CHAPTER 94

CHAPTER 94
Leo's POV

I quickly locked it and looked outside. The tiger was sniffing, staring at the car.

“What happened?” a voice came from behind me.

I flinched and quickly turned back. Koba was awake. I immediately covered his mouth with my hand.

“Shh… don’t say anything. There’s a tiger outside,” I whispered as softly as I could.

Koba’s expression told me he didn’t hear me properly, or maybe he didn’t understand. I pressed my back against the seat and pointed outside.

As I did, Koba glanced out, and his eyes widened too. There was a tiger standing right there. I nodded at him, silently confirming it.

This wasn’t imagination. There was a real tiger outside.

Koba was quite shocked, but he stayed calm. He glanced around and then moved to wake up Sol. I didn’t understand why he wanted to wake her up, it would’ve been better if they stayed asleep so they wouldn’t make any noise. As soon as he shook her, she woke up right away.

After waking up, her attention went directly to Andrew. She checked his temperature, and after that, she glanced up at us.

“What? Why did you wake me up?” she asked, annoyance clear in her voice. Of course she was annoyed, she had been sleeping and we woke her up. Honestly, I would get angry too if someone woke me up like that.

“There is your friend outside… so go and tell him to leave,” Koba said.

Obviously, Sol didn’t understand. She frowned, looking confused about this “friend” and why her friend would even be here. I just clutched my head.

I gripped my seat, bracing myself, and whispered just loud enough for her to hear, “There’s a real tiger outside the car.”

Sol was visibly shaken by my words. She tried to look outside, but Andrew was sleeping on the side where the tiger was standing, blocking her view.

“So what should we do?” Sol whispered from the back.

I immediately pressed my finger to my lips, signaling her to stay quiet. We couldn’t risk making any noise. With a predator that close, we had to stay completely silent.

Just as everything went quiet, Andrew suddenly started coughing.

Hearing that, all of us were shocked. Sol quickly covered his mouth, but even then, we weren’t letting the poor guy cough properly, and he was already so sick. This situation was beyond anything I had imagined.

“Guys, we need to do something,” Sol said in a low voice from behind.

I glanced at Koba, all my expectations resting on him. If he had a plan, we would follow it.

Koba understood my look and started thinking. Suddenly, he opened the drawer in front of him and found a lighter and a diary inside.

He opened the diary and flipped through the pages, but it was completely empty. The moment I saw the lighter, something clicked in my mind, animals are scared of fire, right? We just needed to scare the tiger away.

I pointed at the lighter. Koba looked at me while holding it, thinking seriously.

Then suddenly, he grabbed a pen from the same drawer and started writing something in the diary.

While he was writing, my eyes widened.

The tiger now had both its front legs on my window and was trying to look inside. It looked so dangerous, its teeth sharp and clearly visible. I had never seen a tiger this close before.

My heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. I tightly shut my eyes.

Suddenly, the whole car shook violently.

My eyes snapped open, and my heart skipped a beat. It felt like I was about to have a heart attack. When I looked outside, I saw the tiger trying to jump onto the roof of the car.

That’s why the car was shaking so much.

It was actually attacking us.

I didn’t know what it was thinking, but the situation was terrifying.

Then Koba showed me the diary. He had written that he was going to set the diary on fire, which would only take a few seconds.

He planned to step outside the car to light it, and he was certain that seeing the fire would scare the tiger away and keep it from coming back.

He also wrote that if we stayed like this, we wouldn’t be able to leave the car at all.

So he had to risk everything.

Honestly, I was shocked after reading that. Why did he need to put his own life in danger? Didn’t he care about himself at all? I signed with my hands, asking if he was an idiot.

Koba shook his head, signaling that he wasn’t, but I still thought he was. Because only an idiot would come up with a plan like that.

I quickly showed the diary to Sol, who was still hugging Andrew. After reading it, she simply gave a thumbs up.

Oh my gosh… did Sol not have a heart? How could she just agree like that? It was so dangerous. What if Koba went outside and the cold air or wind made it impossible to light the fire?

What would we do then?

The tiger would obviously attack him. We couldn’t take a risk like this. But looking at Koba, it was clear he wasn’t going to listen to me. He was ready to go out.

I grabbed his hand to stop him. “Koba, please… please,” I said in a low voice, not wanting him to go.

But he just placed his hand over mine, smiled, and nodded.

And then…

He opened the car door and stepped outside, holding the lighter and the diary.

My eyes immediately went to the tiger. It was still near my door, but the moment it heard the sound, its attention shifted toward Koba.

The tiger jumped onto the roof of the car.

My heart skipped a beat.

I knew I had to do something. I tried to open the door, but it was locked.

Koba had taken the keys.
