
"Chiara Blair Ashton." I started my name with confidence this time, and she and her colleague looked at each other.
I looked at them when they stated, “Welcome back, ma'am,” because I was having trouble understanding them. I was even more perplexed to see that they were grinning and mentioned, "You grew a lot, ma'am." I started forgetting considering I was unable to commit everything I tried to retain to memory. "Don't you remember me, ma'am? The girl, you always give me a lunch box because my mom had a severe illness and I can't prepare, and then I don't have any money because I saved it.”
"Hi ma'am Cbiara, you helped my baby, and now she's a healthy baby. Thanks to you," I awkwardly gave them a smile because I really don't remember doing anything like that.
"Yeah, I'm happy." I smile at them, even trying to recall everything in the past, but I can't even think of anything. "So...may I now call the CEO of this company?"
"Yes, ma'am, sure!" They were smiling all over their faces, giving me the telephone and teaching me what number.
"Hello, this is Cbiara Blair. Can you pick me up? I'm lost, thanks." I immediately hung up.
"You're so gorgeous, ma'am." The woman I asked complimented me; I don't know if it was sarcasm or genuine, but even so, I still show my gratitude towards her. "How's life abroad, ma'am?"
"I'm fine," I replied briefly. I know it is being rude, but... well, I'm not good at communicating with people. I was just talkative once I was comfortable with that person. I don't know, maybe because they are Lethia apprentices, so as much as possible, I'm trying to get away from them. "oh, Mr. Raven Smith is here." Everyone bowed when someone announced it, and I was the only one who had the guts to meet his eyes fiercely.
He was getting hotter in my eyes every day, something I detest so much that I want to curse myself, but I'm powerless to stop it. And here I am, feeling like a complete idiot who doesn't know anything, and I am always so naive about how I really feel. It irritates me as I don't understand why. Dammit, I felt foolish having the man around! No matter how much I try to ignore it, my heart is screaming his name.
