Chapter 95 Chapter Ninety-Five
“It was all really pretty, but why are you asking me that?” I ask, hoping he isn’t thinking anything crazy.
Raikin shrugs. “Just wanted to know if you saw anything you like, you know for future reference.” He says giving me a mischievous smile.
I narrow my eyes at him, he better not be talking about rings or anything like that, I love him, Reece and Ryder but that doesn’t mean I am ready to get married anytime soon. Raikin gives me a quick kiss and grabs my hand, leading me out of the store. Sometimes I really wish I could read minds, so I would know what is going through their minds.
“Do you want to get something to eat while we are here?” Ryder asks.
“Yeah, that sounds good to me.” Raikin says.
Reece nods his head. “I am starving.”
The three of them turn to me. “What about you baby?” Ryder asks.
“Something to eat sounds good.” I say smiling at them.
Ryder smiles. “Do you want food now or was there more stores you wanted to go look at?
“Food sounds good.” I say and we make our way to the food court. I leave out the reason I don’t want to look at any more stores. I already know what I am going to do for their Christmas present, which makes me feel better.
There are a ton of people in the food court, some are standing around talking, others are sitting at tables eating. Several stop what they are doing and stare at the four of us. Ryder has his arm around my shoulder, Reece is holding my hand on the opposite side, and Raikin has both hands on my hips walking behind us. I’m sure to other people we probably look strange. You can obviously tell the three of them are brothers, and then there is me. The girl in the middle of three super sexy brothers. If only they knew I am their step sister and not just the lucky girl that gets to call them hers. Then we would really get some crazy looks.
We choose something simple to eat. We all get burgers, fries and milkshakes. After we eat, we make our way back to the house. The guys played musical chairs before we left the mall parking lot. They said it wasn’t fair for one of them to get all my attention on the drive to and from the mall. I rolled my eyes but, on the inside, I was smiling.
I enjoyed spending the day with the three of them outside the house and I am kind of sad it’s ending. Now we have to go back to pretending that I am just their step sister, because none of us are ready to tell our parents. That conversation is going to be a shit show. Especially since I have heard how Curtis feels about his sons messing around with me.
Curtis will probably kick me out of his house and disown his sons when he finds out what we have been doing together. My mom, she will just say something along the lines of well I already knew you were a whore, so this just confirms it. I am not ready to deal with any of that. I just want to keep living in our little happiness bubble. We pull up outside the house, and we get out of the car, even though I don’t want to go inside.
The second we step through the door, I wish we hadn’t come home. Mom is walking towards the kitchen when we come through the door, and she stops to stare at us. Giving me one of her nasty looks. “Your little boyfriend came over here looking for you while you guys were gone.” She says crossing her arms over her chest.
I can feel my guys tense around me at word boyfriend, even Ryder tenses up and he usually doesn't care. "Who are you talking about?" I ask, assuming she is talking about Logan, he isn't my boyfriend but I'm sure Curtis told her about me and my dates.
Especially since he was so thrilled to hear about me going on dates with someone that isn't his sons. Mom scoffs in disgust. "Really you don't know who your own boyfriend is? Maybe you should learn to keep your legs closed. Being a whore is not a good look, especially for someone your age."
"Maybe you should learn to stop being a dick sucking bitch mom." I say giving her my most innocent smile.
Ryder laughs but quickly covers it with a cough. Mom looks at him, and then back to me. "Just text Aaron back. He said he's being texting and calling you about hanging out but you didn't answer so he was worried."
Aaron? Aaron came over here asking about me? That can't be right. Why would he come over to my house? He hates Ryder just as much as Logan does, why would he risk coming over here and running into Ryder?
"What do you mean Aaron came over here? Are you sure it was Aaron?" I ask, feeling even more confused than when I thought it was Logan came over here.
Mom laughs, an extremely fake laugh. "Do you think I'm stupid or something?" I do but I don't say that. "Yeah, it was Aaron. Aaron was the guy you were flirting with at Ryder's football game right? Well that's who showed up here asking about you."
Mom doesn't wait for me to say anything else she just walks into the kitchen, not saying anything else. "You better let your boyfriend know you are okay so he doesn't come looking for you again." Reece says and he almost sounds like he's joking, but I can hear the irritation in his voice.
I turn around to look at the three of them and I can see the tension on their faces. "Aaron isn't my boyfriend." I whisper, knowing Mom can hear us. I don't want her to hear us having a relationship argument or whatever is about to happen.
"I know he isn't your boyfriend, but why is he coming over here looking for you?" Raikin asks and I glance at the kitchen doorway. I put my finger over my mouth pleading with him to be quiet.
"Come on, let's go to my room." I whisper. "Please." I add at the end.
The three of them share a look and Reece nods his head. I turn and start heading to my room. They follow close behind me. I make my way into my room, mentally preparing myself for the possible argument that is just waiting to happen.
I walk into my room and sit down on the edge of the bed. Reece walks in first, followed by Ryder, then Raikin. I look at all their faces closely trying to see if I can tell how they are feeling. Aside from irritated I don't know what is on their mind or how this conversation will go.
