On the way back, Joseph's matter kept lingering in my mind, and for a moment, I was a bit distracted.

Howard called me several times before I heard him.

"What are you thinking about, so lost in thought?"

Howard frowned but didn't get angry.

I sighed. This matter was the Smith family's business, and I had no right to interfere, so I decided to change the subject.

"I was thinking about Liz. She's so cute. If we had a child, would they be as cute as her?"

This topic was a bit heavy, and Howard's face instantly turned pale, but he still forced a smile.

"They will be, Kathie. We will have children."

On the day of the gallery opening, Howard and I dressed up and arrived at the venue, only to see Matthew standing at the door with a troubled expression.

"Our Mr. Moore, what's wrong? Why the long face?"

Howard teased him on purpose, or maybe he felt a bit pleased seeing Matthew like this.

"I was supposed to have a female companion for the opening today, but I just got back to the country and don't know anyone!"

Matthew looked at us with a troubled expression.

Howard cleared his throat and spoke calmly.

"A female companion is not impossible to find. I do have someone in mind, but I don't know if Mr. Moore would be interested."

Matthew's expression changed instantly, and he looked at Howard eagerly.

"Howard, where is she? Show me quickly!"

Howard pretended to be deep in thought.

"Don't rush, she'll be here soon."

I was also curious about who Howard would introduce to Matthew.

Soon, a car stopped in front of us, and Malcolm got out, then opened the passenger door.

A glamorous socialite stepped out.

She was wearing a dark blue evening gown adorned with tiny diamonds, and a diamond necklace around her neck was particularly eye-catching, almost blinding me!

As soon as the girl saw Howard, she eagerly rushed over.

"Howard, where's the handsome guy you said you'd introduce me to?"

Howard pointed to Matthew in front of him, and the girl followed Howard's finger. When their eyes met, I could almost feel the sparks flying in the air.

Matthew blushed and was the first to extend his hand.

"Hello, I'm Matthew Moore, the organizer of this art exhibition."

The girl blushed as well, hesitated a bit, and shook Matthew's hand.

"Hello, I'm Winter Hayes, a college friend of Howard's."

After they introduced themselves, Matthew blushed and spoke.

"Um, may I ask if you could be my companion?"

"Sure."

Winter linked her arm with Matthew's, and I must say, they looked quite a match standing together!

For a moment, I was mesmerized.

Howard patted my shoulder with some force.

"What, are you jealous?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Jealous of what? I just think they look so good together. This Ms. Hayes, whose daughter is she?"

Howard nodded.

"The Hayes family has been in politics for generations, but Winter is an exception. She has no interest in those rules and regulations and loves art. But she couldn't withstand the family pressure and had to study finance."

"Coincidentally, I have something to ask of the Hayes family recently, so I thought I'd introduce her to a boyfriend, killing two birds with one stone."
