Chapter 96 Chapter Ninety-Six
They stand in front of me in a half circle. "We know Aaron isn't your boyfriend, but why did he come all the way over here just to check on you?" Reece asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Your mom said he was calling and texting you about hanging out. Why didn't you just text him back or tell him you would hang out with him later or something?" Raikin asks and I glance at Ryder, who's eyes widen a little at the mention of hanging out with Aaron.
How am I supposed to answer that? Ryder told me not to tell them about what happened. So, how do I tell them why I am not going to hang out with Aaron, without telling them what happened to cause Ryder to ban me from hanging out with Aaron or the other guys for that matter.
Not that he actually banned me from seeing them. He just asked me to take a little break from them for a while. "I left my phone here at the house when we went shopping earlier. He was probably texting me while we were gone."
I grab my phone off the nightstand and check my messages. There are like twelve messages and seven missed calls all from Aaron.
Aaron: Hey baby you want to hang out later today?
Aaron: Hey baby are you alright?
Aaron: Are you okay baby? You are starting to worry me.
Aaron: Are you mad at me?
Aaron: If you are mad at me because of what we did, I am so sorry baby, just talk to me okay.
Aaron: Are you worried Logan will be mad? If you are, don't worry I will tell him. I'm sure it will be okay.
Aaron: Please just talk to me baby.
Aaron: If you don't answer I am going to come over there, please don't shut me out.
Aaron: I'm sorry baby, I shouldn't have let you do that for me.
Aaron: Please forgive me baby. I am so sorry. We don't have to do anything ever again I promise I'm not expecting anything if we hang out.
Aaron: Just say something baby. Tell me to fuck off or something, anything to let me know you are okay.
Aaron: I'm on my way to your house baby. Please just talk to me when I get there.
Shit shit shit. He thinks I'm mad at him, he thinks I don't want to see him anymore or hang out with him. Aaron thinks I don't want to be friends with him because of what we did. I should have just texted him back this morning and told him I couldn't hang out or something, then none of this would have happened.
I don't want to lose him as a friend. Just because I can't hang out with him for a little bit doesn't mean I don't ever want to see him again or talk to him. I reread the messages, frowning as I read them.
Even if I text him back now he won't believe I am not mad at him. I waited too long to text him back. "What's wrong baby? Why are you frowning?" Ryder asks.
"Aaron thinks I'm mad at him."
Reece laughs. "Why would you be mad at him? You just didn't text him back, that's not a reason why you would be mad at him."
I look at Ryder, pleading with my eyes for help. I don't know what to say. "He thinks I don't want to hang out with him anymore. That's why he thought I was ignoring him." I say avoiding giving a real explanation.
Raikin shakes his head making a confused face. "That doesn't make any sense. Did something happen between the two of you when you hung out?"
Ryder finally jumps in. "Aaron was talking trash about me and Lilly snapped at him. She told me last night about their little argument. That's probably why he thinks she's ignoring him."
Reece and Raikin look over at Ryder and I silently thank him. If it were up to me I would just tell them the truth, but Ryder thinks it will just cause more problems than it would do any good. So I am keeping my mouth shut.
It is killing me that I can't be honest with them though. I won't do anything else that will make me have to lie to them. I won't do anything with any of my guy friends without getting their permission first no matter what it is.
"You must have snapped pretty badly at him if he thinks you don't want to hang out with him anymore." Reece says laughing.
Raikin laughs too. "At least we know our babygirl has got our back."
I give a forced smile, and glance at Ryder who isn't laughing. "Of course I have your backs. You guys are the loves of my life."
"You are the love of my life too baby." Reece says.
"Yes you are baby." Raikin says.
Ryder doesn't say anything and the two of them turn and look at him, giving him a suspicious look. Ryder keeps his eyes on me and I make a face, trying to get him to look at Raikin and Reece. It doesn't work. Reece slaps Ryder on the arm.
"What the hell dude? Is she not the love of your life or something?" Reece asks.
Ryder furrows his brows looking over at Reece and Raikin. "What? Of course she is the love of my life."
Reece keeps watching him for a minute and I really hope he doesn't ask anymore questions. Reece finally turns his attention back to me. "Why don't you text Aaron back and tell him you aren't mad at him baby." Reece says giving me a sweet smile.
"Yeah baby, let him know you aren't mad at him and you can go hang out with him if you want to. It won't bother us. We trust you." Raikin says, giving me a genuine smile.
Isn't that funny. Raikin finally trusts me and now Ryder doesn't want me to hang out with them for a while. Which if Raikin knew what I did, he probably wouldn't want me to see any of my guy friends ever again.
I smile at the two of them. "Thank you guys. I will text him and tell him I'm not mad."
I look over at Ryder and he isn't smiling. He's just standing there, I know it's because Reece and Raikin told me I can go hang out with Aaron if I want to. I don't want to though.
Reece leans down and kisses me. "Okay baby, I love you. Have fun if you go see Aaron. I will see you tonight baby."
"I love you too Reece. I will let you know if I go see Aaron." I'm not going to, but I don't know how to explain why I'm not going so I keep that part to myself.
Raikin does the same giving me a kiss. "I love you baby." I smile and he turns to walk out of the room.
"I love you too Raikin."
