"I thought you wouldn't need me to translate your document" Arci said sarcastically

"

The staff of the translation office are on leave today. I need to use the document" Richard replied with a serious expression.

Richard smiled when she was not looking.

"You are Bremo's private secretary now as the saying goes, "Even a servant in a high ranking official's home has some power in the eyes of those who want to curry favor with the Military Governor's office you are an important figure" Richard told her.

"Important as I'm, I'm still bossed around by you" Arci said as she get to work.

"We are in different situations it's a new official I've get loads of things to do i need money to establish connection and stabilize my position But the military governor's office doesn't allocate money to me and am worrying about how to get money" Richard replied.

"Get it from Runa isn't she generous to you?"

Richard smiled and glanced at her, "What? Are you jealous of her?" He asked

"Knock it off" She replied, she opened his drawer looking for pen when he saw the translated document of the document she was about to translated.

Richard tried to stop her but it was too late. She brought her the document from the drawer and threw it on the table.

"What? You're teasing me again" Arci said.

"I'm not i just…. I just don't want you to stay in Bremo's office all the time" Richard confessed.

"Nonsense" Arci said and walked out Richard quickly stop her. He stood infront of her.

He took out the talisman from his pocket, "Here you are" He gave it to her again.

"Didn't you say it is a curse on you? Throw it away" Arci said and pushed his hand away.

"This is not a curse. This is the talisman you got from the temple i heard al bot says you asked for two" He put the talisman in her hand.

"It is one, maybe he is mistaken" She accepted it and put it in her pocket.

Richard smiled and reached out to bring out the talisman on her neck.

She snatched it away and put it on her neck back and used her suit to cover it.

Her cheek heat up in embarrassment.

"What is this one For?" He asked her.

"That is none of your business" she told him.

"If it is for Bremo you should have given it to him, so is it for me?" He asked with an obvious smile.

"Don't flatter yourself. Both of these are for myself" she replied.

"Really? Then why did you throw it away after quarreling with me?" Richard asked.

"I threw it away as i pleased. What does it have to do with you?" She asked him and walked out of his office. She feels like she will be seen completely by him if she stayed there for even a minute.

Richmond walked into the office at the same time, "Miss Arci" he greeted her but she couldn't reply and ran out.

Richmond approached Richard, "Commander what is wrong with Miss Arci?"

"Didn't you figure it out? She was conquered by my charm she must be shy" Richard replied.

"Fine. Whatever you say" Richmond gave a nod at the shameless commander.

Richard glanced at him, "Sign the document"

Arci tried to keep her excited heart she brought out the talisman and stared at it.

"He teased me deliberately i should have cursed him instead"

She remembered what he says about needing money and decided to work on it.

When she got home, she started calling the little business owners in Los Angeles to ask help them with money.

"Hello Mr Black, this is the secretary of the defense command i need to talk to you about something"

"What is it?" Mr Black replied on the phone

"I wonder whether it is convenient for you to raise a sum of money for us" Arci asked

"Well, let me think about it" He replied.

"Okay, Thank you" she hung up and dialed another number.

She noticed from the corner of her eyes and saw Runa entered her father study room, she smirked.

"Hello, Mr Blue this is the secretary of the defense command. I need to talk with you about something"

Later she heard her father called her privately, she smiled this is the result she wants.

She walked into her father study room, "Dad you called for me?" She said.

"Arci, come here and sit" Lincoln said And invited her to Seat opposite him.

She sat down opposite him.

"Arci, are you accustomed to the work in the command these days?" He asked her.

"Yes, Both Bremo and Commander Richard take good care of me" She replied

"Arci, you are a smart girl the relationship between Bremo and commander Richard are kind of tricky when working with them you should think carefully before you do anything" Lincoln told her.

"But our family and the Albert family have been friends for generations. I'll help Bremo as much as i can."

"I let you work in the command not only to be Bremo's secretary i want you to think more for our family" Lincoln told her.

"But the military governor's office always help with our family business. Isn't thinking for the Albert family good for our family?" She asked naively.

"Even though we are on good terms, we are two families after all. Arci, why did commander Richard ask you to collect money?" He asked

She tensed up immediately.

"You are the elder daughter of the Lincoln family. Our family does the most profitable businesses in Los Angeles. But you asked those small business owners for money if commander Richard knows that he may think our family is making things difficult for him right ? " Lincoln asked.

"I was thoughtless. I only thought about our relations with the Albert's family i didn't think that much" She apologized quickly.

Note, ( The Albert family is the Military Governor and Bremo is the Military Governor Son)

"It is not your fault, you just need to gain more experience" Lincoln smiled.
