Ria's pov
After taking my bath, I knew that Silas would be waiting downstairs for me. But I didn't want to see anyone. I had skipped dinner and went straight to bed.
The next day, Anna seemed to have returned back to her duty in her usual friendly manner. She snuck up my bed and wrapped her hands around me.
Her scent filled my nose and that made me furious yet I remained calm and even as I turned to face her. I forced a smile on my face.
As much as I badly wanted to confront her, I knew that now was not the time because there was still much that I needed from her.
“Good morning!” She greeted in a humming tone.
“Come on Anna, can't I have a moment of peace”
“Yes you can and I think that you already had enough since then, now it's time for you to meet without people”
“My people?” I was so curious and had to stay upright to listen properly to what she was talking about. She had a wide grin on her face and it was so difficult for anyone not to believe that she was not genuinely happy for me.
“Yes. You are now a true Alpha and because of that you have some many schedules and as your personal….. you know” she chuckled slightly before she continued.
“It's my job to tell you of all your schedule for the day and the first thing on the list today is meeting with the council”
“Wait, the council wants to see me?”
“No, they say you get to join them for meeting during delicate ones with the Alphas” Anna slid away from the bed and while my gaze was still fixed on her, she started walking towards my dresser.
“What exactly are you doing?”
“Isn't that obvious, I am trying to pick up a dress for you. Today is a very important day and I need you to look the part”
Anna spoke with so much certainty in her tone that it was difficult for anyone to believe that she harbors any ill thoughts towards me.
“You keep staring without speaking, if you have a question, now will be the time to ask.
“I don't even know what to ask. I am so surprised and even though I have been in this pack all my life. I am so overwhelmed by the responsibility that awaits me”
“Not to worry. I am certain that you will handle it properly, how about you go take a shower, I am sure you don't want to keep the pack's council waiting”
“Of course!” I shrugged as I stepped out of my bed and walked to the bathroom. I didn't waste much time scrubbing up my body with just a few products and once I was done, I wrapped myself in a towel and stepped out.
Anna helped me oil my body and even though that was a task that I could perform on my own, I wanted her to do it. With such menial tasks, she could always remind herself that no matter how many Alpha's she slept with, she was still an omega slave.
Once she was done, she presented the dress she had selected for me. “What do you think?” Her eyes lit up as she lifted the golden flowery dress with stripes around it, the beading was too sophisticated, more like I was doing too much and trying to announce my presence.
“I don't like it!”
“What! How can you say that Ria, you are now the true Luna and you have to look the part else how can you command respect from the pack members?”
She asked and as much as her tone sounded so convincing, I couldn't help but chuckle.
“Come on Anna, you should know better than anyone. I didn't get here through playing dress up and even if I walk out there in my pajamas, I sure as hell is going to command respect”
“Yes I understand…..” she wasn't speaking but I ignored her and started walking towards my wardrobe where I began to shuffle through the rack.
My eyes caught a blue dress seated pretty at the other side of the wardrobe. Although it was such a simple dress, it had a sheer sleeve which flowed from the arms.
There was also a delicate cutout at the neckline which gave the dress an air of dangerous elegance and as soon as I set my eyes on it, I knew this was what I wanted.
“This!” I spoke while trailing my fingers around the dress.
“Ria, are you sure about it?”
“Yes, this is the outfit I would be wearing today and it would be accompanied by a very simple makeup and hair style”
“Alright!” She nodded but the displeasure in her expression was still there as she picked up the dress and started walking towards the bedroom.
“One more thing Anna!” I called out, making her come to a halt as she turned to me. “You said it yourself that I have earned my spot and now the true Luna, I advised you start addressing me as the Luna Instead of my name”
“Oh! But you were the one that told me to address by your name when we are always together”
“Of course I do recall that! But you know that someone might be listening somewhere and it won't look good on the both of us as it may seem like you are disrespecting me, hope you understand?”
“Of course Ria…. I mean Luna” she lowered her head, this time she could no longer conceal the frown on her face as she walked out of there.
It didn't take long and I was dressed in the elegant gown which hinged tightly around my figure, revealing my curved shape perfectly.
As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I could already imagine how the three brothers would react and just the thought of it already got me wet.
Today was my heat and even though I badly wanted to stay away from the three of them in the main time until I figured out who was behind my father's framing, I knew it was going to be difficult.
But one thing was certain, Anna here has some clues about what happened and if she doesn't, then she knows who does.
Which is why I have been keeping her close to me despite how much I hate her and one thing is certain, she is either going to give me the answers that I need or she would lead me to them.
