Chapter 144 144
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY- FOUR
AURORA'S P.O.V
"As I was saying, we are here to talk about Auron and what to do about him to get him off our backs."
"Mostly my back." I muttered.
"We have another Desmond who..."
"Can we stop calling him that? I already hate the name, you don't need to make him hate it again." Eleanor grubled, a frown on her face as she pouted.
"Sorry mom, its just...I'll fix." He agreed once she gave him a look.
"Auron wants Aurora's powers and I'm sure he's going to stop at nothing you get it. Which means there is a very high probability that he I'd going to try to take her again. We just don't know when."
"But we know that when he does, we will be ready for him." Griffin added.
"Yes we will." Lucian nodded.
"I hope so, because I do not want to live I fear because I know he is coming for me. The faster we can think of a plan, the quicker we can..." I swallowed. "...get rid of him...though I wished I didn't have to. He's my brother for crying out loud."
"I know Aurora but its clear that he doesn't see it your way."
Talia suddenly gasped, and excited looking on her face.
"Oh, oh, oh,. I have an idea. How about we make him come here then we capture him."
"Thats actually a good idea, but how do we do it?" I rubbed my head.
"And if we capture him, what are we going to do with him?" Eleanor cut in.
Lucian clapped his hands, bringing our attention back to him, a pleased smile on his face.
"I knew this was going to come up, that you Talia for getting there quickly, you read my mind."
She dipped her head with a smile.
"You're welcome."
"I've thought it through, Auron won't rush to take Aurora because he knows that the security around her will be tighter than before, so we have to make it in a way the security around her is loose and everyone's focusing is away from her."
I scratched my neck.
"And how do you suppose we do that?"
His lips parted in a wide grin, his teeth shinning as he spread out his hands.
"We will have a ball." He announced.
For a while, all we did was blink, then we started questioning.
"A ball? Why a ball?" Talia asked him, not quite getting his vision.
"Um, excuse me!" I raised my hand up.
"Yes honey." Lucian answered sweety, I rolled my eyes to hide the sudden fast rate of my heartbeat.
"What's a ball?"
Talia groaned, face palming. She gave me a pleading look, clasping her hands together in a pleading motion.
"Please Aurora, do not embarrass me. A ball is a party."
"Oh." I chuckled sheepishly. "Sorry, didn't know that, but now I do."
She rolled her eyes, I grinned.
Eleanor nodded after her.
"Yes, like she said Aurora, a ball is a party."
I raised my hand again.
"Yes honey."
"Why are we throwing a ball, or party?"
"Yeah, I like parties but are we celebrating anything?" Talia asked.
"The Luna Ball."
As soon as he said that, Eleanor's eyes widened and she clapped her hands in excitement.
"Perfect, oh Lucian, that is genius. And you get to kill two birds with one stone."
"Exactly what I was thinking mom." He grinned at her.
Talia and I exchanged puzzled glances.
"Do you have any idea what they are talking about?" She mouthed to me.
I shook my head and mouthed back.
"No, do you?"
She shook her head, then she gave it a thought and turned to look at Griffin.
"You seem to know what they're talking about. Tell us."
He chuckled and opened his mouth to speak.
"Don't worry Griffin, I will explain." Lucian stopped him.
He nodded and looked up at her.
"He will explain."
"We're listening." I said in a sing song voice. "What's the Luna ball?"
"I'm assuming you guys don't know about it but anytime an alpha takes a mate, his Luna, he has to throw a ball to celebrate that event. Now we don't know the exact name but everyone just calls it the Luna ball. And I know this, because I still remember my pack teachers from when I was a kid."
Talia and I rolled our eyes.
"And we were too dumb to remember." I remarked.
"Exactly..." Then his eyes widened. "...no! That's not what I meant." He rushed to apologize.
I shook my head at him, clicking my tongue while looking disappointed.
"Lucian, Lucian. The couch keeps calling you, I hope you don't answer."
He gulped in response.
"I definitely won't. So, what I'm trying to say is, we hold a Luna ball, and during that ball, we put our men in various spots to identify when someone we didn't invite gets into the premise. We leave Aurora unsupervised and with little to no security. Trust me, he is going to take the bait and will try to take her. That's when we come in, we surround him and capture him."
We all nodded, agreeing that it was a good idea, only there was one problem.
"So this ball, I have to be dressed in those fancy clothes And speak with...people? Like talk with them?"
Talia answered way too quickly.
"Yes you have to, and I am going to make sure you are dressed to the best. You have to outshine every woman in the ball to strengthen your status as a luna and prove to them that you're not some weak minded woman who's riding on the tails of her mate."
I stared at her, my mouth agape, she blinked at me.
"What?"
"I never knew you wanted me to dress this much."
She nodded fiercely, a gleam in her eyes.
"Not only that, you get to show them who's the boss, err, queen. You are beautiful, so damn beautiful and people need to see that. Those two alphas underestimated you by bringing women for Lucian to chose in front of you. I'm still burning from the thought of, so when I say we're going hard, we are going hard baby. Ha! Ha!" She let out an evil cackle, rubbing her hands in anticipation.
