Chapter Fifty Seven
Chapter Fifty Seven
Lindani untied the towel from his waist letting it fall to the floor. Xolo's eyes didn't look elsewhere. They looked down right where Lindani spoiled everything by having boxers on. Xolo could have screamed. "Tease" he mumbled without his knowledge. Making Lindani to only smirk. "So how's Friday?" He asked Xolo yet again.
Xolo placed the phone on his other hand. Looking at the picture on the screen. Friday. "She's fine by her voice. She's hundred percent fine. I miss her. I miss her so much right now."
Lindani sat next to Xolo. Pulling him close. By wrapping his arm around Xolo's shoulders placing Xolo's head on his chest. Now he had to say the difficult part. Something he didn't want to do. But was forced to because he wanted Xolo's happiness. It would be very selfish of him to deny Xolo just that. With a deep sigh he started to talk. "I know someone else you miss. I'm sure she misses you too. We could go today. Talk to her. I'm sure she's not angry anymore." Xolo lifted his head looking at Lindani's eyes. He shook his head. "No." He said disagreeing with what Lindani had said. "She won't want to see me." He had glass tears now. Tears that came out at just the thought of his beloved mother hating him. It was too much. He couldn't live with that.
He couldn't.
Lindani continued to brush his back. Kissing his temple. Soothing his nerves. Calming him down. "Don't you want to see her?" Lindani asked in a gentle voice. Xolo shook his head. He didn't want to see her. The last image of rage from his mother was enough to feed him a lifetime. He couldn't go through that again. He was very good where he was.
Lindani kissed his temple again. "Okay then we'll go get your clothes hm?" That would mean Xolo would be permanently moving in. Nothing made Lindani's heart fly up in the clouds than this.
Xolo wrapped his own arms around Lindani's bare upper half. It felt so nice to feel Lindani's skin like this. He wished he was brave enough to do something more than just this.
"So what do you say? We'll go take your clothes, books and everything else that you need." Lindani looked at Xolo ever so precisely. Xolo swallowed a lump that was up his throat before licking his lips and then he looked into Lindani's eyes. Nodding. "As long as you'll be with me the whole time." Lindani didn't skip a beat answering almost immediately. "I'll always be here for you. Always."
They stayed like that. Holding each other close. Wrapping each other's arms around each other. This felt so good. So perfect to the both of them.
Lindani's desire got the best of him. He acted without thinking. Reached out to kiss Xolo's lips. He thought he'd be pushed away. That Xolo would march to the door and he would never come back. But nothing of the sort happened. As soon as their lips touched nothing stopped the both of them from exploring each other's mouths. Their tongues dancing the tango inside each other's mouths. This was the very first time both boys had ever kissed anyone. They were inexperienced but this felt so right to the both of them.
When they both came up for air their eyes did an intense staring competition. Lindani slowly pushed Xolo down on the bed. Getting on top of him. He started kissing Xolo's neck and then he went lower deciding on opening only just a button on the shirt Xolo was wearing.
Xolo didn't like to be teased and that's exactly what he felt Lindani was doing. So he changed their positions. Now he was the one on top. At first he let his eyes take a few minutes to feast on the sculpture that must have taken so much time creating. Unlike him Lindani was breathtaking. He made all the girls at school go crazy. And Xolo was no different. He was also crazy about him. "You're so handsome" whispered on Lindani's ear. Kissing it a minute after. He started to unbutton his shirt. He wanted to feel Lindani's skin against his. He wanted to...he didn't know what he wanted or what he was doing. All he knew was that it felt hundred percent right.
He was on his last button when both him and Lindani heard the footsteps. Footsteps that were coming to the room. He quickly got up from Lindani. While Lindani sat up. They both looked at the door with hate. Whoever this was had just ruined something so special for them.
When the door didn't open. Lindani got even more irritated. Going to open it himself. He didn't come back though. He just stood there his head sticking outside the door looking at something in shock.
Xolo followed him. "What's wrong?" He asked also taking a look. He gasped not believing what his eyes were showing him.
Maseko had just finished a service. People were starting to pack out of the church. He too was just waiting for the whole lot of them to leave before he left as well. Just as the last person got out of the threshold another got in. This particular person making Maseko's heart skip a beat. "Zwe" he uttered breathlessly.
Zwelinye walked to him. His eyes fueled with determination. He lunged a kiss on Maseko's lips. Raising Maseko's up and then putting him on one of the large book shelves. Opening his legs but before he could do anything else Maseko resisted the urge to allow his body's need for Zwelinye's overshadow his judgement. This was a church. They couldn't do this here. "Zwe let's go to my house instead. I'm sure that the kids have gone to school and my-" before he could talk about his wife Zwelinye had long silenced him with yet another mind blowing kiss.
They connected their foreheads once they broke the kiss. "Let's go" Maseko said not able to handle the desire and need anymore.
When they got to the house just as Maseko had said it looked empty. So just as immediately they'd come they couldn't keep their hands to themselves. Either undressing each other or touching each other's skin. With great difficulty they finally made it to the stairs. They paused in the hallway for a bit. Still just kissing each other. Their kisses becoming more deeper than their last ones.
And that was then the door was opened. Following the gasp that made them to part. Both their eyes went to their children who were standing just a little further from them. Shock and disbelief was written in both Lindani and Xolo's faces.
"Son" the word came slipping out from both Zwelinye's and Maseko's mouth.
Lindani shut the door of his room. Locking it. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe he had just seen what he saw. Xolo looked the same as him.
In the room they both kept their distance from each other. Lindani going into his wardrobe to find something to wear while Xolo fully buttoned up the shirt he had on. He left his dreadlocks loose. No words came out from both him and Lindani.
And no words were said by their parents outside.
Maseko held a hand on his head. He knew this would happen one day but today was not the day he thought this would happen.
Zwelinye's face told no shock or worry about what their children had just seen. "It was bound to happen. It makes things easier." Maseko gave Zwelinye a stare. "Easier?! Zwe did you see that? Did you see how they banged the door? I heard them lock it. They're gonna hate us."
Zwelinye chuckled. "Hate? Can they really hate the ones who brought them into this world? Just because they saw us kissing? What if they saw us doing something else?" He was struck by Maseko's hand on the shoulder after he finished saying that. "What are the things coming out of your mouth?! Zwe I swear I won't forgive myself or you if our children hate us for this." He walked away after saying those words. Leaving Zwelinye rolling his eyes.
He did not understand what the whole fuss was about. He loved Maseko and Maseko loved him. Their children finding out about this now was a big blessing. It meant they wouldn't need to explain too many things. Life was sorting itself out.
Xolo couldn't move not to even talk of being able to speak. His eyes only moved side to side watching Lindani who kept on pacing the room. Mumbling a whole lot of curses and cusses. Something that was so much unusual for Lindani.
"You're making me dizzy please just stop moving around already." Xolo said when he finally gained his voice back. "I saw the same thing yet you don't see me racing around the room. So please just sit down or stand in one place please." Lindani stood at the middle of the room. His eyes closed. "I saw what you saw right?! Did you also see your father swallowing mine whole?!" He shouted making Xolo angry.
"They were both kissing! How dare you make it as if it was my own father who forced yours into it! Genuinely I think you're overreacting. I mean we were just doing the same thing before we saw them."
Lindani's eyes went wide. "What?! Xolo don't you know what just happened there? We just saw our fathers kissing! They were cheating on our mothers. What we did was a hundred percent different." He went to sit on the bed his eyes on Xolo's. "Tell me you agree with me on this." They stayed in an intense eye stare with each other.
"Agree to what?" Xolo asked breaking their eye lock. "We don't know what our fathers' explanations are. We don't know if they truly were cheating. Maybe-" he was cut off by Lindani.
Lindani shook his head. " Those people did not look like they were starting this. Kudala isenzeka lento and you know something about it. Ewe okanye hayi?" Xolo was the one to get up from bed and pace around the room. "Ewe okanye Hayi Xolo?!"
"YES!" Xolo screamed. His hands going to his face. "Yes! I knew about it! Yes!"
Lindani nodded. "Oh? Is that why you're defending their actions? Xolo why aren't you doing anything? You left them be just like that. How long have you known?"
Xolo scratched at his head. "Seven years ago on our tenth birthday party we-I had caused yet another ruckus blaming you for something I don't remember anymore. I ran into the house and I sorta well interrupted something in the living room. Both our fathers were cuddling on the sofa. At the time I didn't know what to make of it . And I never saw them do anything of the sort even get in each other's presence. Well until today. I don't know what's happening or going on Lindani but I think we should let them explain this to us. Who are we to judge? You and I don't know what this is." He gestured to the two of them. "We don't understand it. Meaning maybe they're just as confused as us."
Lindani laughed. "Xolo I don't want insult your intelligence. But what you're saying right now is STUPID! They know what they're doing. And it's wrong!" He got slapped by Xolo.
"You're the stupid one! Why can't you just listen to me?! You know why I argue all the time with you?! It's because Lindani you always think you're so much better than me! We're both the same age. We were both born the same day. We are both equal in intelligence! I'm not stupid!" Xolo heaved his anger showing by his flaming nose. Lindani held his hand on his cheek. The cheek that was still hot from Xolo's slap. "I think we need some air." He suggested seeing that there was no speaking they would do now. There would only be fighting. Fighting he did not want. This was actually their very first argument.
Xolo threw back his dreadlocks. His face making Lindani want to plead for forgiveness immediately. But he would not. He was not wrong in this. And neither was Xolo. Their fathers were.
"I think I need to be as far away from you as possible." Xolo said in other words just agreeing with what Lindani had said.
After Lindani unlocked the door they both refused to look at each other. Walking in different directions. Xolo wanted to cry right now but he would not give Linda the satisfaction. He would rather be angry instead.
