Chapter 145 145
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-FIVE
AURORA'S P.O.V
As she laughed looking like a mad maniac, we all simultaneously looked at Griffin. He had a resigned look on his face as he watched her, feeling our gaze on him, he looked at us and spread his hands open, looking helpless.
"This is what I have to deal with."
I gave him a pitying look and raised my fist in a gesture of encouragement.
"You can do it. Fighting!" Then I looked away, "She's best friend but this level of craziness has gone max." I shuddered.
"Ahem. So, Aurora, get ready, you will be going shopping with me, and unfortunately Talia is going to have to come along. Her fashion sense is much more advanced than mine." Eleanor told me, wincing as I squeezed her hand tight.
Tali jumped.
"Oh hell yeah! I'm definitely coming. We can't have you looking shabby right?"
She winked at me, I shuddered again, shaking my head rapidly at Eleanor.
"No, please. I fear she might eat me up if she comes. Don't worry, I don't mind looking shabby, I'll manage the dress anyway. Just don't let her take control."
I pleaded desperately but she shook her head, a slight smile on her lips.
"I'm sorry my dear, but I can't help you out of this one. She has to be the boss."
I flopped helplessly on my seat then sneaked a glance at Talia and almost screamed. She was staring at me with the intensity of a predator, a wide grin on her face that looked downright scary. I mean, I'm the Luna, I shouldn't be scared but gosh is she so damn scary.
"Fine, I have no choice." I glared at Lucian. "But don't expect me to keep smiling at people who are going to be jerks, if I'm offended, someone is going down."
He dipped his hands into his pocket, a sly smile on his lips.
"Trust me honey, you are more than allowed to do anything. It's your ball after all, I'll get right behind you, supporting you."
"That's my man." I smiled at him.
He blushed and rubbed his hands eagerly.
"Does that mean..."
"Nope, still no touching." I refused with a smile, he didn't realize that there was no compromise here. I'm the one feeling the pain, so I say no.
He sighed, his shoulders slumped.
"And also to make things easier, we will be inviting our friends to specially come before the party day so that we can brief them on everything thars been happening." He informed us.
Talia and I perked up, she gave me a knowing smile.
"Are you thinking who I'm thinking?" She squealed.
"You bet I am." I squealed back, I looked at Lucian.
"Mirabel and her brothers are coming!"
He nodded, smiling.
"Exactly. We need our allies any way we can. Why waste time trying to solve it ourselves when we can get the help from our friends willingly."
"And I'm sure Mirabel has been dying to see you guys." Griffin smiled, squeezing Talia's hands lovingly.
"I know right, I do miss her." She replied, a soft look in her eyes. I know she saw Mirabel as her rival, but I also know she loved her too.
"And we can get to see Eli's mate, hopefully." I chirped in.
Lucian nodded.
"I'm sure we will. Not only them, but also..." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Kieran and Kale. It's important that they all know what is happening. Together we can capture Auron."
The room suddenly went quiet, I bit my lips worriedly.
"When we finally capture him...what do we do?"
He made his way towards me and leaned to stare into my eyes.
"We try to set him straight and tell him the whole truth. If he still refuses to believe you and back down..." He didn't continue. I took his hand.
"We might have to kill him?"
He stared at me, his blue eyes swirling with emotions. Then he shook his head and flicked my nose softly.
"No, we will detain him until we figure it out. I know you don't want him dead and I hope we don't get to reach that stage. I want you to be happy no matter how this ends."
My hand unconsciously reached out and caressed his stubble filled cheeks, letting my fingers comb through the brittle hairs. Because of these hairs, I was nursing some beard burns on the inner of my thighs.
"Thank you. For thinking of me." I whispered softly to him.
He drew closer until his lips were out a mere inch away from mine
"You are welcome, anytime."
His minty breath blew past my cheeks and the next thing, his lips were on mine and we were kissing. I held him close with his chest, molding our lips together. We pulled away when Eleanor cleared her throat beside us.
She gave us fed up looks.
"I know you both are so in love but I'm here, I'm yourother. Have mercy." Then she shrugged. "At least it meant, I'll get my grandbabies early."
I chuckled, ducking my head shyly.
"Sorry."
He winked sexily at me before moving away. I bit my lower lip, watching him as he left. This night is going to be a long one, I mused as I began to fan my face with my hands. I was already hot and bothered just from a kiss, can I really survive tonight without his hands on my body? No! I shook my head, glaring at his back. This is his plan, to take down my defenses and then be seduced by his hot, sexy, delicious lips with the promise of what more ge offers.
Sweet goddess!
I am so tempted to give in. But no! I made this decision and I'm going to keep to it. I hugged the crossedy legs tight. Ladies, do not betray me now. I tried not to think of the fact that everyone in the room can literally smell my arousal. And judging from the look on Talia's face, she knew I was struggling, Griffin did me the honor of looking away.
"Stop smiling!" I snapped at her.
She coughed slightly then buried her face in Griffin's neck. But I knew she was laughing because of the way her shoulders were shaking.
"Traitor." I muttered.
Lucian cleared his throat again, a serious look on his face.
"Now to the next agenda. What date do we want to hold the Luna Ball?"
