CHAPTER 36

Tyrion picked up the cigarette, looked at it, and dropped it on the floor. "It's a pity I won't have it again." he shook his head pitifully. "I have to live, not for a few years, but for how long I wish." he rubbed his finger on his lips. "Make sure they don't have a way to escape from there….."

The young man standing before him bowed to him. "It's already well protected-"

He picked up the envelope on the floor and pulled out the letter in it. For the fifth time, he read it and burst into laughter that wasn't ordinary. "I found it the last day I stepped foot in her father's home. That day, I wept even as the man that I was and vowed to find her brother for her no matter what…. but she disorganized everything and even found him herself…." he dropped the envelope on the floor and stood up.

He had known that Lena had a lost brother but hid it because he planned to surprise her with her family, only to get stabbed by her master's mate that he also cared for.

"If I had known that it would turn out this way, I would have found him and used him as a threat to keep her shut….." he shoved his hair backwards. "It's a pity. They had the worst father ever…."

The young man listening to him cleared his throat. "What do you mean by that? Was the father aware that the child was stolen?"

"Not stolen, but was supposed to be dead." Tyrion glanced at him. "He was narrow-minded at the start. His wife was pregnant, and on delivery, she first conceived the boy who was said to be dead. Unknown to them, the child wasn't dead, although he was supposed to be dead as planned by Lena's father's ex-lover….."

"Ex-lover?"

Tyrion nodded. "I read everything here. He had promised her marriage but failed her after finding his mate, who was Lena's mother. So, the lady vowed to him that she would get rid of the child after delivery….. which led to the disappearance of the son, unbeknownst to them, he wasn't entirely dead and was picked up by the human lady who trained him up."

A pause. A deep swallow.

"The ex-lover was also less blinkered that Lena's mother was bearing twins, and Lena was the second, so she left the hospital…. but conceived Lena at midnight."

The young man was stunned to hear that.

"He wrote down everything on the letter and kept it as if he knew he would die." Tyrion chuckled and dipped his palms into his pockets. "When he found out that his son was still alive, he didn't want to risk the child's fate, so he secretly funded the human lady to care for his son until the day he died. He must have wished to tell Lena everything."

"I would say that he never loved Lena's mother or he wouldn't murder her just to achieve the throne. He still loved his ex but needed to have his mate beside him." the young man added, and Tyrion nodded in response. "Lena will be pained if she ever finds out this. I'm very sure she already guessed that the guy is her family, but a part of her will still doubt it since they never grew up together, and her parents never talked about him to her."

Tyrion sighed, winking. "I will spare her the stress to find out what's relating them. They will die together, and I will have them buried together, too."

"Are you serious about Don? Won't it be better to make peace with him?"

"And you think he will welcome me after I kill his mate? Have you witnessed him snap someone to death?" Tyrion retorted, and the man shook his head. "You want to watch him do that to me?" he shook his head again. "He won't welcome me back again-never will he do that, so I'd better get rid of them at once and live freely the way I wish."

There was silence for some time.

"What of their child? Will you kill the innocent boy?" the man inquired, staring at Tyrion.

Tyrion shook his head. "I will send him away so he will have no business with the werewolf world."

"Taking care of Lena and her brother is a piece of cake….. but about Don…. how will you do that? When it comes to strength, we are of no match to him….." The young man made a long face, looking concerned.

He knows so well that Alpha Dante is not easy to tackle. He is one mighty Alpha wolf who can compete with a Lycan and even a cougar.

"I have my way of doing things….." Tyrion uttered and took out his cell phone that was gotten for him by the men who saved his life. They have been loyal to him even when he served Don, and he had planned everything with them from the start.

He dialed a number, and it rang the first time but wasn't picked up, then he redialed it.

"Consigliere!"

Tyrion smiled. He loves it when mentioned by that title, and he dreams of being the Don soon after completing his mission.

"Have you gotten the truck ready?" he asked through the cell phone.

"Yes! Everything is ready, and we are tracking him. He will find you soon…."

He hung up the call. "I am expecting a visitor soon. Get ready to attend to him," he said to the young man before him who bowed and left the room.

***

Lena has been pacing around the room, contemplating over the suggestion Alfred brought up. If Tyrion is truly on meds to be able to live, then before they escape-to make things easier for them, they have to take it off-damage it if possible, and then escape.

She placed her palm on the wall and released a deep breath. "If he's residing in this building, then it must be somewhere around. But, how do I get it and still be unscathed?" she glanced at Alfred, who was staring at the floor. "I doubt that we aren't siblings even though my parents never said anything about him. So, I have to save him at least."

Through the tiny window, she looked out to see that it was getting dark. "Alpha, you must live and protect our child as I'm about to sacrifice my life. Tyrion isn't dead-I'm not sure if you are aware. You must see that he dies at all costs no matter what." she exhaled deeply.

After some time, she went back to sit with Alfred. She tapped him, drawing his attention. "Let's go find the medicine he's taking. Or, will you wait for me here?"

"Why should I wait here when we agreed to do everything together?" he slammed back at her.

She licked her lips. "It's okay! You will be at my back. You know, your wolf hasn't recuperated so well, so I have to fight our way."

He nodded, and they stood up and walked to the doorpost.

She peeped through to see two hefty men standing at the door. "How do I handle them? There's no weapon here…"
