Chapter 134 Steven Shows Off the Gift from Nora
Only two people were left in the hospital room. Nurses would bring meals over on time for all three meals. With the change of environment, everything seemed to calm down.
Nora put the nutritional supplements on to stew.
Olivia was tired and lay down on the soft bed, feeling like she could finally get a good night's sleep.
Nora didn't disturb Olivia. She connected her newly bought headphones and watched Photoshop tutorials on her laptop.
Since she didn't have to work recently, she could teach herself PS and later use it to create product images.
She also needed to take some marketing courses. Even during rest periods, there was so much to learn to prepare for the next round of starting a business.
After being blocked by Olivia, Willie was extremely angry.
He walked into Apex Technologies Corporation with a completely dark expression on his face.
Eleanor and Terry were hospitalized, and now the company was entirely on his shoulders. Bianca was too stupid to rely on.
Willie felt exhausted. He had no one on his side, having to deal with work every day while being caught up in all that family drama!
Hazel made a cup of coffee and thoughtfully brought it into the office.
"Willie, why do you look so worn out lately? Did something happen again?" Hazel's voice was gentle.
She walked over and massaged his shoulders.
When men are tired, they need a woman's tenderness and care the most.
Willie looked up at Hazel.
She was wearing a pretty pink dress, her skin was clean, and she had a very innocent look.
Especially those eyes - very attractive.
Having been upset by Olivia, seeing Hazel's thoughtfulness made Willie appreciate her even more.
"You're the only one who's good to me." Willie closed his eyes to calm himself.
Hazel wanted to sit on Willie's lap.
Willie suddenly opened his eyes, his expression darkening. "Things have been chaotic at home lately. We shouldn't be too intimate."
He was a cautious person. With Olivia wanting a divorce recently, it was best not to get caught doing anything.
"Understood." Hazel nodded.
Better to wait until this matter is settled before getting intimate; otherwise, if caught, she might be beaten up as a mistress.
Hazel still cared about her dignity.
Willie said, "Olivia refuses to drop the case now. She insists on suing my aunt, and she transferred hospitals without permission. The whole family is in chaos."
Hazel's eyes brightened slightly.
If the Reed family was fighting, she was happy!
The more intense the better!
The Reed family never liked Olivia to begin with. Now that she'd lost her child and wanted to send the Reed family's relatives to prison, she was basically asking for it. This time, she would definitely be kicked out by the Reed family.
Then, the position of Mrs. Reed would be hers!
"Willie, just solve problems properly, no need to get so angry." Hazel gently comforted him. "No matter what happens, I'll stand by your side and be your gentlest harbor."
Honestly, in Willie's current state, hearing Hazel's words completely moved him. "Hazel, you're so good to me."
He held Hazel's hand.
Hazel's face flushed. "Willie, will you divorce Olivia?"
Hazel's dream was to become Willie's wife!
Willie glanced at her and said flatly, "She just lost her child. I can't bring up divorce now."
Actually, Willie had no intention of divorcing at all.
Divorce meant splitting assets with Olivia, and he didn't want to go down that path.
Hazel nodded and sweetly comforted him, "That's true. She just lost her child, and you're the one suffering the most. Your mom and brother are both hospitalized, and you're running between the company and the hospital alone. You must take care of yourself - I feel so bad for you."
"You're the only one who feels bad for me."
"Of course, I'm your girlfriend after all."
Her face was flushed, looking so tempting. Willie grabbed her chin and kissed her.
Hazel was bold, too, immediately wrapping herself around him.
She had already become Willie's sugar baby. Willie rented a nice apartment for her and gave her $4,000 spending money every month.
She still had her salary, so with Willie supporting her, she could save all her own money.
Willie also often took her out to eat and on dates. Her life was incredibly comfortable and carefree.
So gradually, she wasn't satisfied being Willie's mistress anymore. She wanted to become Mrs. Reed.
She wanted people to call her "Mrs. Reed" when she walked into Apex Technologies Corporation!
Suddenly, Bianca burst in. "Willie..."
Seeing Willie and Hazel kissing, Bianca immediately understood. She froze!
She never expected Willie to have an affair with Hazel!
She hadn't noticed before!
Hazel was startled too and quickly got off Willie, running out with a red face.
"Why didn't you knock before coming in?" Willie looked at Bianca with a stern face.
Bianca's mouth fell open. "Willie, you and Hazel..."
Willie didn't answer that question, only saying, "What is it?"
"Yes!" Bianca hadn't forgotten the actual business. She walked over. "It's about the store you took back from Nora. I logged in yesterday to check, and that big order is gone - the customer canceled it!"
After an order was canceled, you could still see the details.
Bianca had just checked, and that big order could have made over $70,000 in profit.
They had taken back the store specifically for this customer.
If this big customer placed one order a month for $500,000, they could make $70,000 from him monthly. Over a year, just this customer's contribution in pure profit would be $700,000 to $800,000.
But now this big order was closed. The store was useless - what good was a store making just over $4,000 a month?
Willie frowned. "What happened?"
"I don't know either. I messaged that big customer, but he won't reply."
Willie had a bad feeling.
Had Nora played him?
Willie called Nora using the office phone.
Nora's phone was working.
She paused her PS online course and answered. "Hello."
"It's me, Willie." Willie identified himself, and afraid Nora would hang up, said, "I want to talk to you about your store."
Hearing he wanted to discuss the store, Nora nodded. "Okay, go ahead."
"Why was that big order canceled?"
Hearing this, Nora knew they had logged into the store.
Nora laughed three times in her heart, feeling very satisfied. "Didn't I have no money? I later asked that customer to cancel the order, saying I couldn't fulfill his order."
Nora held the phone between her neck and shoulder, talking to Willie while opening Facebook to find Andrew.
Nora: [Mr. Hayes, I need to tell you something. That store I had before doesn't belong to me anymore. If you need to buy anything, just tell me privately. You don't need to respond to any messages from that store.]
Hearing this, Willie exploded. "How could you make that decision on your own? Just because you couldn't take the order doesn't mean Apex Technologies Corporation couldn't!"
"But that's what Bianca said - that she wouldn't give me monthly payment terms. I really had no money, so what was I supposed to use to buy goods at the market?" Nora put on an innocent expression.
Willie was furious. "You're a grown adult - don't you know to discuss things with us first?"
"That was my order to begin with. I can handle it however I want." Nora said, "You bought my store, not my customer relationships. Now that the store has been sold to you, the transaction is complete. We have nothing to discuss."
When the Reed family bought the store, they were too embarrassed to state their real purpose.
They actually just wanted that big customer!
Nora was very happy to have tricked them this time! And they couldn't even argue back!
She said with a smile, "Also, that store is yours now. I don't want to discuss your store's affairs anymore. How it develops or whether it does well or badly has nothing to do with me. Don't call me about your store's business again."
With that, she hung up.
And started laughing wildly.
"Jerk! Serves you right!" Nora let out a breath, extremely happy!
Willie was furious.
He slammed down the phone.
At the time, Nora had made Willie sign an agreement before sending him the account password. Once he paid, the transaction was final with no refunds.
Nora had calculated every step - she was really hateful!
And he couldn't even back out.
The agreement was in effect!
Seeing Willie so angry, Bianca didn't dare ask more questions and quietly left the office to avoid being scolded.
Outside the office, Bianca looked at Hazel meaningfully.
Hazel took out her newly bought designer powder compact and ingratiatingly handed it to Bianca. "Bianca, this powder compact is pretty good. It's for you."
Actually, her heart was bleeding - she'd just gotten this compact and hadn't even opened the packaging, but now she had to give it to Bianca.
But Bianca was her future family member, so it was necessary to please her.
Bianca took the compact and looked at Hazel. "Hazel, you like my Willie?"
"He's so good-looking and successful in his career - who wouldn't like him?" Hazel shyly admitted.
"When did you two start?"
Hazel bit her lip but decided to tell. "Over four months ago..."
That was around when Olivia and Willie started sleeping in separate rooms.
Bianca felt quite pleased.
She had never liked Olivia and Nora. Now learning Willie had a new love, she was clapping in her heart.
Bianca thought: 'This proves Willie is attractive, and it's Olivia's fault for not being capable enough.
Who can Olivia blame for not making Willie like her?'
Meanwhile.
After Steven arrived at the company and got out of the car, he handed the little golden pig to Clarence.
Clarence looked at it, confused. "Mr. York, this is?"
If it were a plant or a trophy or something, he'd understand, but what did a golden pig mean? It even looked kind of cute.
Steven walked while saying in a good mood, "Go make a crystal stand for the golden pig. I want to put this on my desk."
Clarence was even more confused. "Does the golden pig have some good meaning?"
"This is from Nora," Steven answered.
Clarence finally understood!
So it was from Nora - no wonder Steven was so happy. He nodded and agreed, "I'll take care of it right away."
The two walked toward the elevator. Suddenly, a careless female employee bumped into Steven.
A tray of accessories in her hands all fell out.
The female employee looked up, saw it was Steven, and her whole face went pale!
Steven was famously difficult to deal with!
The female employee apologized nervously. "I'm sorry! Mr. York, I didn't see you just now, I'm really sorry..."
"How do you walk?" Clarence scolded the female employee with a cold face.
But Steven didn't pay attention to their conversation. His gaze fell on a rabbit rhinestone hair clip on the ground.
Nora liked rabbits.
