Chapter 162 Olivia Successfully Receives the Payment!
It's actually Olivia and Nora!
Many people had heard about what happened with Willie's family.
Everyone thought Olivia had fallen out with the Reed family. They didn't expect her to show up at the company today. Does this mean she made up with Willie?
"Mrs. Reed!" To avoid offending Olivia, everyone greeted her politely.
Olivia smiled slightly, "Good morning, everyone!"
She walked to the finance department and said to the employee inside, trying to appear calm while actually feeling nervous, "Let me see this month's bills."
Employee Kassy didn't know what Olivia wanted to do, so she handed her a thick document folder containing all of this month's bills.
Olivia took it and headed out.
Nora grinned - it actually worked!
"Didn't expect it to go off without a hitch." After leaving Apex Technologies Corporation, Olivia smiled.
Nora was in a good mood, too. "How much is in those bills?"
"Not sure, I haven't been to the company in half a year. Let me calculate." Olivia found a place, and she and Nora tallied up the accounts together, each taking half.
After Nora finished her portion, she told Olivia, "Olivia, I've got over seven hundred thousand dollars on my side."
"I've got over eight hundred thousand on mine," Olivia added it up - over one and a half million dollars total.
Olivia said, "I've been putting up with Willie all this time just waiting for this day. If I had fallen out with him earlier, he would've had the employees guard against me, and I wouldn't have been able to get these bills."
"Olivia, you're so smart!" Nora praised Olivia.
The two went to the market.
Olivia took the opportunity to teach Nora how to collect payments, "Nora, watch what I do. In the future, when we start our own company, you might need to collect payments too."
"Okay." Nora nodded.
They entered the company, and Olivia walked toward the boss's office. Nora followed beside her like a secretary, adding to her presence.
Olivia was a shareholder of Apex Technologies Corporation, so the company's boss wasn't suspicious of her and cheerfully invited her to sit down.
Olivia used her past experience to calmly negotiate with the boss.
Nora watched and learned.
Some bosses were easy to deal with and immediately had their finance department transfer the money, while others kept pleading poverty, meaning they wanted to stall.
Olivia was in a hurry to leave, so she didn't bother much with those bosses who wanted to delay.
By the end of the morning, Olivia had collected $540,000, all scanned into her payment code.
"Collected over five hundred thousand dollars." Olivia was very happy. With this money, she finally had some confidence.
She first paid back the money she borrowed from Nora, then transferred money to Alton - part for medical expenses, part for lawyer fees.
She wasn't sure how much Alton charged, so she just sent what seemed right.
Willie still didn't know what had happened.
He didn't arrive at the company until almost noon. The finance person hadn't gone out to collect payments, and Willie found it strange, "Kassy, why are you still here?"
"Mr. Reed, Mrs. Reed came this morning and took this month's bills. She hasn't brought them back yet." Kassy didn't know what Olivia took them for - Olivia hadn't said.
Willie's expression changed. "She went to collect payments?"
Usually, when the bills were sent over, the other party would transfer money to Willie's account.
But Olivia directly gave them her payment code, and the other companies didn't suspect anything since she was a shareholder of Apex Technologies Corporation and had been doing business for a year or two.
Kassy answered, "I don't know."
Willie quickly checked his own account, and when he did, his face darkened!
He hadn't received a single payment today!
He had a bad feeling and called Olivia.
Olivia answered, "Hello."
"Olivia, what did you do with those bills?" Willie asked through gritted teeth.
Olivia laughed, "I went to collect payments."
"Where's the money?"
"With me," Olivia said this and laughed.
Nora laughed too.
"Where are you now?" Willie asked her coldly.
"Out and about."
"Olivia, what you're doing is stealing company property. I'm ordering you to come to Apex Technologies Corporation right now!" Willie said and hung up harshly.
"Olivia, what did he say?" Nora asked Olivia.
Olivia said, "He said I stole company property and wants me to come to the company right now."
Nora was a bit worried and sent Steven a message, telling him the situation and asking if they should go to the company now.
Steven glanced at it and replied: [Go, don't be afraid of him.]
Nora: [What should we say later?]
Steven: [Have Olivia act like a shareholder. Make sure the Reed family understands this company isn't just Willie's.]
Nora: [What if he calls the police?]
Steven: [A shareholder taking what's rightfully hers - what business is it of the police?]
Nora showed Olivia what Steven said.
Olivia nodded, "Steven's right, I need to act like a shareholder."
If Willie won't divorce and split the assets, she'll tear Apex Technologies Corporation to shreds!
A few minutes later, Olivia and Nora appeared at Apex Technologies Corporation.
Willie angrily looked out from his office and was stunned by Olivia's glamorous and sexy appearance.
First time seeing her dressed so sexy.
Didn't expect her to be this beautiful!
Nora stood beside her, her bright features equally able to capture everyone's attention easily.
Bianca was talking with Hazel.
Hazel had a bruised and swollen face, complaining to Bianca about Olivia and Nora, "Yesterday, Olivia and Nora beat me up together, and your brother too - they all got beaten by them."
Hazel was now thick as thieves with Bianca.
After Bianca found out she was with Willie, she even took her to meet Eleanor. Eleanor was cold to her but didn't show disgust, seeming to accept it somewhat.
Ever since Willow went to prison, the Reed family and Olivia were completely at odds!
Hazel knew Olivia was out of the picture, so she often went to the Reed House to butter up Eleanor, trying to win her favor.
"Olivia and Nora were never good people to begin with. They turned our family into a complete circus, you know that." Bianca's face showed displeasure. She turned her head and saw Olivia and Nora.
Bianca stood up abruptly, "Olivia, Nora, what are you two doing at our family's company?"
She accidentally shouted loudly.
Everyone looked over.
Olivia completely ignored her and placed the remaining bills on Kassy's desk, "I've marked off all the paid ones. What's left are the unpaid ones."
She had gone after all the ones she could collect. For the ones she couldn't get, she wouldn't be able to hide it from Willie by afternoon anyway.
Given his personality, he would definitely call those companies to notify them.
So she wouldn't be able to get those remaining payments later.
Kassy still didn't understand what was happening.
"You went to collect payments?" Bianca was furious and quickly walked over, about to argue with Olivia.
Nora stepped forward, blocking Bianca, "Bianca, if you dare make a move, don't cry when you get beaten up badly."
"Nora, how dare you threaten me?" Bianca glared at her viciously.
Nora stood gracefully, calm and collected, "I'm reminding you, we're all civilized people. Don't make me slap you."
Bianca narrowed her eyes, about to grab at her.
"Bianca, stop it!"
Willie came out of his office, radiating anger, "Go do your work. Olivia, come here."
Willie didn't want to make a scene in the company.
"Willie!" Bianca refused to leave.
"Go!" Willie's face was dark.
Only then did Bianca stamp her foot in frustration and walk away.
Hazel felt a bit uncomfortable, especially seeing Olivia looking so beautiful, and Willie's gaze, looking at Olivia with a kind of infatuation.
"Nora, come in with me." Olivia wanted Nora to accompany her.
"Okay." Nora wasn't comfortable letting Olivia go alone. If she went along, she could report the situation to Steven in real time, and if anything happened, she could help Olivia find backup.
The two sat on the sofa, sunlight streaming in from outside, both women beautiful enough to make hearts flutter.
"Olivia, what exactly do you mean by this?" Willie looked at Olivia.
"I still owe money for my hospital medical bills, and I still owe money for my lawyer fees. You won't transfer money to me, so what's wrong with me taking some myself?" Olivia looked at him calmly.
Willie thought she looked very pretty with her changed image.
He looked at her with narrowed eyes for a while before saying, "How much money did you collect?"
"$540,000."
"That money is the company's operating capital. You have no right to take it" Willie tried to reason with her.
Olivia smiled and said, "The company belongs to two people. I looked at the bills this morning - over one and a half million dollars. I only collected over five hundred thousand. There's still over nine hundred thousand that hasn't been collected yet. You can collect that and take it."
"Is that how you calculate it?" Willie glanced at her, "After deducting the cost of goods, labor, and rent, how much is left?"
"Apex Technologies Corporation makes a good profit every month. It's been profitable for a year or two now. What's wrong with me taking $540,000? Willie, you've been holding onto a year or two of income - way more than $540,000."
"Doesn't buying inventory for the warehouse cost money? Doesn't expanding the company cost money? Doesn't investing in the factory cost money?"
Willie said coldly, "I need to get financing now. I don't have a cent on me. How can I give you money? Olivia, transfer the money back right now, or I'm calling the police."
"Go ahead and call." Olivia wasn't afraid at all, full of confidence, "Forget this month - next month I'll keep splitting the money with you. Either you divorce me, or every month you split the money with me. I don't care. Worst case, I'll just stay here as a shareholder."
Steven was right. Now that she'd lost the baby, she had no worries. Willie was the one afraid the company would collapse.
People with leverage are more afraid of losing than those without.
Willie felt very irritated.
He'd always known Olivia was smart, but he didn't expect that now, she'd become this smart and much bolder.
Looking at Willie's face twisted with anger, Olivia suddenly felt great.
Just then, Bianca suddenly pushed open Willie's office door.
"Finance said you collected over five hundred thousand dollars in payments today. Is this true?" She walked in, glaring at Olivia with eyes that looked like they wanted to devour her.
Olivia sneered, "It's my own company. What's wrong with me taking money? You're just a small manager - how dare you criticize me?"
Bianca was so angry she started cursing, "What do you mean, your company? This is Willie's company! Our Reed family's company. You stay home enjoying yourself every day - what right do you have to say this company is yours?"
