Nyxoria smiled, a mixture of relief and gratitude washing over her. "Thank you, Ora. What would I have done without your help? All my whole life, I thought I was born without a wolf, but who would’ve thought it was actually caged? And not just any wolf, a wolf dragon." Her excitement was clear in her voice.

Ora chuckled softly. "With me, everything is possible, Nyxoria."

Nyxoria nodded but then tilted her head in thought. "But why are you helping me? How did you know my wolf was caged? And when are you finally going to show me your face?"

Instead of answering, Ora turned her back to Nyxoria, folding her arms behind her.

"Won't you answer me Ora? Now that I think of it, you knew Mary was putting those leaves in my food and instead of you telling me the truth you rather beat around the bush and told me to forgive Mary instead, how am I sure you are not working with my Uncle?"

Ora let out a snort. "Nyxoria, I understand your fears, but I’ve told you before, I’m not here to hurt you. If I was, do you really think I would have helped you reclaim your wolf dragon? Would I have warned you about Mary at all? Let me tell you why I gave you that warning, if you had eaten her food in the castle, your dragon spirit would have never merged with you. The whisperleaf had already severed the connection between you and your wolf dragon."

Nyxoria’s brows furrowed. "If the connection was broken, then how did my dragon merge with me?" Her suspicion toward Ora grew.

Ora snorted again. "That’s because you’re living in the same castle as Tharros. His aura was what allowed me to reach you and what gave your dragon the opening it needed to merge with you," she explained, letting out a brief laugh. "If I want to harm you, do you think I’d be able to stand this close to you? Do you think I’d be meeting you in your dreams so freely? Tharros’ dark aura wouldn’t allow me anywhere near you if my intentions were bad."

Nyxoria crossed her arms. "Then why are you hiding your face?"

Ora sighed. "I have my reasons, Nyxoria. This is the way I chose to come to you." She turned back around to face Nyxoria. "Do you really want to know who I am that badly? To see my face?" She asked.

"Yes," Nyxoria said firmly. "I need to know if you’re truly helping me or if there’s something else you’re after."

Ora nodded her head. "Then let’s make a deal."

Nyxoria narrowed her eyes. "What kind of deal?"

"I will reveal my face to you on the day you remember the night you’ve been trying so hard to recall." Daisy uttered.

Nyxoria blinked in surprise. "Really?"

Ora nodded. "I don’t know about others, but I don’t go back on my word."

Nyxoria studied her carefully. "And how do I trust that you’re telling me the truth?"

Ora turned her back to her once again. "Because there are only three people in your life who would never dream of hurting you, and they are, Tharros, Dika… and me."

Unknown Palace:

Daisy was chained, her wrists bound tightly, her legs shackled.

As she slowly opened her eyes, she glanced around the dimly lit room. The only source of light was a single oil lamp, casting flickering shadows against the stone walls. She immediately tried to summon a spell to break free, but before the words could leave her lips, a mocking snort cut through the silence.

"You can't break those chains," a voice said.

Daisy turned sharply toward the sound, and her eyes widened slightly when she saw him. Even in the faint glow, the twin swords strapped to his back, faintly pulsing with red lightning, gave away his identity.

"I should’ve known it was you," Daisy muttered, a dry chuckle escaping her lips. "So you're the one who struck me from behind while I was talking to Fefe? Guess you didn’t have the courage to face me head-on."

She had scanned the room when she first woke up, he hadn't been there. Which meant he had just stepped through the walls.

Noah shrugged, completely unfazed. "No, I didn't face you head-on," he admitted easily. "That’s why I struck from behind. Not my fault you were not too focused on your surroundings to sense me."

Daisy scoffed. "So, why am I here? Let me guess, Bana sent you? If she did, tell her whatever she’s planning won’t work."

Noah smirked. "I was actually surprised when I first heard you were breaking the pact," he said. "After everything you’ve done, do you really think helping Nyxoria will erase your past sins?"

"I made my choice, Noah," Daisy shot back. "Finding my own path has nothing to do with any of you, so let me go."

Noah let out a laugh. "You really think you're in a position to demand anything?"

Daisy narrowed her eyes. "Then what do you want from me? Why keep me here?"

"Lady Bana doesn’t want you interfering." Noah answered.

Daisy chuckled bitterly. "So she sent you to babysit me? What a joke."

Noah’s smirk never wavered. "You won’t ruin something that took years to plan."

Daisy’s expression hardened. "I’ll destroy whatever she’s plotting," she vowed. "And let me tell you this, it won’t be easy getting Nyxoria from Tharros."

"You’re right," Noah admitted, tilting his head slightly. "Taking Nyxoria won’t be easy. But thanks to you, she’ll walk straight into our hands. After all, you promised to help her remember everything, didn’t you?"

Daisy clenched her jaw. "She knows what I look like. She knows that no one works for me in that old hut of mine. Your plan won’t work."

Noah’s smirk grew wider. "Oh, but you’re forgetting one thing, Fefe has already taken your place. She has already transformed into you," he said, amusement lacing his voice. "You forget Fefe takes the shape of others who are weak. And it’s not our fault that the once strongest spellmaster is now hanging like a caged bird and someone else sits in her place."

Daisy thrashed in midair, struggling against the chains that held her. Noah was right about one thing, the chains are hard to break but…

Noah simply watched, tilting his head. "You may not realize it yet, but with your help, Nyxoria will walk right into our trap," he said, his voice calm, almost mocking. "So, in a way, we should be thanking you, Daisy. In fact Lady Bana sends her thanks."
