✨Chapter 21✨

Jerry couldn't comprehend what Roy said, and it took a while for him to understand what he heard.

"What Roy is trying to say is that he's the father of Julia's triplets? No, that's not true," Jerry said to himself.

"Roy doesn't want me to be happy, so he made up an absurd story just to come in between Julia and me," Jerry said.

Even though he tried to assure himself, he was feeling restless about Roy's words, so he took his car keys and decided to ask Julia herself.

Julia returned to the sitting room after freshening up and turned on the TV.

"You are going to watch TV?" Andrea exclaimed.

"I can't sleep yet, and you said it's not late too, so I'll just watch TV until I fall asleep," Julia said.

"Wow! He must be troubling your mind because you love him so much," Andrea said.

"I told you I don't love Dylan anymore," Julia snapped.

"I didn't mention his name, and I wasn't even talking about him," Andrea said.

"Whatever! I'm leaving," Julia said and stood up when she heard the doorbell.

"I guess your sweetheart is here," Andrea teased.

Julia went to the door and opened it angrily.

"I clearly told you to stay away......" she paused her sentence when she saw it was Jerry.

"Can I come in?" Jerry asked.

"I....I didn't know it was you, I'm sorry" Julia said and made way for him to go in.

"I guess you are disappointed to see me," Jerry said as he walked in.

"It's really not like that," Julia said and glared at Andrea.

Andrea raised her hand in surrender and left the sitting room to give them space.

"Why are you here so late at night? It's the first time," Julia said.

"I know, and I wanted to wait till tomorrow morning, but I don't think I can," Jerry said.

"Why? What's wrong?" Julia asked and handed him a glass of juice.

"I want to ask you something, and I want you to be very honest with me," Jerry said.

"You sound so serious. What is it?" Julia asked.

"Who is the father of your triplets?" Jerry asked.

Julia was startled because she totally wasn't expecting that question.

"Why are you suddenly asking me that out of the blue?" Julia asked.

"I'm asking because I want to know. You know I have the intention of getting married to you, so I don't think this question is too much," Jerry said.

"I know, and I'll answer you," Julia said and took in a deep breath.

"I was raped. A guy raped me when I was drunk, and that was how I became pregnant," Julia said.

"You were raped?" Jerry asked in surprise.

A part of him was happy that Roy wasn't the father, but another part of him was furious, and he felt like murdering whoever had the guts to rape her.

"Yes. I didn't even know who it was but after I was pregnant, the guy came and asked me to marry me. It's absurd, right?" Julia smiled sadly.

"I'm so sorry about that. If I knew it was such a painful memory, I wouldn't have asked," Jerry apologized.

"It's okay. I'm the one to be blamed for not having forgotten about it after all these years," Julia said.

"Since I've already asked, can I ask you one more thing relating to it?" Jerry asked.

"Sure, go ahead," Julia said.

"What's his name?" Jerry asked.

"His name? I didn't ask because I have no reason to know the name of a bastard like him," Julia said.

"But you can recognize him if you see him right?" Jerry asked.

He wanted to confirm that it wasn't Roy so that he won't have any fear in the relationship.

"Of course, I can at least recognize him," Julia said.

Jerry scrolled through his gallery and finally saw a picture of Roy, which he showed to her.

"This isn't the guy right?" Jerry smiled.

"H..he where did you get his picture?" Julia asked.

The smile on Jerry's face disappeared when he noticed the look in Julia's eyes.

"Is he the one?" Jerry asked.

"Yes, he's the one. How did you get his picture?" Julia asked.

"Look at him closely. You might be wrong, so just take one last look at him," Jerry said.

"I'm not wrong, and I'm one hundred percent sure he's the one," Julia said.

"What's wrong?" Julia asked when he suddenly went quiet.

"It's nothing. I just wanted to know who the father is. Now that I've gotten the answer to my question, I will leave," Jerry said and stood up.

"Huh? Just like that? You didn't come here to see me?" Julia asked, but Jerry couldn't answer.

He opened the door and walked out, leaving Julia dumbfounded.

"He's gone so soon?" Andrea asked walking out.

She heard the sound of the door so she figured out he left already.

"Jerry was acting strange," Julia said.

"Really? How? Is he going to break up with you because of Dylan?" Andrea asked.

"No, it has nothing to do with Dylan this time. He just suddenly asked me about the father of my kids," Julia asked.

"Why did he suddenly ask? It's normal, though, but did he come all the way from his house just to ask you that?" Andrea asked.

"You find it strange too right?" Julia said.

"Kind of, but let's say he just asked. He can't possibly break up with you because someone raped you, and if he does, you will find someone else," Andrea said.

"I wasn't even interested from the start. You kept pushing me until I said yes" Julia rolled her eyes.

"When did I push you? If you really weren't interested, you wouldn't have dated him no matter what I did. Anyway, let's not conclude on anything now. We should wait for him to tell us what is going on," Andrea said.

"Yeah" Julia mumbled.

Jerry didn't go straight home after he left Julia's house. He went to a club to drink his sorrows away.

He already thought Julia was perfect for him even though she's a mother already. What mattered to him was his feelings for her, so he never really cared about that.

Now that his younger brother has turned out to be the father of her children, it feels like his world crumbled. Worst of all is that his brother raped her.

Even if he wasn't the father of her children, the fact that he raped her was enough reason for him not to be with her because the guilt will be in him and he won't be able to forgive himself for what his brother did.

As he continued to drink, someone suddenly sat next to him. He turned around and saw that it was Roy.

"Have you confirmed already that I'm the father of her triplets? You only come to clubs to drink like this whenever you are frustrated," Roy teased.

"I really am in a bad mood right now, so I will appreciate it if you can give me space before I lose it," I said sternly.

"I guess you aren't drunk enough yet. I will leave you today, but don't forget that you have to break up with her within a week." Roy said and stood up to leave.

"Don't you dare show your face to her from this moment onward. I didn't know you were such a bastard, and I really regret and hate the fact that we are related," Jerry said.

"You are finally saying how you truly feel after all these years. Anyway, I can't stay away from her because I love her and I know it's only a matter of time before she loves me too" Roy smiled.

"You bastard! You think you will rape someone you love?" Jerry scoffed.

"No, I didn't rape her back then. Someone paid me to do it, but I refused the money. I only intended to do it for the fun of it, but I suddenly fell in love with her after the sex. Heavens must be on my side, considering how she gave birth to triplets with just one night of being with me," Roy giggled.

"Leave Roy. You are getting on my nerves, and I don't know what I might do to you," Jerry said.

"I will leave, but I'm not leaving because I'm scared of you. I just don't want you to embarrass yourself here," Roy said and left.
