Chapter 94 94
CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR
LUCIAN'S P.O.V
"Did he just...kill himself?" Kale gasped.
"Yeah. He just stabbed himself to death like he was being controlled or something." Kieran nodded.
I turned away from the body and began walking away.
"How did he even get the knife? We should head back. At least I know what's happening now."
"Burn all the bodies, not one should remain." Kieran commanded.
"Yes Alpha."
I heard him and Kale behind me a short while later.
"Are you going to tell her?"
"Tell her what?"
"That other packs are searching for her now. They want her."
I shrugged, I wasn't going to make the same mistake of not telling her this time.
"Of course I'm telling her."
"But she will get scared."
I chuckled.
"Trust me, something like this wouldn't put her down. It's best she knows, at least she will know what to expect from now on."
"I see."
I stopped and faced him.
"What about you? Are you going to chase us out now that you know that we are bad news?"
He scoffed, "She's not bad news, you are."
My lips tilted in a smile.
"That's fine by me then."
"What are you doing to do now that you have seen how desperate they are for her?"
"I won't do anything. I'll wait for them to come, then I can get rid of them."
"Why don't you just head over to the packs and give them a warning to not touch her."
I stared at him, an incredulous look on my face.
"What?"
"Are you dumb or what?"
"Watch it, Alpha Lucian." Kale growled out protectively.
I glared at him.
"Zip it, beta. Alphas are talking." I snapped. "You're telling me to go the hundreds if not thousands of packs all just to issue out a warning so that they don't come near Aurora again. And you think I can just do that and they'll bloody hell apologize and reassure me without a war breaking out before I can even finish speaking? That's only going to make things worse."
He slowly shrugged, looking away from me.
"It's worth a try."
I scoffed, flexing my fists.
"Yeah, a try that will lead to nothing and only get me killed. Thanks but no thanks, I will not give you the chance to get rid of me that easily."
He looked at Kale, his eyes shifty.
"That wasn't what I meant."
"Yeah, I didn't think so. "
"Do what you want." He turned his head away.
"I'm waiting for them and I'm going to deal with them the same way I just dealt with this one. Kill them all."
I turned away and kept on walking. We stayed silent until we reached the pack house something felt off.
"Where are all the women?" Kieran asked with a confused expression as his eyes roamed the pack house. The other people were could see where old men and the children, no sign of women.
"Where is Aurora?" That was my problem. I could smell her scent but the direction was too blocked by many other scents. Where could she be?
An older man walked towards us with an apprehensive look on his face, rubbing his hands constantly.
"Alphas."
"What is it? Where are the women?"
"O...out there." He pointed a finger to a door just by the left.
"There? But that's the door to the training ground." Kale voiced out.
Without waiting, I walked hurriedly and opened it.
"The hell?" I gasped.
"Did we miss something?" Kale asked with a confused tone.
"What's happening here?" Kieran muttered.
The three of us stared in disbelief as Aurora stood at the center of what looked like a gathering ground of some sort. A young woman was running towards her, roaring with rage, her claws out, ready to slash her with it. My heart almost stopped and I was ready to rush to protect her. But then Aurora let out a loud snarl, leapt high into the air, landed a kick on the woman's back, the woman faltered and hit the floor. She then ran to her and dragged her up into the air, throwing her a good distance away from her. The woman groaned and then lost consciousness. Aurora grunted as she turned to face the other women that had surrounded her in a semi circle, her face wide with a smirk. Many of the women cheered loudly with huge smiles on their faces while some glared at her, looks of displeasure on their faces but they made no move to confront her. Instead they looked like they wanted to avoid her. Aurora let out a laugh, raising her hands up to the sky, a victorious look on her face.
"And that should teach you guys that I'm not some weak, fucking bitch that you can mess with! Okay!" She whooped loudly. "Yeah!!!"
At that moment, in my eyes, she looked like the war goddess they claimed she was. Sweaty and heaving with exertion, her hair flowing widly down her back, her eyes shinning with excitement. She was beautiful and strong like an amazon protecting her tribe.
Kale whistled, shaking his head from side to side, his eyes not moving away from her.
"Damn. She's one tough bitch...I mean lady, lady is what I meant to say." He cleared his throat.
"Stop staring at her.!"
"Stop staring at her.!
Kieran and I growled the same words together.
"Is that the same Aurora I know but not exactly her...but also might be who I think she is?" He asked, his voice suddenly breathy, I didn't even understand him but I still glared at him.
"She's my Aurora. That's all there is." I started walking towards her. "I just need to figure out what just happened."
"Aurora."
She turned to face me immediately I called her. Her smile spread even wider, she walked to me and hugged me before I even knew it.
"Aurora?" I called her name, confused but happy at the same time.
"You're back. I'm happy."
Her smile was blinding, her full lips spread into a wide grin, showing her beautiful set of teeth. I almost forgot what I wanted to ask.
"I'm glad to be back too. So um..." I looked around, the women were beginning to leave. Some kept glancing back with secret smiles on they're faces, while some were still disgruntled and just kept glaring at her.
"So what did I miss?"
