CHAPTER 27

Kalmon "Dude? I saw her leave your office today, and she didn't look good" Casper informed me when I got home.

He couldn't even say "hi cuz"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Dude!" He yelled "What do want me to tell you?" I yelled back at him "I don't know, maybe what you did to her today" he retorted, clearly frustrated.

Well, welcome to my life!

"I don't have time for this trash right now" I told him and walked to my room.

Unconsciously, my mind wandered to our encounter this afternoon.

I was so shocked to see her, that I froze for a few seconds and the only thing that could come out of my mouth was "what are you doing here?"

The way her face fell told me I had said the wrong words.

I wanted to say something else but, my mind went back to when and how she turned me down.

I know it was foolish, putting my ego before her but, when I realized my mistake, she was out of the door.

I took out my phone and noticed that truly, I had called her and asked her to get me lunch.

I didn't even know I did that!

Why did she come? Why was she smiling? Why did her smile drop when I asked her what she was doing there?

I sat on my bed with my face in my hands.

Thinking about how differently I could've done things.

My phone rang, Eze was calling.

Eze was the guy I told to watch over my brother to make sure he wasn't doing any funny business.

"Good evening boss" he greeted "I believe you have something important to tell me?" I asked rather rudely.

"He left town" he told me.

"What do you mean he left town?" I asked rubbing my face with my free hand.

"He left town today, I don't know where he is yet but, before today runs out, I'll have his location" he told me.

"You better!" I yelled and hung up.

I don't even know why I'm like this.

Dear brother, what are you up to?

"Dude, I'm heading over to November's" Casper told me an hour later.

Those words hurt me, just the mention of her name already had me feeling things I wasn't ready for.

Her fallen face graced my mind again.

"Why are you overly dressed?" I asked, noticing his maroon tux.

"It's a dinner party of some sort, apparently, one of the girls, Nifise, is introducing her boyfriend to the girls and November invited me. You should come yunno" Casper ranted

"No thanks, I was not invited and I'm sure she won't want to see me" I sighed, feeling defeated.

"You don't know that" Casper said, shaking his head.

"I know, besides Eze called me, he said Kaez is out of town" I told him, and his face turned serious.

"But it's nothing you should disturb yourself about. Just do me a favor and make her smile" I told him.

He looked at me for some seconds then he smiled and left.

Whatever it is you're planning brother, I'll find out.

Now, I just have to find a way to make it up to her.

I smiled just at the thought of her, my smile died when I saw how sad she looked earlier.

I just felt the need to protect her and make her smile.

Fuck! I'm whipped! Big time.

Now, I regret not going with Casper.

Get that thought out of your head!

Just then, the thought of her body under mine crossed my mind and I had this really foolish idea.

I should've done this earlier but, I didn't have the balls to. I had the best sex with you. I look forward to more nights like that.
