The daydream that Savannah had not realized for a long time, surprised her when she suddenly felt something touched his shoulder. After doing a few times the second his eyes, Savannah's gaze was fixed on the figure of Duke who was already sat down on the couch right beside her. With Savannah clearly visible on his face with her being so tired.
"You don't need to make coffee for me all the time. Once in a while you can enjoy coffee without having to make it yourself first," said Duke while gave her a cup of coffee he had just bought earlier.
"Thanks," Savannah replied, taking the coffee he was given to her.
"Today you can not work."
"For what? Right now I'm already in the office. What did I come to here if it doesn't work?"
"I'm just giving you time to be able to rest. It can be seen from your face, right now you're so tired, Savannah."
"It's because I drank too much last night. So, it's finally here I'm getting tired. But actually I'm fine."
"I told you at the club last night that it's giving vent to alcohol would be a bad thing, wouldn't it?"
"Yes. I know that's bad. But you would agree that such a thing does feels good, doesn't it?"
"Yes, you're right."
There was silence for a few moments, before Savannah turned on finally said the thing that was his purpose early in the morning like this already was in the man's room, instead of choosing to go straight to work.
“Duke, regarding the matter of marriage…”
"You don't need to think about it. I've already handed everything over to some of the wedding organizer that I have rented and them will take care of everything. So you don't have to think about anything will only make you feel tired with all the preparations. But, if you have some wish in marriage later. Do not be shy to say it to me. Whatever it is you want, I will give it to you, Savannah."
"Thank you for wanting to do all of those things, Duke. However i mean. Can we move the date back?"
"Why? Is next month too short time for you?"
"Yeah. And, I still don't feel ready either. I'm afraid if I'm too force it, things just won't go well. This unwanted wedding, even though it feels heavy but must be carried out with good."
"Undesirable?"
"I'm sorry. But you know I don't love you, right?"
"Right now maybe you don't love me. But, I'm sure. Along time goes by, I can make you love me. And, how do I can make you love me if you just don't allow it to tie you up?"
"All of this happened so fast, Duke. I wasn't ready to do this which makes me feel uncomfortable in this relatively short amount of time.”
"Then, if you want to postpone it. Until when do you want to postpone it?"
"I don't know, I don't know either. Maybe, until I feel it ready for everything."
"You want me to talk to Dad, who already told you his colleagues over the son's marriage to be done in time this close so you can just postpone it? You want me to do that?"
"Telling stories? Such a thing has spread to many people?"
"Yeah. That's how Dad looks when he's feeling so good about something what happened to him. Without hesitation he immediately spread the news that made him happy to his comrades. And..., are you sure to disappoint Dad's feelings and end up with him who going to do more than your senses?"
Hearing the words spoken by Duke, Savannah rubbed her hands face roughly using his one bare hand that wasn't holding his coffee.
"Savannah, maybe you feel and think that you are the one most disadvantaged in all respects. However, try to think from the other side other. Side for your own good. Besides you will get guaranteed happiness in the future, you also will not lose the career you've always dreamed of. You want to continue to make your dreams come true, right?"
"Yes. I always wanted to be able to realize my career. But why can't I live it along with the matter of romance? Maybe my life would be very happy if it could do it at the same time as both."
"Hey, I can make that happen for you, Savannah. I can give things it to you."
"But, can we postpone it? At least, until next year. Is it possible?"
"You really want it?"
"If it can."
"Fine. I'll try to talk it over with Dad."
"Really, Duke? Really?"
"Of course. I said earlier that I would all the things you want, right? And with you asking for things If that's the case, then I'll do my best for you."
"Thank you if you do want to do that for me, Duke."
"Yes, of course." The man replied with a smile on his face.
"Hey, do you want creamer? Looks like this coffee I bought no creamer?"
Hearing Duke's words, Savannah looked at the cup she held his hand to see the coffee mix ordered, which she usually does written there. And that made Savannah straight into a bit smiled, apparently the coffee was not mixed with creamer as the man wanted.
"You just ordered it without adding creamer. How can this coffee creamer, if you don't ask for more creamer in it?"
"Is that true?"
"It's not written on this cup, Duke."
"That means I'm really not good at ordering a coffee."
“That's right,” Savannah replied with a chuckle.
"I have creamer in my office. Would you like some more?"
"Yes, of course. Let's go to your office now."
After that, the two of them immediately got up from their seats and walked away to Savannah's office which was right next door. Through the door continued who was there, both of them stepped towards the bar table to took the creamer that the man needed.
"Where's my new assistant?" Duke asked while looking around the Savannah's office which is empty and deserted because there is no one else there but the two people.
"She was excused since yesterday because she was a little sick," replied the woman while put creamer powder into Duke's coffee cup.
"A little sick? What kind of disease is there a little bit sick?"
"Maybe it's just a fever, or the flu, or something else that counts as mild illness."
"Like that?"
"Yes."
"I came to have thoughts of firing her."
"Hey, Irina just needs rest for a few days. And once she does did not come to work, it was because she was sick. So, never overdoing things just because Irina has a bit of a fault just to you."
"I want to fire her not because of that, Savannah. But, because I don't think I really need it. I need only one assistant, who also completes my life."
"Is that true?" Said Savannah with a little smile on her lips while gave the coffee she had given the creamer to Duke.
"I'm trying to seduce," replied Duke with a chuckle.
"But you are completely talentless."
"You are right."
The two of them gave each other a small laugh, until Savannah's gaze accidentally aimed at the front of the entrance whose position is at behind by Duke. Where is the figure of Dylan who looks willing entered his room. Don't want to have that business for her everything was resolved last night, Savannah also wanted to give the view that she really wanted to end the relationship along with Dylan.
By pushing Duke's body to make the man was leaning on the bar counter behind him, and in a moment of taste the shock Duke felt was not over. Suddenly Savannah kissed the man's lips intensely, until the situation between the two can give a misunderstanding to someone who just opened the door of the room and saw the thing that being carried out by Duke as well as that Savannah. Until a little cough Dylan made at the door, made Savannah started to pull away and ended the kiss.
"Are you guys busy? I have something I want to talk to Savannah," said Dylan, who took the initiative to convey his purpose of coming to Savannah's first.
"I'll give it time by leaving you two alone."
After saying this, Duke immediately stepped leaving Savannah and also Dylan to his room to be able giving the two people looks like they want to talk privacy matters.
"Isn't it last night was obvious? I think you've started to accept everything," Savannah said as she walked over to the chair his desk and chose to sit there.
"I just came to let you know that... your goods are still in my apartment, i packed it and you just stay just take it. And coincidentally, I also brought it and now It's in my car." Said the man as he walked over to the desk where Savannah's are.
"Thank you for taking the time to pack my goods. Maybe when you get home you can put it in reception desk so that later I will pick it up there myself. Thank you again for bothering you."
"No problem. And, after I get home later I'll leave it in receptionist."
"Okay."
"Hmm... Savee, there is one more thing I want to talk to you about."
"Okay. About what?"
"You and him."
"It feels very unethical to talk about personal matters in the office and during business hours like this."
"Are you being threatened?"
"What?"
"Yes. Are you being threatened, so you make a choice who is so not you? The decision is very far from desire deep down, just because you're being pressured and cornered by some party that feels more powerful and bigger than you."
"What are you talking about, Dy? I really don't understand."
"Do you really feel like you don't understand? Or is it just you try not to understand?"
"I think our talk last night is over. And I think you are also received everything. What's more, what you still don't feel like so clear that it makes you feel that there is nothing between us finished, Dy?"
"Give me a real reason, Savannah."
"What reason? I've told you everything."
"The reason why you left me!" Dylan exclaimed creating an atmosphere between the two instantly became silent after the man revealed his anger.
"We're hard to finish, Dylan. And things that are done and over aren't can start again."
"You didn't give a real reason and because of that until now I still feel that between us is done."
"You really want to know the real reason?"
"Yes. But if the reason you said was that you loved him, to me that is not the real reason. It is nothing more than bullshit, Savannah!"
"You can't make my dream come true, Dylan."
"What?"
"Yes. You told me once. If I have a dream, then I'm the one who has to make it happen myself. And now, I have knowing that you really can't make all your dreams come true that I had, so I decided to make it happen myself. I knowing that I myself could not make it happen, so I asked help to someone willing to help me in make it happen. And, Duke is the person I've been looking for. He is someone who is willing to do that for me. And that's it my real reason, Dy."
"So it's just a dream thing?"
"Yes. My career is my dream. You think my dream is not important and you consider it normal? It's not like that, Dylan. Dream the biggest thing is being able to realize the career that I've had so far expect from when I was still in college until now."
"I can make that dream come true, Savannah. I beg you never leave me. You promised me once, that you wouldn't never left me." The man said, starting to sound sad.
"I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you. However, everything has happened. And, we really are done."
"Even our relationship lasted only a few months."
"I'm really sorry. But I can't anymore. We're not to be together again."
"Savannah..."
"We're done. I beg you to leave me. Work time has started. And I also feel bad for Duke because of your existence too long here, while my fiancé is in the next room." Interrupted the woman who made Dylan immediately speechless in a thousand languages words that seemed to pinch him feelings.
And with the submission he had, Dylan stepped out weakly walked out of Savannah's room, carrying the pain as if bombarded by a million swords that stab right in the heart and heart after being destroyed by the woman he loved so much. Woman who so hoped to fill the loneliness of his life, but now more chose to side with his rival just because of the sad thing about what he said was wrong, and seemed to backfire on himself.
