Chapter 77: Die together

Logan’s pov

“I want all of them gone, I don’t want to their faces ever again” Reene said walking away.

It didn’t escape me at all how Lucas and Reene’s father had these big smiles on their faces.

What are they planning?

And why is Reene now in on it with them?

“Well, you heard her, be gone” Lucas said, and Amber looked at him.

“You said you will protect us” Amber said, and Lucas just shrugged.

“You have been nothing but a nuisance, why would you think that I would even lift a finger to help you?” Lucas asked her.

“You can have her; she is all yours to punish for whatever reasons you have” He added looking at me.

“Of course, she is coming with us.

She has a lot to answer for, I think its time that we go Logan” Sean said looking at me.

I looked at the place where Reene disappeared to.

I would have loved nothing more than to spend forever with her.

But she doesn’t seem to have any interest in me or anything that I have to say.

I am glad she is okay; I am happy that she is alive even though my heart is in pain.

I don’t know what to do anymore, she is right in her own way.

After all I did to her who am I to try and get her humanity back?

I looked at Amber, she killed Reene, she planned all of it to kill Reene.

Everyone here did, I wish I could be angry with them and kill everyone, but I cant.

Who am I to judge them?

I had plotted to do the same thing, but as for Amber she is the one whose misdeeds I won’t forgive.

“Clean up the blood, and make sure that everyone who doesn’t belongs here leaves” Lucas said.

My eyes landed on the dead body, that look in Reene’s eyes had such pure hatred.

Its one of the reasons that I have also decided its time to go back home.

It was the same as that day, but this time the aura was darker with no traces of light in her.

Back then I could trace some light in her.

I could trace the goodness in her.

But not today, today in that moment it was as if the last glimpse of the old Reene was buried.

She isn’t someone I will be able to change anymore, all I can do is be grateful that she is alive and well.

“Take her, Amber you need to pay for your crimes.

You did a lot of really terrible things, its time you face your justice” I said, and she scoffed but didn’t say anything.

We left the city of light, unless that man allows us here then I wont ever be able to see Reene ever again.

I miss her more than life really, I missed her even when I saw her.

My heart is heavy, but not as heavy as it was when she was dead.

The fact that she is here, the fact that she will look at the same moon that I do.

The mere fact that we will both be under the same sky brings me great closure.

We got into our cars and drove out of the city of life.

Life has given you a second chance Reene, I hope this time you truly live and you are free.

Back then you couldn’t live freely could you?

You were scared of the darkness that was hiding somewhere within you.

But now you don’t need to be scared anymore, live your life even with that darkness.

I hope now you are truly free to live my little frog, maybe this wasn’t just our time.

We got to the pack mansion and Harry had handled everything well.

“I am sorry things didn’t work out with Reene” Amy said, and I just shrugged.

“We got to see her alive and well, I am just glad her life was cut short.

I knew she was always meant to live for a long time” I said, and she nodded

. It was always just a sentence in my head, repeating itself over and over again.

‘Reene isn’t someone who is meant to die’, it kept repeating over and over in my head.

“How should we deal with Amber?” Amy asked, I honestly don’t know how to deal with her.

“There must be a way to take away her magic, and then take it to where it really belongs” I said, and she thought about it.

“For that we will need a witch, everyone isn’t really happy with us now.

She is the only witch we ever had” Sean said.

“Then we need to find someone, we cant bring back all the people she has killed but we can try to give them some justice” Alexa said.

“I agree with you, we have been living their lives. We owe them a lot” Harry said.

“I honestly still cant believe that we got all this time because of her plan.

How do you steal other people’s lives and give them to others?” Sean asked.

We had just reached where Amber was being held, she started laughing.

I am guessing she heard what Sean said.

“you are all going to act innocent and all, do you think that I did all the work?” she asked me.

“Especially you, you were just like your father. Obsessed with immortality, don’t you remember Logan?” she asked as she got up.

She looked at me straight in my eyes and then her smile got wider.

“Don’t tell me that you have forgotten, how you told me that it doesn’t matter what I did.

You said I should do anything to give you immortality, have you forgotten that?” she asked me.

“Even if I said so, I couldn’t have believed or even thought in my wildest dream that you would massacre so many people” I said, and she smiled.

“I cant believe you are smiling after what you did” Amy said, and Amber looked at my mother.

“The girl who killed her own mother to protect her vile brothers.

And how many more people have you killed to protect your brothers?

Actually, I have lost count” she said and then chuckled.

“So, it’s okay for you to kill if it is in the pretence of protecting your brothers?

No matter what motives you use to justify it, murder is still murder Amy” she said.

“Fine you are right, none of us here aren’t innocent in this matter at all. We have done terrible things, but now we show a little remorse, but you don’t” Alexa said.

“You can’t kill me, the only person who could do that is Reene with her manifestation power” Amber said with confidence.

“But you wont be able to use any magic here, even if its forever you are trapped here” I said, and she started laughing at this.

“You do know that you only have about a century left, after that you will start to age and then die.

Without me you will die and will never enjoy your immortality” she said, and I smiled.

“The immortality you have given me so far has been nothing but a curse, I really cant wait to die” I said, and she scoffed.

“Why her? I have always been by your side for centuries and you never even looked at me like I am a woman.

So why her?

what made it easy for you to love her but impossible to love me?” she asked me.

“Because you are nothing like her and would never be, now stay here. We started this journey of immortality together and now we will die together” I said.

“What? Shouldn’t you be happy that we will die together?” I asked her and she rolled her eyes.

“Alpha there is someone who wants to see you, her name is Elizabeth Miller.

She is the same woman that came here a few days ago” one of the pack members said.

we walked to the pack mansion and standing there was Reene’s mother waiting for us.

“What can I help you with?” I asked her.

The last time she came here she wanted to kill Reene.

What would bring her here now?
