Chapter 228 Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight

Chapter 228 Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight
“Goodnight.” She whispers, yawning a little.

Reece and Raikin both say their goodnights. Within just a few minutes Lilly is sleeping. I lay there for a little while, listening to the sound of her soft, steady breathing. I slide my hand down to her stomach; I can’t wait to meet the sweet baby growing inside her.

Over the next few weeks, the four of us make a lot of decisions. What kind of flowers we want. Really, it’s what kind Lilly wanted. Me, Reece and Raikin didn’t care, we just wanted her to be happy. We decide on the type of food we want, the cake flavor, wedding colors, invitations, the guest list, a little bit of everything. Reece and Raikin got us a DJ for the wedding. It’s some guy they know from college. I have met him once, but I don’t really know him well. They say he is good though, so we are going with that.

“Are you guys excited for your last prom? It’s only a few days away.” Dad asks during dinner on Monday after school, looking at me and Lilly.

I look over at Lilly; she looks a little embarrassed. “This is actually my first prom. I didn’t go during my junior year. So, I’m not really sure what to expect.” She says, shyly.

“That’s okay. You guys are going to have a lot of fun.” Dad says, giving her a reassuring smile. “Isn’t that right, Ryder?” He asks, turning his attention to me.

I nod my head, even though I don’t really know. Yes, I went to prom last year, but I didn’t actually stay there. After about twenty minutes I left. Reece and Raikin came to pick me up, and we just hung out. Prom wasn’t really my thing. I have a feeling this year will be different though. Everything is fun with Lilly and after seeing her in her prom dress, I don’t think I could hate prom if I tried.

“We are going to have a lot of fun.” I say, reaching out and taking Lilly’s hand in mine.

Lilly smiles. “I really hope so. I need to try my dress on again; make sure it still fits.”

Reece laughs. “Babygirl, you just tried your dress on two days ago. I’m sure it still fits exactly the same way it did then.”

“Yeah baby. You look beautiful in your dress. You don’t have to try it on again.” Raikin says.

Lilly scoffs. “It was fine a couple of days ago, but my stomach has gotten bigger, it might not fit anymore.” Lilly says.

Dad laughs, shaking his head. “Sweetheart, your stomach is not any bigger than it was a couple of days ago. I promise.” He says, looking at Lilly.

"I'm pretty sure it has gotten bigger. I'm going to try my dress on again anyway, just in case." She says, sounding like she has already made up her mind.

Me, Reece, Raikin and Dad all share a look. It looks like they are trying as hard as I am not to crack up right now. "Okay baby." I say, smiling at her. "We will help you try it on later. Don't worry about it right this second. Just finish your dinner."

"Thank you." She says, smiling at me.

"You're welcome baby." I say, lifting her hand up to my mouth and placing a gentle kiss on the back of it.

"Logan is doing the gender reveal party this Saturday as well right?" Dad asks, after a few minutes of silence.

Lilly's smile spreads from ear to ear. "Yes and I am so excited. I can't wait to see if we are having a boy or a girl." She says.

"We can't wait either baby." Reece says.

"It's been killing me not knowing. I can't wait to see what we are having." Raikin says.

"Me either." I say, smiling. I look over at Dad. "You are coming to the party, right?" I ask him.

Dad nods his head. "Of course, I'm going to be there. I want to know if I am having a grandson or a granddaughter. Then I am going to go out and by every single thing I can find to spoil my sweet grandbaby." He says, sounding almost as excited as we are.

We all laugh. "I can see it now, our baby will have a house and car waiting for him or her, before it can even talk." I say, looking over at Dad.

Dad laughs. "It's every grandpa's right to spoil their grandbabies."

"You didn't even spoil us like that." Raikin says, sounding offended.

Dad shakes his head. "Well there are three of you and there is only one sweet baby." He says, laughing.

"What if we were having triplets would you still spoil them?" Reece asks.

"You're not having triplets, but if you were then yes, I would still spoil them." Dad says.

"You don't know, we could have triplets. There could be a couple of babies hiding in there." Raikin says, jokingly.

Lilly's eyes go wide. "Please don't jinx it. I do not want to have triplets, not right now anyway." She says.

We all laugh. "Don't worry baby. We aren't going to have triplets. Not anytime soon anyway." I say, winking at her.

"Yeah, we will save the triplets until after we have two or three babies already." Reece says, smiling at her.

Lilly laughs. "Just for that, we aren't having any more babies after this." Lilly says, but I think she is joking. Maybe.

We all laugh. "You say that now, but we will have at least seven babies before you even know it." Raikin says.

Lilly looks at him like he is crazy. "Raising babies is expensive. How would we take care of seven babies?" Lilly asks, laughing and shaking her head.

Raikin looks at me and Reece, then back at Lilly. "Well you are going to have three husbands, if we all three get good jobs we should be able to take care of at least three kids with each paycheck." Raikin says.

"Now you want nine babies?" Lilly asks, looking at him with wide eyes. "And what about me? I will be working too, won't I?"

Raikin shrugs. "Sure if you want too, but as long as you have the three of us you will never have to work a day in your life unless you want to." He says, smiling at her. "To answer your first question, yes nine babies. I would have a hundred babies as long as they were all with you." He says.

I feel the same way as he does. I would have as many babies as she wanted. I don't care if I had to work three jobs to pay for them, as long as she was happy I would do whatever I had to, to care for my family.

Lilly's expression changes from one of shock to pure love and she smiles at him. "That is both sweet and insane. I don't think I can have one hundred babies, but I would settle for like three, maybe four." She says, looking between me, Reece and Raikin.

"I'll take it." Raikin says, smiling. "As long as we don't stop practicing after three or four."
