✨Chapter 20✨

"Julia?" Dylan exclaimed in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"You got me worried and you're asking me what I'm doing here?" Julia flared up.

"You were worried about me?" Dylan asked.

"Worried about you? Why will I be? I was just worried that you ran away so that I won't ask you to pay for staying here," Julia said.

"I didn't run away. I suddenly remembered my black card, so I went to collect it, and I met some people too, and we talked about how I will build my company from scratch again," Dylan said.

"Shouldn't you just buy your company back from the people who bought it?" Julia asked.

"I tried to, but they weren't interested in selling it. You know, selling it won't give them much profit compared to if they manage the company themselves," Dylan explained.

"Alright. I knew it made no sense for you to go completely broke. Anyway, does that mean you are leaving?" Julia asked.

"No, I will have to trouble you for a little while until I start the company again. I will be sleeping in the office after that until I have enough money to buy a house," Dylan said.

Julia's lips curved into a smile, but she tried her best to hide it. She was hoping Dylan would stay in her house for a while, and she was really happy to hear him say that.

"It's fine. I just hope you won't run away. You still need to pay me to stay in my house," Julia said.

"I won't run away. Once I build my company, I will start paying you back until I finish paying," Dylan said.

"Whatever!" Julia mumbled.

There was utter silence between them, and Julia knew she was supposed to leave, but she was hoping Dylan would talk about them.

"Do you still have something to say?" Dylan asked after a while.

"Have you eaten?" Julia asked.

"I don't want it to seem like I'm treating you unfairly when you are staying in my house," she quickly added.

"Are you sure that's just it? I think you still care about me," Dylan said and covered the space between them.

Julia stared at his eyes and swallowed hard. She got lost in them but got a hold of herself after a few minutes.

"What are you talking about? It's your choice to eat and it's your choice to not eat. I'm leaving," Julia said and left.

She walked really fast and shut the door behind her as soon as she got to the sitting room while heaving a sigh of relief.

"Why are you acting like someone is chasing you?" Andrea asked.

She was in the sitting room before Julia came in and was pouring water from a jug.

"Huh? You are still up?" Julia asked.

"Of course! It's not that late yet," Andrea said.

"Yeah, I guess so. I will be in my room," Julia said and turned around.

"How was your date? Are you planning to go to bed without telling me anything about your first date with Jerry?" Andrea scoffed.

"I'm a bit tired now, so I will tell you tomorrow. Just remind me," Julia said and ran upstairs.

*A week later*

For over a week, things were going smoothly. Jerry always called Julia at least twice a day, and their relationship was getting better.

Julia was trying her best not to come in contact with Dylan after that night, and Dylan had also been busy with his new company.

Julia returned from work that evening and was about to go inside as usual when she saw Dylan at the main door.

"What are you doing here?" she asked me.

"You already know I'm here to see you, so why are you still asking?" Dylan asked.

"Why do you want to see me?" Julia folded her arms.

"I want to talk about us," Dylan said.

"There's nothing to say about us. I'm sure you've noticed, but I already have a boyfriend," Julia said and tried to leave.

"Peterson told me that you are the mother of those triplets. Is it true?" Dylan asked.

"Yes. So you don't even know that I gave birth?" Julia scoffed.

"I saw it on the news that you were going to celebrate their birthday but since they said the father is unknown, I thought you adopted them. Looking closely at them for a few days, I realized they looked like you, so I asked Peterson," Dylan said.

"What did he tell you?" Julia asked.

"He said you gave birth to them yourself in Paris," Dylan said.

"He didn't tell you who the father is?" Julia asked.

"No, he didn't. No matter how many times I asked him, he refused to answer," Dylan said.

"Okay. Now that you know I have children, I hope you will leave me alone and find someone else," Julia said.

"I won't leave you alone just because you have children, and who knows if the children belong to me?" Dylan said.

"They are not your children. Just find someone else," Julia concluded and went inside.

"If they aren't my children, whose children are they? From what I've found out, Jerry and Julia just started going out recently," Dylan mumbled to himself.

He made up his mind then that he was going to carry out a DNA test and see if the children belonged to him.

"I heard your conversation with Dylan," Andrea said when Julia got in.

"I really don't know what to do. Will he hate me when he finds out I was raped?" Julia asked.

"I doubt it. He will blame himself instead," Andrea said.

"But why do you care about him hating you or not? You said you've moved on and that you don't love him anymore. You are even dating Jerry, so why do you care about what Dylan thinks?" Andrea asked while glaring suspiciously at Julia.

"What? Do you think I still love him? I don't love him anymore. I just don't want him to find out I was raped," Julia said.

"Yes, yes! I understand," Andrea teased.

*Jerry's mansion*

Jerry was staring at the pictures he had taken with Julia and was smiling nonstop at how beautiful Julia looked. He wondered if she was really human.

The door suddenly burst open, and Roy Albert walked in angrily.

"What are you doing with her?" Roy asked Jerry angrily

"Is that how to greet your older brother after months of not seeing each other?" Albert asked.

"If you are really my brother like you claim to be, why would you go after my woman?" Roy asked.

"Your woman?" Albert laughed.

When he saw the serious look on Roy's face, he stopped laughing.

"Wait! Are you serious about me going after your woman?" Jerry asked.

"Why? You think I'm joking?" Roy asked.

He never liked Jerry ever since they were kids. They had the same father but different mother, making them stepbrothers. Jerry should be the one hating Roy, but Roy always acts childishly, and Jerry decides to let him be.

"Have you completely gone insane? Why would you accuse me of something like that? There are so many women in this world, and you think I will chase after your woman? Just so you know, I have a girlfriend, and she's way better than whoever you are dating," Jerry spat.

"Okay. So who is this your girlfriend that is way better?" Roy asked.

"Julia Louis. I'm sure you must have heard of her since she was once married to someone very popular," Jerry said.

"Really? Julia is your so-called girlfriend? She's the woman I'm talking about, you bastard!" Roy screamed.

"Julia is the woman you are seeing? Have you gone mad? I can take every other stupid thing you do, but once it comes to Julia, I don't care about anything at all. Just get lost while I'm asking nicely," Jerry said, trying so hard to be calm.

"You think I'm joking? Have you asked her who the father of her triplets is?" Roy asked.

"The father of her triplets? I didn't ask her, but I know she was once married, and what matters is my feelings for her," Jerry asked.

"Okay. You should ask her who the father of her triplets is, but just in case your fragile heart can't handle it, I will tell you beforehand. I am the father of her triplets, and I'm only going to give you a week to end whatever you have with her," Roy concluded and left.
