Lilly goes back to her seat and we all shake our heads. "Not really. It still doesn't feel one hundred percent real." Lilly says.
Dad chuckles softly. "Every new parent feels that way before the baby comes. Trust me after you have changed a hundred diapers in one day, it will feel very real." He says, joking. At least I hope he is joking.
"I hope we don't have to change that many diapers in one day." Raikin says what I'm sure we were all thinking.
Dad laughs. "It can happen. At least there are four of you guys to take care of it, if it does happen. It was just me and your mom when we were changing your nasty diapers." Dad says, looking at the three of us.
We all laugh. "Yeah, I guess that's true." I say, smiling.
"Plus, we have you to help too. Right, Grandpa?" Reece says, looking at Dad.
"When you call me Grandpa like that, it makes me feel old." Dad says, laughing a little.
We all laugh. "That's because you are old, dad." I say, laughing.
Dad narrows his eyes at me, trying not to laugh. "You just wait until you have this baby. You are going to get really old, really quick." He says.
"At least I will still be sexy." I say, smirking.
Dad scoffs. "I'm still sexy." He says, sitting up a little straighter in his chair.
We all laugh again. "You are alright for an old guy." Reece says.
"You guys are all a bunch of dicks. I can't wait until your kid calls you ugly." Dad says, laughing a little.
I burst out laughing. Laughing so hard I almost snort. I don't think I have ever heard him call us dicks before.
Lilly smiles at him, still laughing. "Well, I think you look nice." She says, in that sweet voice of hers.
"Thank you, Lilly." Dad says, smiling at her. "That is very sweet of you."
"Suck up!" Raikin says, teasingly as he laughs.
Lilly scoffs, and flips him off, smiling at him Raikin gasps, putting his hand on his chest in fake offense. Lilly laughs, blowing him a kiss. I wonder if this is what dinner would have felt like every night if we hadn't fallen so desperately in love with Lilly or if Lilly didn't love us back the way she does. Would we tease and argue with each other like this or would we have just been constantly flirting with her, trying to get with her.
I guess it doesn't matter either way now. We love her and she loves us. Soon she will be our wife, and we will be happy as a family. Maybe even happier than we are now, if that's even possible.
We finish our dinner, talking and laughing the whole time. Dad yawns, standing up. "Well guys, this old man is going to clean this stuff up and go get some sleep. Then I will see you guys in the morning."
He starts to grab his plate and I shake my head. "Don't worry about that dad, we will clean up." I say, smiling at him.
"Are you sure?" He asks, looking surprised that I offered.
I nod my head. "Yeah, go get some sleep. We love you and thank you for dinner." I say, smiling at him.
Dad looks around, Reece, Lilly and Raikin all smile at him too, nodding their heads in agreement. He smiles. "I love you guys too and thank you." He says, as he comes around the table hugging each of us. "Goodnight." He says, as he walks out of the room.
We all say good night and I turn to Lilly. "You can sit your sexy ass right there; we will clean up." I say, as I stand up and start gathering plates.
"Yep baby. We got this, you stay right there." Reece says, as him and Raikin stand up, gathering some of the other stuff. Lilly stands up and shakes her head.
"No, I want to help." She says.
Raikin laughs, kissing her on the cheek. "You are so stubborn baby." He says, as she picks up a couple of the empty cups.
"And you love it." She says, smiling at him.
"I love absolutely everything about you. Especially your stubborn side." He says, winking as he turns and carries the stuff he's holding to the sink.
“I’m glad.” Lilly says, as she follows him to the sink.
It only takes the four of us a couple of minutes to clean everything up, load the dishwasher and put the leftover food up. Lilly turns and looks at the three of us. "I'm glad your dad is going to help us with the wedding planning stuff. I wasn’t sure what to do or where to start." She says, smiling.
"I’m glad he is going to help us too, baby. I'm not good at planning. I'm just ready to marry you." I say, smiling back at her.
Lilly laughs. "I can't wait to marry you guys. We could just drive to Vegas and do one of those wedding chapel things where they marry you right then and there."
"Let's go baby. We can drive all night and be there by the morning." Reece says, and I'm honestly not one hundred percent sure if he is joking or not. Knowing him probably not.
Lilly giggles. "I'm not sure your dad would be to happy if we did that."
"We will bring him too." Reece says, laughing a little. “All we need is the four of us, our dad and your wedding dress.”
Me and Raikin both laugh. Lilly shakes her head, laughing. "You are supposed to tell me no when I come up with crazy ideas. You aren't supposed to agree with them." She says.
Reece shrugs, smiling at her. "You might as well get used to me agreeing with you, because I love your crazy ideas. Especially the ones that involve making you, my wife." Reece says.
"I already feel like I am married to the three of you. A ceremony just makes it official for everyone else. In my heart I am already forever yours, no piece of paper will change that." Lilly says, smiling at the three of us.
"We are forever yours as well. I just love the idea of you having our last name and being able to say that's my wife." I say, smiling back at her.
"Our baby will be born into a happy, loving, married parent household." Lilly says, smiling proudly.
"Yes, he or she will." Raikin says, leaning in to kiss her.
"Are you ready to go lay down baby?" Reece asks, when Raikin pulls back.
Lilly nods her head. "Yes, but first I need a kiss." She says.
Reece smiles and leans in to give her a kiss. Lilly turns to me and smiles when he pulls back. I reach out cupping her cheek. Lilly leans into my touch, staring into my eyes. I smile and lean in slow, placing a soft sweet kiss on her lips.
When I pull back, Lilly gives me the sweetest smile, I think I have ever seen. "Okay, we can go to bed now." She whispers, her voice so soft I almost couldn't hear her.
"Come on baby, let's go get some sleep." I say, smiling and taking her hand, as I lead her upstairs to the bedroom.
Reece and Raikin follow us upstairs. The four of us climb in bed, me and Reece on one side of Lilly, Raikin on the other. “Goodnight Lilly.” I whisper, wrapping my arms tight around her and placing a soft kiss on her shoulder.
