Chapter 13 Chapter 13: Escape Plan
“Let me go!”
“Not so fast, pumpkin,” he muttered, his face moving towards mine.
“You said you wouldn't kiss me!” I yelled again as if Lucian were a truthful person. There's no telling when he would go back on his word.
He didn't reply, and a smirk suddenly appeared on his face. Though when I expected his lips to meet mine, he suddenly moved away and instead teased my neck.
Heat rushed into me instantly. His lips brought desires I couldn't explain.
“I can make you want more without a kiss,” he muttered thickly, his breath hot on my neck.
I suddenly found it hard to breathe properly. He wasn't suffocating me in a bad way unfortunately.
“Feel this?” He pushed his tongue out, and the feel of it on my skin brought raw happiness to my heart.
My body shuddered at it, and I found myself leaning closer to him. Sadly, I didn't want him to stop.
His strong arms suddenly went through my shirt. Yet, not a word formed from my mouth. Maybe I should scream and make him stop but I didn't want to.
A groan escaped my throat as his hands gently lifted my breast. Every part of my body was now on fire.
The heat was too intense and almost overwhelming.
“Aria,” he whispered into my ear, the sound turning me on unexpectedly. How is he able to pronounce my name so seductively? I closed my eyes, savouring the moment.
But suddenly, the heat disappeared. I opened my eyes and he was standing a step away, a dangerous smirk on his face.
“See Aria, you can't escape me,” he laughed.
I had that tiny urge to slap the smirk off his face, but I was, in fact, embarrassed at myself. I lost myself for a moment right there.
Sadly enough, if Lucian had asked for a kiss, I would have gladly given it to him.
“Just as your body responded to me, that's how much control I have over you,” he uttered.
“Never! You may have brought me but that's how much you owe!”
He hesitated, his eyes gently scanning me. “As I said, you will soon be asking for that kiss, and well, more. That, I assure you.”
I folded my hands over my chest stubbornly.
“That day will never come.”
Honestly, it won't. I have no idea what Lucian is planning by keeping me here, but I need to leave as fast as I can. Lucian is a dangerous man, and staying here is dangerous for me.
I don't care how it has to go. I will get out of here.
“Guess your assistant is ready to start her job,” he said suddenly, jolting me out of my thoughts. “I will leave you guys alone then, but just know, I'm close by,” he finished, and without waiting for me to say something, he vanished.
Not that I have something to tell him, though. In fact, I want him gone from my sight. The more he stays closer, the more dangerous it gets for me.
“Miss!” Chloe called excitedly, a smile adorning her face. She hurried to suffer beside me. “This place is huge. I've always dreamt of entering the pack house. Who knew Alpha Lucian pack house would be my first?”
For someone like Chloe, she's too excited. I mean she has the right to be. She got employed and not sold. I wonder how she would have felt if the position were changed.
Though, I wouldn't have been the one applying for a job at Lucian packhouse. I would have been with Philip.
“Why don't we start by showing me your room, miss?”
I nodded once, with a forced smile. “Nice idea.”
She took my hands and dragged me up with a loud laugh. Honestly, I have no idea why she's so happy.
Nevertheless, I led her to my room. Small but well furnished. I can say Lucian took all his time here to make sure it was all worth it.
“Your room is so beautiful! Is that Harry Potter?” She exclaimed and rushed to the bookshelf. She took one of the books and perused it. “Have you read all these books?”
“Read? When I just got here.”
She looked at me. “You just did? When?”
“Today. May I know why you applied for this job, aren't you afraid of the wolves?”
“Are you not?” She smiled back.
I didn't apply for this job but she didn't have to know that.
I cleared my throat. “Well, you can take the book if you want.”
“Really?” She grinned. “Thank you so much. I will definitely return it!”
As if I care!
I walked right into the room and sank into the sofa. Since Chloe walked in on her own, she should know how I can escape this place. But then I don't want to put her into trouble with the Alpha.
Though I can bet the rumours about how dangerous the Alpha can be aren't true. If yes, he wouldn't be threatening me with kisses when he should have given me a real punishment since I was sold to him.
“Miss?” Chloe called suddenly.
I looked up. “Yes?”
Her expression softened. “Are you alright? You seemed lost.”
“When are you allowed to go home?”
“Whenever I want,” she smiled again. “And you?”
“I don't know,” I shrugged slightly.
“What do you mean by that?”
She just got here, I shouldn't bother her with my problem. Besides, she might really get into trouble.
“Nothing, can you please get me a glass of juice and some cakes?”
She smiled instantly. “Right back!” And off she went.
I got up quickly and went to the window. I looked down, as if to see what Lucian was looking at previously. Then, I realized the door was overlooking the forest, but there were burglars on the windows.
How can that be? That's old style. But then, that has cancelled one of my options.
I sank back into the chair, my head calculating. When I leave this place, I will get as far as I can. If Lucian can't find me, he should get Elias. Elias really deserves to be punished.
But when I finally earn money, I can pay Lucian back.
The only options remaining now would be through the main door. Oh, I have to think of something sooner.
“Right here!” Chloe announced but I suddenly had the urge to use the bathroom.
“Be right back!” I told her and hurried inside the bathroom.
But the first thing my eyes went to was the small door facing the bathroom. And it wasn't having any bars.
Yes! My escape plan!
