CHAPTER 93

CHAPTER 93
Leo's POV

I felt really embarrassed, it was so awkward to ask him that. I had never done this before.

"Yeah, sure. Let’s go," he said, and we walked together

We told Sol, and she nodded. We didn’t go too far, but we weren’t close to the car either. We just walked a little further and did what we had to do.

When I finished, I glanced at Koba. He was standing a little behind me.

This was next-level embarrassment. He was already done, and he was just standing there, watching me. My face turned red, and I quickly looked down.

We walked back, and I was still feeling sharp and tense. I washed my hands with the water bottle. I knew we didn’t have much water, but I couldn’t skip it.

Once we got back into the car, Koba locked the doors and told us to roll the windows back up. He didn’t want them closed either, just in case.

"Koba, it should be fine if we open the window, right? The cold air will come inside, it’s fresh air. It won’t be that bad."

I was speaking from my perspective, not knowing why Koba was closing the window. But when he explained, I agreed with him, and a small trace of fear crept in.

"Leo, if we keep the window open, who knows, any animal could attack us from outside. We can’t be sure. We need to keep the window closed, at least, hmm?"

I agreed and kept the window shut. Then I glanced back and saw Sol still wiping Andrew’s forehead. Andrew was lying down, resting his head on Sol’s lap. She was petting his chest with one hand while wiping his forehead with the other.

"Is his fever going down?" I asked.

“His fever will go down, I’m sure. But right now, he isn’t feeling well. Let him rest,” she answered.

Andrew had already fallen asleep, probably exhausted from the fever. I looked ahead and checked my phone, 10:00 at night, and noticed my battery was running low.

Luckily, there was a charger in the car. We plugged our phones in one by one. Even though there was no network to call anyone, we still needed to keep our phones fully charged.

After a while, we all leaned back against our seats. Sol had already fallen asleep while petting Andrew’s head. Koba was staring outside the window, even though it was closed.

I began staring outside from my side too, and for some reason, I felt like something was watching us. I didn’t know what it was, but the feeling of being observed grew stronger. I couldn’t describe it, so I brushed it off, closed my eyes, and tried to relax.

Even then, I still felt cold. I didn’t know where the air was coming from, but the car felt freezing. I closed my eyes again and eventually drifted off to sleep.

When I opened my eyes later, I realized I had been asleep. The car’s lights were off, making it nearly impossible to see inside. The windows were tinted, so even with the lights on, visibility was limited. Now, with the lights off, it was almost pitch black.

I glanced at my side and saw Koba asleep, his hands folded near his chest, head and back resting against the seat, which was slightly reclined. Sol was also asleep, and Andrew too. I seemed to be the only one awake.

I spotted the water bottle and took a few sips before leaning back again.

After that, I was just sitting there, wide-eyed, because I wasn’t able to fall asleep. Even if I closed my eyes, I still just couldn’t. Then, after fifteen minutes, I needed to use the restroom again.

I glanced at Koba right away, but he was deep in his sleep, and I didn’t want to wake him up at all. I looked back and saw Sol and Andrew were still sleeping too; I couldn’t wake them either. But I couldn’t stop myself anymore, it was urgent now.

I glanced outside the car and realized it was really dark, but since it was an emergency, I grabbed my mobile. It was fully charged now. I unlocked only my door.

I stepped outside while keeping the torch on, and then, slowly, without making any sound, I closed the door from the outside and went toward a tree a little further away.

As I stood there, I felt like something was watching me. I could hear breathing, but I didn’t know where it was coming from. I just finished quickly and came back.

While coming back, it felt like someone was behind me, that’s why I started to run. While running, I quickly opened the car door and got inside.

As soon as I did, I sighed in relief and switched off the torch, putting my mobile back where it was before. While panting, I noticed that everyone was still sleeping.

Then I glanced outside. I knew there was nothing, but in the darkness, it felt like I was having hallucinations… like someone was there. Maybe some kind of wild animal.

But it was fine, I was inside now, and I didn’t need to use the restroom anymore. I was feeling a little better.

While thinking that, my eyes drifted outside again, and my eyes widened.

I saw a tiger coming from the same direction where I had gone earlier to pee and rushed back from.

A tiger.

It was coming slowly, looking toward our car. Seeing that, my heart skipped a beat, and I got so scared. The tiger came closer and then stopped right in front of our car, right on my side.

I don’t know if it could see through the tinted window or not, but it felt like it was staring directly into my eyes.

But everyone was asleep right now, and as long as I didn’t make any noise, I was sure the tiger wouldn’t realize someone was inside the car.

So I covered my mouth with both hands because I didn’t even want to make a breathing sound.

The tiger started walking toward the car, and now it was near the door, the door beside me. I checked if the door was locked or not.

It was unlocked.
