Chapter 44 44

Chapter 44 44
Third Person POV
"What the fuck, Adrian?" Hazel said she was shocked; out of all the states she expected to see Adrian in, she hadn't expected to see him being mounted by a woman, with him liking and looking into her eyes.
Adrian immediately turned and looked at Hazel; his eyes widened with shock, but the girl who sat on him stayed on him; she didn't even look at Hazel; she didn't seem bothered in the slightest that Hazel had just casually run into the room.
Hazel being ignored while she held down a broken Adrian made her even more furious; she didn't come all the way here just to deal with nonsense like this.
"Hazel," Adrian said surprised; his voice sounded weak and cracked, like he hadn't drank water in a very long while. "It's not what you think," he struggled to free himself, but the woman simply held him down.
Then she turned and smiled at Hazel. Hazel was lost for a moment, lost in the woman's beautiful red hair and dazzling blue eyes. Her smile irritated Hazel to the point that she wanted to smack her face to the ground.
Hazel turned to look at the woman sitting on Adrian; her eyes were dark with anger, and she had no idea why. "You realize you're sitting on an injured man," Hazel hissed at her.
Alice smiled even more and nodded her head. "I can see that for myself, as can you," she replied arrogantly. Her response did not make Hazel feel any better in the slightest; she balled her fists angrily.
"And what happens if you hurt him even more?" Hazel spoke. "You're sitting on a bloody broken man." She took a step forward, and all the while Adrian lay on the bed shocked, watching the altercation between the two women.
"Then I'll fix him as much as I need to." Alice responded, "After all, I did bandage every part of his body," she said slowly as her hand slowly traced the bandages along Adrian's chest.
Hazel watched all this and understood the intentions of Alice. Hazel looked at Adrian, who lay there on bed speechless, and said, "After all you said, this is what you do next?" She shot at him.
Adrian's confusion worsened even further. "What are you taking about? I didn't even do anything." He tried defending himself, but Hazel was too upset to see reason.
"I hope she treats you of all your aches and wounds," she said as she turned. She gave Alice one last look filled with enough malice, then walked out the door, banging it behind her.
As she closed the door, she heard Adrian shouting behind her. "Hey Hazel, wait."
"Let go of me."
"Hazel!" He screamed it; she simply ignored him and walked angrily back up to the door. She couldn't deal with this drama right now; she had more important things to do.
Just as she was about to leave the house, she heard Sara call her. "Hazel, going already?" Sara asked. Hazel tried her best to hold her anger in and looked at Sara with as much respect as she could.
She understood that no matter how she felt right now, the only reason Adrian was still alive was because Sara had something to do with it.
Although she wasn't sure about the affiliation between Sara and the red wolf, her mind suddenly went back to the woman sitting on Adrian with bright red hair. She pushed the thought from her mind angrily.
"Adrian is in good hands," she said forcefully.
"You aren't going to have a talk with him or anything like that?" Sara asked, looking a bit bothered, Hazel, but her lip to stop herself from screaming
"We'll talk later; I have things to do now." Hazel responded as she opened the door, getting ready to leave; she wasn't looking where she was going, simply blinded by frustration and anger.
"Watch it," she heard in front of her as she ran head first into Alpha Draven. She staggered back a bit; she felt like she had run into a wall. She looked up as she immediately recognised the voice and face of Draven .
He looked as he usually would, his calm and reversed self, but she noticed the tightness in his jaw. "Alpha Draven," she whispered under her breath.
He looked at her for a few moments then walked past her without saying a single word. He walked into Sara's house, closing the door behind him, leaving Hazel standing outside with nothing to do.
She felt utterly confused, frustrated, angry, and tired; she didn't know what to do between these two men any longer. Draven  was in a very precarious situation that needed to be handled with the utmost care and support.
And Adrian, on the other hand, seemed to be desperately in love with her, so much that he would risk fighting his uncle for her; she enjoyed frustrating him and watching him while he begged her, just for her to reject him.
That was what she had wanted as revenge. Not Adrian attacking his own uncle and his uncle losing complete control over himself, nearly killing his own son in the process.
She couldn't have imagined what would have happened if Noah wasn’t there to save Adrian. And now she came to seek help from Sara to find Adrian, just for her to find him straddled by another woman.
After all he had said to her, she felt utterly frustrated that the man she had worried herself so much about was happily in the arms of another woman, and now she ran into Draven , whom she thought had left and wouldn't be back for at least a few days; he didn't even look himself to begin with.
She sighed at herself, knowing that she would have to go back inside and deal with the entire situation. She felt tired, too tired to handle this, but this was something that was above her right now.
With a deep sigh, she opened the door and stepped inside. Inside the room, she saw Draven  sitting at the far corner of the room. Sara sat in the chair where she had sat before Hazel left the house.
She walked into the room, unsure of how to handle the situation. Sara gestured at the chair in front of her, and Hazel quietly sat down. The room was filled with the tension that came with awkward silence.
She felt extremely uncomfortable as she looked at Alpha Draven , and he simply looked off into the distance, like he had nothing he wanted to say or do, like he wasn't even sure why he had come here in the first place.
But Hazel knew Sara was the only one that could help him right now. "Full moon is coming soon." Alpha Draven  blurted out randomly; his eyes weren't focused on anything, simply looking at empty space as he spoke.
"I don't know what I'll do; I'm not sure I can control myself from now henceforth."
"No..." Hazel whispered under her breath; she hoped the conversation wasn't going to where she thought it was going. Hazel looked to Sara for support; both their eyes met each other, and Sara nodded her head in understanding.
"And what do you want to do now?" Sara asked carefully; we all knew that Draven was in a startled state; he wasn't his usual self and, as such, couldn't make reasonable decisions as they would usually expect him to.
"What do I want to do?" He said it under his breath, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear. He sighed deeply after he said those words.
"Or what must I do?" He looked at Sara before he continued, "Why didn't it work? You promised me that it would; that's why I did all that I could," he said in a sobber tone.
It was the first time Hazel had ever seen him this sad. "The ritual wasn't complete," Sara answered back. "I'm sure you know why that's the case," she said, so looking at Hazel, Hazel felt a sudden sense of guilt.
The only reason why the curse hadn't been lifted was because she couldn't keep up with the powers that flowed through her. "Then I have no choice but to leave the pack," he said suddenly.
Hazel looked at him in shock; she was right; she knew this was where the conversation was heading; she knew what Draven was thinking. "To protect everyone from me, I'm too dangerous to be around my son or Hazel," he said calmly.
He focused his eyes on Sara. "Is he alive?" She nodded in response. Alpha Draven  gave a sigh of relief, then bowed his head slightly. Sara shifted on her seat before speaking.
"Why doesn't he know yet?" She asked him. "I don't know how to tell him, and I have no reason to be around to tell him," Alpha Draven  responded in regret.
"Think of something to say; there is a way to completely lift the curse once and for all," Sara said with a smile; her smile felt too genuine, almost suspicious.
Draven  looked at her curiously, "And what is it this time?"
"You simply need to mate with the one whose blood was used in the ritual." Sara said, smiling at the both of them.
