Chapter 76: my beautiful destroyer
Reene’s pov
“I would like to throw you a welcome party” Marcus said.
“Why? I didn’t say I wanted a welcome party” I said, and he smiled holding my hand.
“You are my daughter, one day I plan to leave all of this to you” he said pointing outside the window.
The city of life, “all of this could be yours, all under your control. The greatest city to ever exist” he said.
His eyes then landed on Elizabeth.
She didn’t seem thrilled about what he was talking about.
“Marcus could you stop it” she said and then her eyes landed on me.
There is always something in her eyes as she looks at me.
I can’t pinpoint what emotion it is and why.
“If I get this city what else will I be getting along with it?” I asked him and he smiled.
“Power, infinite power, do you know why the City of Life has remained hidden for so long?” he asked me, and I shook my head.
“Because it’s being supported by something called the crystal of life,
I acquired this crystal a long time ago.
Only someone with my blood can use it and you are my blood” he said and then smirked as he looked at my mother.
“How powerful is this crystal? Can it be used for any spell?” I asked and he nodded.
“Its powerful enough to destroy nations” he replied, and I looked at him.
I remember how scared Amber was when an immortal witch was mentioned.
Now I understand why, my called father is really power and now he is telling me he has something powerful enough to destroy nations.
“Why are you telling me all of this? As if you want me to destroy nations” I said, and he smiled.
“Marcus could you stop it, you and I agreed. I stay here with you, and you will not encourage her” Elizabeth.
“I love you Elizabeth, but this is a plan that I have had in motion for centuries.
It’s the only reason I even approached you, I cant give up on this dream.
Not even for you my love” he said to her.
Elizabeth looked at me, she then got up and stormed out of the room.
“Your mother is still a little sensitive,
I thought the few years she spent with would have rubbed off on her.
But her humane side is still as strong as ever” he explained his wife’s outburst.
“You love her? How is it even possible?
You are an immortal being, aren’t feelings such as love impossible?” I asked him and he shook his head.
“After a few centuries, the light in your slowly starts getting stronger.
If you meet someone that you are destined to be with love can even grow in your heart” he replied, and I nodded.
“Were you and Elizabeth destined to be together?” I asked him and he nodded.
“Yes, because we were destined to have you.
My beautiful destroyer” he said and then I looked at him.
“The prophecy says that you will be the destroyer of world.
I saw it happen so many times that it feels like a fantasy” he said.
“And how do I do that? How do I destroy the world in your dreams?” I asked him and he smiled as if he is happy I asked.
“You see your magic is different. You have what we call manifestation magic, haven’t your realized that?” he asked me.
I suppose that makes a lot of sense the more I think about it.
When Victoria and the coven leader almost found me using my magic I prayed that I disappear.
I did disappear into some prison;
I didn’t have a key or a spell to that prison, but I made it there.
And when Logan left me for dead I wanted to live more than anything,
which is how we eventually got linked.
His healing helped me live and when I died I didn’t want to take Logan along with me.
I wanted to die alone so that’s what happened, my manifestation magic lead to all that.
“I have realized” I said and then got up.
“but I have on interest in whatever grand plan you have to destroy the world” I said, and he shook his head.
“Its only a plan to destroy the world, but supernatural beings in it. what is saw killed only supernatural being” he said, and I looked at him.
“We are supernatural being” I said, and he smiled.
“living in a magical hidden city, this spell wont be able to reach us” he said.
“After that then we will come forward to the humans, we will control this world with no one to try and stop us. Killing all your enemies in one fell swoop” he said.
“I have no interest in all that, or even in that power you are promising me” I said and then left the room.
I just want to live a quiet life, travel around the world, and do all the things I couldn’t do at all.
“Prepare for the party, it might just change your mind” he said as I was closing the door.
What could be in that party that could change my mind?
I went to my room and just took a book and decided to read.
There was a knock on the door and Lucas came in without even waiting for my response.
“Get ready for the party, I have a surprise for you” he said, and I looked at him.
I could sit here and be bored, or I could go to this party to see what they have planned for me.
It sounds interesting because they both keep telling me to come to this party.
I looked around the closet and found a perfect dress for the occasion.
“I will be there soon, this better be worth it” I said, and he smiled.
“It will be worth it I promise you, I will handle everything” Lucas said and then left.
I got ready, I wore a red dress and did my makeup and got ready.
I went downstairs but the moment the elevator opened I heard a commotion.
“You have the nerve to come here, I will kill you” I heard Logan say.
“Really? After all I did for you, and don’t act all innocent you wanted to kill her too.
Had you not fallen in love with that bitch you would have killed her too the moment she unlinked you two” I heard Amber say.
“What are they even doing here? what is this monster doing here? You should have died with your traitor wife” Victoria said.
“Sister please, we know the truth now. Amber did all that” Viola said.
“We are here to enjoy the party; can we just do that? How long will we keep talking about that bitch? Why couldn’t she just stay dead?” Sasha asked.
“You would be glad if I stayed dead wouldn’t you Sasha?” I asked her.
Everyone turned around and their eyes landed on me, they looked like they have seen a ghost.
I looked at them, my killers are all dressed nicely in front of me.
What did she say?
They are here to enjoy the party?
Even after killing me, they think that they can still enjoy life.
“Reene” Sasha said, and I smiled.
“You look like you just saw a ghost, or maybe its because you killed me” I said.
I noticed a knife on the table, I picked it up.
“shall we see if you can stay dead?” I asked and pulled her towards me.
She was floating in the air coming towards me no matter how hard she tried to stop it.
She stopped in front of me, and I smiled, I gave her the knife.
“Stab yourself in the heart, slowly and make sure it is as painful as possible.
When you do I want you to scream at the top of your lungs” I said.
She started crying, begging her father to come and help her but he was paralyzed.
“He wont be able to help you, your father is useless in this situation” I said, and the father and daughter were both crying.
He watched as his own daughter slowly put the knife in her heart while screaming.
“Is it only me? the sound of your screams sound like music to my ears. Please scream louder” I said, and she did as I said.
She then stopped screaming and fell on the ground.
“well that didn’t last long, who is next?” I asked and my eyes landed on Victoria.
“What about you? You were always such a bitch to me weren’t you? Shall I also put an end to your misery?” I asked her.
She was shaking like a leaf.
“ohhh fear, you have made me fear for my life more times than I can count.
Your hatred made me live in misery, but do you know something.
My hatred is greater than yours” I said.
“Reene please don’t do this” Lewis said.
I looked around, almost everyone in this room deserves to die.
My eyes landed on my father, and I smiled.
“I will do it” I said, and he looked at me with a smile.
“I am guessing that’s a yes right? are you sure?” he asked me.
“I have never been so sure about anything in my entire life. I am 100% sure” I said.
They all should die, why should the people that killed me and made my life miserable live a stress free life?
