Chapter Forty Seven

Nakalipas na ang ilang araw at linggo, gumaling na rin si Lacy sa kaniyang sakit at kasa-kasama niya ang kaniyang pinsan na si Luci. Para sa 'plano' na gagawin raw nila sa makalawa. Napailing na lamang si Lacy sa kanila at hindi mapigilang makonsensya.

Alam niyang hindi niya talaga original plan ito pero the fact that she knows what they are planning, her conscience is bugging her.

"Are you alright?" Cain asked Lacy. Napatingin naman si Lacy sa kaniya at bahagyang tumango.

"Yes, of course. Why?" I asked him. Kumibit balikat lamang si Cain sa kaniya at ngumiti. "Because you're physically here, but your mind is not," Cain said. Lacy chuckled and shook her head.

"I'm just thinking of something," Lacy said, and smiled at him. Umupo naman si Cain sa kaniyang tabi at tumingin kila Valerie na busy makipagtalo kay Luci.

Hindi na kasi siya pina-uwi ni uncle Lucifer, sila na raw bahala ang rumesolba sa mangyayari at pinag-stay muna siya rito ng ilang araw.

"Care to tell it to me?" tanong ni Cain sa kaniya. Lacy gasped for air before sighing and look at Valerie and Luci, fighting with each other.

"I'm just wondering if we are doing this right," Lacy said. "My conscience is bugging me." She then chuckled and shook her head.

Nasa ibang lugar sila at wala rin sina Pickett, Bella, Xabi, Gabriel at Zeros dahil kung malaman nila ito, panigurado ang mananagot silang lahat. Sa ngayon, kukuha sila ng permiso sa Hari, ngunit hindi ko lang alam kung paano sila kukuha.

Basta ang alam ko lang at ang kanilang ipinag-utos sa akin ay umupo lamang daw ako at sila na ang gagawa sa lahat, basta kailangan nila ng aking tulong.

"Well, his highness promised us that he'll listen to our resentment and complaints. But I don't know what's gotten into him that he didn't listen to us. Especially you, lady Lacy," saad nito. Napakunot naman ang aking noo sa kaniyang sinabi.

"Me?" I asked and pointed my finger at myself. "Why me?" takang tanong ko rito.

"Uhh-- aren't you the fiancé of his highness?" tanong niya sa akin. I am contemplating if I should nod my head, but in the end I still nod my head.

Wala pa namang nakakaalam na hindi ko itutuloy ang kasal, aside from my father and the crown prince himself.

"And he even let you join in, so that means he trusts you and believes in you." I stared at him for a minute and thought of something.

"I think my anxiety just worsened," wala sa sariling saad ko rito. Napatawa naman kaming pareho at napailing.

"Yeah, I understand," Cain said, and smiled at me. "His trust in me will probably shatter..." nanlulumong saad ko rito.

Nagulat naman ako dahil bigla na lamang nitong ginulo ang buhok ko. I was startled when I felt his cold hands when his fingers brush on my forehead.

"We could take the blame, since we just forced you here. So technically, we are at fault," pagpapagaan ni Cain sa aking loob.

"But I am at fault since I tolerate you all," Lacy said. "Are you scared?" pagtatanong ni Cain kay Lacy.

"Should I be scared?" balik na tanong niya sa lalaki. "We're not scared because we know we are doing this right. It feels so right even though it's illegal," Cain said, and chuckled.

"You are so confident that this will succeed," pansin ni Lacy rito. Cain smiled at her and stood up.

"Just like I said earlier, because we believe in you, lady Lacy." Cain tilt his head as if asking her to come with him.

"I think we should stop those two before it escalates," suhestiyon niya. Lacy grinned as she shook her head before standing up and followed Cain.

Golden looked at them and, smirked like a crazy guy. Tinignan ni Golden ang dalawa nang may malisya, tinaasan naman siya ng kilay ni Lacy.

"Looks like the couple is done talking and we can also start now." Golden teases and chuckled at them. Napailing na lamang doon si Cain at napatawa.

"Hey! Why are you partnering my cousin to the other man?" Luci exclaimed. Inaakbayan niya rin si Lacy at hinila papalapit sa kaniya.

Kaagad naman siyang siniko ni Lacy at sinabihan na umayos. Nang lahat sila ay nakatayo na paligid ng mesa na siyang pinaiikutan nilang lima.

There are a lot of papers, blueprints and pictures on the table. Kinuha naman ni Lacy ang isang picture at tinignan ang litratong hawak niya.

Isang middle-aged na lalaki, golden brown ang buhok nito pati na rin ang balbas, paniguradong malaki ang katawan nito, base na rin sa kaniyang bilugang mukha.

Nilatag naman ni Golden ang mga litrato ng mga bata, ang iba sa kanila ay para bang 3-5 years old lamang. Sa kaniyang palagay, dahil sa ang babata ng mga itsura nito, ang mga payat rin na mga mukha.

"These are the children that is currently in the dungeon. We still don't know if there are children hidden somewhere. But we should focus on saving these children, as well as capturing these people," Valerie said.

May bago naman siyang nilatag na mga litrato at ang iba sa kanila ay kilala ko, ang iba ay pamilyar, probably I saw them somewhere and some of them are unknown to me.

"These are the nobles that are always spend their time inside of the casino. We are marking them as accessory to the crime. We are concluding that they already know about these kids," Golden said. I nod my head with what he said.

"Although it's not sure, we should be still cautious," Cain informed. Bigla namang may binato siyang tatlong larawan sa table.

Ang dalawa roon ay lalaki at ang isa ay babae. "As far of what we gathered and investigated. These three are the prime suspects, they also own the casino. But it's kind of odd," ani Cain. Tinanong ko naman siya kung bakit.

"It seems like there are or there's a person behind this. The one that Valerie hired to spy, and secretly investigate inside, heard that they are talking to someone who seems like their real boss. We didn't get a chance to know who it was since their move is only limited."

"Does his highness know these things?" I asked. Nagtinginan naman silang tatlo, tumingin sa akin si Valerie at umiling.

"Since it's my own investigation, I decided not to tell to his highness," he said. I sighed as I shook my head.

We are doom.

"I clearly understand your opinion and decision in this, your plan might work if it's done well. But I think his highness should know these things, he has the right to know this," sabi ko sa kanila at tinignan sila isa-isa.

I crossed my arms above my chest as I looked at the papers and pictures on the table.

"Since we share the same goal, even though the plans are not the same. This information might help his highness and the others to improve their plan," aapila na sana si Valerie sa akin, pero sinenyasan ko muna siyang makinig sa akin.

"I am not saying this because I am siding with them and, I am not also saying that I am in your side. I am just saying that, if both of the team fail in this rescue operation, then life of the hundred children will loss," I said.

Tinignan ako nang diretso ni Valerie bago tumango sa akin.

"So what should we do?" I smirked at him and looked at the others.

"Ohh... I hate that smile," Luci suddenly said. Pero inirapan ko lamang siya at hindi na pinansin.

"Give these informations to his highness and make sure that Bella is not around him. Since we don't know how her mind works. Just make sure that his highness will be the first one to know about this," I informed him. Tumango naman siya at sinabing siya na ang bahala.

"Now..." I clasped my hand, and smiled at them.

"... should we get started, gentlemen?"

"First, we should know the doors everywhere, so that if ever one of us get in trouble, we can exit the place smoothly," I said. Tinuro ko naman si Golden na siyang nakatalaga sa mga blueprints.

"Study the place well and remember every door and where this way will take us," turo ko sa kaniya. "Make sure that everything will be in plan." Tumango siya sa akin bago sumagot.

"On it."

"Valerie," I called him, and he looked at me.

"Make it easier for us to capture these jerks," inform ko sa kaniya. Ngumisi naman siya sa akin bago tumango.

"Basic," He answered. After knowing what are their weaknesses and strengths. I can distinguish what is what and who is who.

This will make our life easier and form a plan that will succeed in the end. Well, I hope it does, because I am risking my life in this.

Cain and I are working for our plan and Luci is just messing. Sinabi ko kasing siya na lamang ang gagawin naming look out pero hindi siya pumayag kaya naman nag-tantrums siya.

"We should make a plan that'll make us enter freely," Cain suggested. Napaisip naman ako sa kung paano ba ang gagawin.

"Entering without anyone suspecting us," I mumbled, and closed my eyes for a bit and then leaned back.

Tumingala naman ako at tumitig sa kisame.

"A disguise." Napatingin ako kay Luci nang magsalita siya. Tinasaan ko siya ng kilay at pina-ulit ang kaniyang sinabi.

"I said, a disguise," ulit niya. Napapilantik naman ako ng aking daliri at parang nabuhayan ang aking mukha.

"That's right!" I exclaime, d and smiled.

"We should make a disguise that would cover up ourselves and that way no one, hopefully, would know that you are Lacy Marquez or you are Cain Garrick," Luci explains. I tapped his back while smiling at him.

"I didn't know that you are good with this." Mayabang namang ngumiti si Luci sa akin, na siyang palalagpasin ko muna ngayon dahil nakatulong naman siya kahit papaano.

I looked at Cain who's confuse. Kaya naman kaagad kong pinaliwanag sa kaniya ang gagawin namin. Cain's face lit up and agreed with the first plan.

"But who are the people that we should disguised as?" tanong ni Golden at lumapit sa amin.

Inilagay niya ang mga papel sa lamesa at sinabing natapos na niya. Maya-maya lang din ay lumapit si Valerie at sinabing tapos na rin siya.

"Disguise? It's risky but I like the sound of it. It's making me feel a familiar feeling of excitement," ngisi niyang saad.

"Maybe a dead person?" Cain suggested.

"It's too risky if we use a dead person name, they might know it," sabi ko sa kaniya.

"How about we mess with their guest list?" Luci suggest. I squinted my eyes at him, and asked him to explain.

"We'll pretend that we are the invited guest and we'll disguise ourselves like we are them," sabi ni Luci.

"Then what are we going to do with those original guests?" I asked. Then suddenly Golden chuckled and that made us to look at him.

"Worry no more, just thank yourselves that you have me," saad ni Golden.

Naguguluhan naman akong tumingin at nagtaka nang ngumisi si Valerie sa kaniya.

"Man.. I picked the best guy for this," proud na proud na saad ni Valerie at nag-apir silang dalawa ni Golden.

Napadako naman ang tingin ko kay Cain at nakangiti siyang bumaling sa akin.

"Golden's family owns a high-end casino." Napa-'oh' naman ang labi ko roon at napangisi.

Ang dami niya palang source na pwede niyang pagkunan. And it just works for their plan, para bang nagkataon pero parang hindi at meant talagang mangyari.

It just.. works well. Which is amazing.

"Then, how about we plan thsi accordingly and organize everything?" tanong niya sa mga ito.

Kaagad silang nagsitanguan at nagsimula nang magtrabaho.

I really have this feeling that this will work according to what we want and it'll succeed. My guts are telling me so.
