CHAPTER 39
Seconds after the car was crashed by the long truck, Alpha Dante slowly pulled himself out from under the car, bleeding on the leg. He tried as much as he could to dodge the truck but intentionally hit Lena, knowing that the truck would do so if he didn't.
He had tried to view the plate number of the truck, but it had none, which made him understand that it was a setup. So, hitting Lena himself would save her rather than letting the truck do so.
Gradually, he stood from the ground and looked around the corner. The truck was still alarming, and he could hear murmurs from it. He glanced at his car and scoffed-it was fucking damaged beyond repair.
"Lena!!" he nibbled on his bottom lip and began searching for her while still bleeding. He needed to leave that spot first to save her life before any other thing.
Hearing her soft groans like one battling for life, he rushed over to her cold body lying lifeless on the floor. He squatted before her and placed his ear on her chest-her breathing was faint, and he needed to do something before she stopped breathing.
"Let's get out of here first-" he lifted her into his arms, his head bent low as he made his way into the bush. As he entered, he came between a large rock that could hide them, and then he laid Lena on the floor.
He pulled out his shirt and tied the wound on his leg to quit bleeding, and then he positioned her to lay straight.
First, he checked and there was no wound on her skin, and he prayed that she didn't have internal bleeding. The only thing she noticed was the bleeding between her thighs that had already stopped from the hit and that had soaked her clothes.
Tears welled up in his eyes. "It's all my fault for letting you go. You were supposed to take enough rest even if you insist on leaving after I change my mind…." he placed his palms on her chest, slowly pressing it so her heart could pump more blood all over her body.
When she felt it was okay, he went ahead for a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation which made her cough slightly.
"Check very well. There's no way he would get off after being hit by this truck. He isn't some ghost…" A loud masculine voice drew his attention back to the road.
His wolf growled. "Tyrion!! How did you end up not being executed? And then you are planning my death?" he rubbed his index finger under his nostrils and sniffled. "I will come back for you…." he vowed and lifted Lena into his arms.
It would take hours before he reached the palace, but he would have to transform to speed it up so Lena could be healed.
As he stood, her eyes slowly opened, meeting his. Her lips stretched apart while she slowly raised her finger to touch his cheek. "Alpha!!" she blinked, still smiling. "I knew it. You would come for me-that was you in the car…"
He exhaled heavily. "You don't have to talk much or it would stress you…."
"I'm…." she sighed. "I'm already stressed. Do you think I can make it again?"
He shook his head. "Stop scaring me. I already did some first aid on you and I believe you will survive."
She nodded slightly, dropping her hand from his cheek. "I trust you to take care of our baby and give him a nice name…." She breathed fast for some time and then it returned to normal. He wanted to speak, but she covered his lips. "Make sure…he…he doesn't have…. a filthy fate like me." he breathed out heavily. "If I'm reborn, I would find you-"
He gulped harder, trying as hard as he could to hold back his tears. "Stop blabbering. You will get better and we will train the child together…."
"We are enemies. I will be reborn to not be your enemy again…." she sneezed, tears dropped from her eyes. "Take care….. of yourself, and our child."
"Lena!!"
"I love you-"
Her hands dropped weakly. Her eyes shut slowly.
He shook his head and dropped her on the floor again. "You can't do this to me. We have to train that boy together…" he landed a heavy slap across her face. "How dare you try to leave? Didn't I tell you that I alone own your life?" another thunderous slap…. and then he began summoning his wolf energy the moment her finger moved.
Even if it meant consuming all his energy to save her, he would do more than that.
His eyes shut, and hot tears rolled down.

"How incompetent you all are. We lost those two children and you couldn't even crash him to death…." Tyrion's voice reverberated before his men. He gripped his hair and yanked it heavily. "Didn't you know you would hit the car until it got completely damaged? Who said you would hit it just twice?"
They all got to their knees, their heads lowered in apology.
"Now, how will I find him? What will I use as a threat to bring him here again? Do you think I will conquer it if I go after him with his men scattered all over the place?" his fist clenched. He had wished that tonight would be the end of Don but it didn't work out.
He was going insane and hated everything.
"Even when you saw her crossing the road, you couldn't even speed up and hit her first. If you did, he would certainly come after me and I will accomplish my goal…."
One of his men lifted his head-the driver precisely. "She won't survive it. He hit her first, and then after I hit his car, she somersaulted off the car and landed with his head on the floor. I doubt she will survive it, so he will soon come for you."
Tyrion clenched his jaw. He was so infuriated on a job not well done after so many days of planning and spending on it. He had trained them so well and made sure Lena and her brother had no means of escaping, yet it didn't work out.
He lifted his head and faced them. His hand dipped into his side pockets. "Fill the guns with enough bullets. My master catches prey through the club, and now that he's my prey, I will catch him there as well."
"How long do you think it will take? I'm sure he won't be there tonight….."
Tyrion sighed. "I don't care how long it will take."
"What about them? Should we go after them?"
He shook his head. "I have to get rid of him first and handle them the way I like or I will never succeed."
