Chapter 33 33
Hazel's POV
"Wtf!" I cursed and gazed up into her brown eyes in anger. The young man Draven put in charge of me stepped forward and served as a human wall between that rude girl and me. "Elias, get out now!"
"I'm sorry, Debbie, but I've been put in charge of keeping her safe here. So I won't be letting you harm her." He said it plainly. Not that she hadn't already caused harm anyway.
I mumbled under my breath. "Elias, as your future Luna, I order you to get out of the way." My eyes suddenly widened in shock. Could she be Morris's daughter? The one who is Draven's arranged mate That explains why she hates me so much already.
"Debbie, you are supposed to be Luna, not Luna. Before you keep parading about boasting, remember that I’m the current Alina of this pack.”
“Isn't that why you're here to cause trouble?" I could feel her rage and anger. At that moment, she looked like she could rip me in half if she got the chance to.
"Who are you? Who are you?"She yelled. I wanted to let this go, but if I did, then I'd come off as weak to everyone again. Though it is not the time to show the other side of the coin. At least she would get to see the tip of the iceberg.
"Elias, move aside." I ordered. My chin was raised slightly as I met her gaze. By her reaction, I could tell that she was taken aback by my sudden change in demeanor.
"Hi, Debbie. I am Hazel, princess of the Blue Moon Pack." I replied simply. "The Blue Moon Pack? The family who disowned their own daughter” she said laughing out loud.
“How could Alpha Draven marry someone who was thrown out by her own family?” I knew what she was trying to do but i won’t give in. "I won’t talk about my family with you, because my words alone won't be convincing enough for you.”
“So why should I waste my precious time and energy?" I explained. "Hazel from the Blue Moon Pack, and what are you doing with my mate?" she yelled angrily at me.
I felt aggrieved hearing her call Draven that. "I should be asking you that question. Who are you?" I asked seriously. "Are you deaf? I told you I am Draven's mate and the true Luna of the pack!" She yelled at me so rudely.
"Arranged mate. You are Draven's arranged mate and have not even been officially given the title of Luna, but you already parade yourself as Luna of the Diamond Pack." I retorted.
I am not about to let myself be trampled down by a spoiled brat. "Who the hell do you think you are?" She asked angrily. "Darling, there's something you should know before speaking to me in that tone.”
“I've got anger issues and lack patience, so if you are not going to speak nicely, It'd be preferable if you stay away from me, or better yet, leave the exact way you got here."
I said it challengingly. My mind is already in shambles, and I have no idea what to do or how to aid Draven. The feeling of being useless is beginning to cloud my thoughts and swallow me whole.
And all this girl could think about is her title as Luna. She even had the time to get all dressed up before coming here. When did she have the time to reflect on what's more important now? The safety of the pack and not her title.
"You freaking crazy bitch! Get out now!" She yelled at me rudely. "No, I won't leave. For your information, the one you call your mate is my husband, and I am already pregnant with his child.
Bur that's something you should already know about by now. So I have the upper hand here; I just chose to be nice. As I mentioned earlier, I lack patience, so do not rile me up," I warned seriously.
"No way in hell, bitch. And do not go around flaunting that you are now officially his Luna; you are a lowly social climber trying to brainwash him. We both know you must have seduced him.”
“There is no way Alpha Draven would let just any woman get close to him, so you must've drugged him, you little good for nothing, social climber," she spouted.
"You know what?" I drawled and walked a few steps closer to her. "You are right. This simple girl managed to seduce Alpha Draven of the Diamond Pack, despite being from another pack and barely having seen him twice.”
“Something you couldn't achieve with all that expensive makeup and skin care routine you do. Piece of advice: getting excessive cologne on doesn't make them attracted to you," I said and tried to walk away when she roughly held my arm, stopping me from progressing further.
"How dare you, bitch? Who do you think you are, huh?" she said in anger. "If you do not let go of my arm, then I will show you just how bitchy I am," I said to her with a cold and dangerous aura, and she finally let go of my hand.
"Good choice." And with that, I turned and left her standing there, all alone in the hallway. Elias followed closely behind me as I headed for my room.

Third Person POV
Back in the meeting hall, the elders had all already been dispatched in preparation for the war. There was a lot to be done, as they all knew that the war would affect so many other factors, like food supply, and would lessen the freedom among the young pups.
Morris, on the other hand, remained in the mansion; he felt really uneasy about this Hazel girl. He felt he couldn't trust her no matter what; it's not just about his daughter anymore but the fact that something is being hidden.
Something about her identity isn't fully clear yet. She's hiding something, and he needed to find out. Now he has no idea how he is going to face his daughter; she matters a lot to him, and he never wants to see her hurt, no matter what.
When the elders came to the decision that Debbie would be the Luna, he was overly excited because they would be a part of the royal family. He wondered how she was faring now. She must be heartbroken.
He wanted to go back home, but the thought of Debbie begging and pleading with him while crying tore him inside out. How would he be able to watch his little princess beg him for something he cannot give or guarantee?
Suddenly Debbie walked in, infuriated, and saw her father looking down, lost in outer space, but she had no regard for whatever was bothering him, as she should be more important. She should be prioritised.
"Dad!" Debbie yelled at him, and he raised his head to meet the gaze of his daughter as she stood there, tears welling up in her eyes. He could tell someone had riled her up, and she was about to throw a tantrum as usual.
"Princess," he called, and he stood up, walking closer to her. "What's wrong? Why are you this way? Did someone dare to annoy you?" He asked, his gaze filled with worry and concern.
"Dad. Why is this happening? It's your fault! " She yelled at him, infuriated. "Princess, what have I done? You know I always give you everything you want. Has there been anytime I have forsaken you in any way?" He asked, trying his best to calm his daughter down.
After the death of his beloved wife, he made sure to protect and love Debbie more than a father should. He would give her anything, no matter the loans he had to go for it. As long as it would make her happy, he would do his best to get it, and that was for a reason.
The reason is their biggest family secret. "Really? Really Father? Okay, then... What about Alpha Draven?" She asked. Morris pried his gaze away from her at the mention of that issue. "If you truly give me all that I want, then Draven will be mine by now.”
If you had only listened and made the elders urge him to get mated to me sooner, then this Hazel girl wouldn't be in the picture!! She yelled at him, and he stood there quietly without making a sound.
"Now I want something else, father. I want her dead. DEAD!"
