Chapter 115
He breaths heavily while he watched over the door.
It was still the night of the full moon.
He had brought Julie into one of the rooms of the palace and had shut the door.
Lucian wasn't fully convinced that they were totally saved from intrusion.
At such nights, werewolves strength were unbelievably increased.
Werewolves were scattered across the palace looking for human bloods to fill their taste.
Lucian had kept Julie in his room and was protecting her.
Julie's eyelids fluttered shut, her body surrendering to exhaustion of much thinking.
She had fallen asleep on the bed surrounded by the comforting familiarity of Lucian's presence.
Lucian sat beside her, watching as her chest rose and fell with each gentle breath. He couldn't help but smile at the peaceful expression on her face.
As he monitored her, Lucian's thoughts wandered how it would be to have her in his arms.
She had been struggling lately with her feelings, and she was grateful she felt comfortable having him around.
Time passed, and Lucian continued watching over the sleeping beauty. She rotated on the bed and was hindered from proper turning by Lucian who was sitting there.
Finally, Julie stirred. Her eyes opened slowly, focusing on Lucian concerned gaze.
He was already in his human form, so she had no reason to be scared.
"Hey," Lucian whispered, smiling softly. "How are you feeling?" he added and bent his head to take a proper look at her eyes.
Julie rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the haze.
"Go back to sleep okay. I'm here" he instructed giving her the assurance of protecting her.
Julie suddenly leaned her head against his back. watching the door he didn't move to avoid shaking her posture.
"Thanks" she said softly, breaking the silence that lasted between them for a while.
Lucian smiled and moved his head slightly to take a glimpse of her. "Anytime, Julie. You know that. I'm sorry for not coming to rescue you sooner"
"It wasn't your fault " she assured him.
"Now get some rest," he whispered, his voice filled with genuine concern.
Julie
cuddled herself on the bed and began to sob gently. She recalled how she was threatened of death by Damian and couldn't help herself but cry.
She dragged her pillow to her chest and tightened it with her arms.
The woman wished it was all a dream. Her emotions were really hurting her.

Julie woke up with a headache, her heart racing all of a sudden.
Stress and anxiety clung to her like a shroud.
She tossed off the bedcoverings and swung her legs over the side of the bed.
The morning light streaming through the window only made her headache worse.
Her body shivered uncontrollably while her hands grabbed the bed coverings tightly.
Her mind replayed the last event she encountered.
It seem to be the previous day.
She wished it was a dream as she witnessed ugly werewolves in their harsh states as wolves.
The memory of it haunted her and she buffed out.
She was afraid to stay in the room any further.
She feared they might come for her still.
She recalled how certain threats were given to her by the dangerous Damian was. However, she tried her best to stay strong.
She was starting to regret and hated herself for returning.
If only she could reverse the time, she would chose to never see Damian as Ben or become friends with him. Because he became the source of her troubles.
Julie stood up from the bed hastily and strolled to the door.
Lucian was lying on the bed also. He probably slept up while watching her.
As she held the door knob to open the door, it felt stiff and unable to rotate properly.
She made several attempts to open the door, but it didn't open.
After awhile, she decided to accept that she had been locked in the room.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she remembers the wolves in their transformation once more. The images seemed to appear as a horror to her.
It was her first time of actually seeing a werewolf in it's dangerous form.
She shivers at each thought of it and cries for her fate.
Eventually, she was having a dream about it.
Julie's eyes had been fixed on Damian's wolf form, her expression a mix of fascination and caution. But as she continued to gaze at him, something shifted inside of her. A spark of fear ignited, and it quickly spread through her veins like wildfire.
At first, the fear was subtle, a gentle whisper in the back of her mind. But it grew louder and more insistent, until Julie could feel her heart racing in her chest. She tried to push the fear away, to tell herself that Damian was still the same person she had grown to care for.
But as she looked into his wolf eyes, Julie saw something there that made her blood run cold. A primal intensity, a ferocity that seemed to be lurking just beneath the surface. It was a reminder that Damian was no longer fully human, that he was now a creature driven by instincts and urges that Julie couldn't fully understand.
As the fear took hold, Julie's body began to respond. Her muscles tensed, her senses went on high alert, and her mind began to racing with worst-case scenarios. She imagined Damian losing control, imagined him turning on her with his sharp teeth and claws.
Julie's breath came in short gasps, her chest heaving with each ragged inhale. She felt like she was drowning in her own fear, like she was being pulled under by a riptide of anxiety.
She tried to take a step back, to put some distance between herself and the wolf that had once been Damian. But her feet seemed rooted to the spot, unable to move as her fear paralyzed her.
Damian's eyes never left hers, his gaze burning with an intensity that made Julie's skin crawl. She felt like he could see right through her, like he knew exactly what she was thinking and feeling.
As the moments ticked by, Julie's fear only grew. She was trapped in a nightmare from which she couldn't awaken, forced to confront the darkest corners of her own psyche.
She felt like she was staring into the abyss, with no safety net to catch her if she fell. The fear was a living, breathing thing, a monster that had taken up residence inside of her.
Julie's mind was a jumble of conflicting emotions, her thoughts racing with the implications of what she was seeing. She had thought she knew Damian, thought she understood what he was capable of.
But now, as she gazed into his wolf eyes, Julie realized that she had been wrong. She didn't know Damian at all, not really. And that realization was the most terrifying thing of all.
As the fear continued to build, Julie felt like she was losing herself. She was disappearing into the abyss, consumed by the very terror that had taken hold of her.
She was trapped in a never-ending cycle of fear and anxiety, unable to escape the prison of her own mind. And Damian, the wolf who had once been the man she loved, was the key to her freedom.
But as Julie looked into his eyes, she saw no recognition, no glimmer of the man she once knew. All she saw was the wolf, fierce and primal and utterly terrifying.
And in that moment, Julie knew that she was doomed. She was trapped in a living nightmare, with no escape from the fear that had taken hold of her.
As the darkness closed in around her, Julie felt like she was screaming, but her voice was trapped inside of her. She was mute, unable to express the terror that was consuming her.
The fear was a palpable thing, a living entity that had taken up residence inside of her. And Julie knew that she would never be free of it, not as long as Damian remained in his wolf form.
As the moments ticked by, Julie felt like she was dying, suffocating under the weight of her own fear. She was trapped in a world of terror, with no escape from the monster that had taken hold of her.
And when Damian finally looked away, Julie felt like she had been released from a spell. She could breathe again, could think again. But the fear remained, lurking just beneath the surface, waiting to pounce.
She jerked up from her scary dream immediately.
While she cried, her eyes monitored the window.
A thought came to her mind suddenly. The thought of escaping through the window. However, she recalled that she was actually with Lucian.
She heaved a sigh of relief and walked towards the bed to have plans soughted out with him.
She drew the curtains to a close and reached her hands for the window, the doorknob suddenly rotated.
Julie paused while she stared at the door shoc
kingly.
Lucian jerked up as he heard the repeated pull of the door.
"Who's in there?" they heard Damian's voice questioned.
The sound of Damian's voice on the other side of the door sent shivers down her spine. It was low and rough, a growl that seemed to vibrate through the air. Julie's heart skipped a beat as she felt a wave of fear wash over her.
She didn't want to hear his voice, because she didn't want to be reminded of the monster that lurked beneath the surface.
Julie's hand trembled as she reached out to grasp the doorknob.
"Don't" Lucian whispered from his distance while stretching his hand unto her.
As she hesitated, Damian's voice grew louder, more insistent. He was calling out to her, his words indistinguishable but his tone unmistakable. Julie felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized that he was trying to get her attention.
She didn't want to answer him, didn't want to acknowledge the monster that lurked on the other side of the door.
But as she looked into the room, she saw something that made her blood run cold. Damian was standing in the center of the room, his eyes fixed intently on hers. And as he spoke, his voice was like a knife cutting through the air, sharp and deadly.
As she stood there, frozen in terror, Lucian took a step closer. His eyes never left hers, his gaze burning with an intensity that made Julie's skin crawl.
She felt like she was drowning in his eyes, suffocating under the weight of his gaze. And as he spoke, his voice was like a lifeline, pulling her under and dragging her down into the depths of her own fear.
Julie's mind was a jumble of conflicting emotions, her thoughts racing with the implications of what she was seeing. She had thought of Damian's wrath too.
Damian began making attempt to break the door.
He hit his shoulder against the door to create a hard hit.
"We have to leave now!" Lucian suggested.
"How?" Julie wondered.
His gaze suddenly went to the window.
She knew that she couldn't stay there, and the she couldn't keep facing the monster called Damian . And so, with a surge of adrenaline, Julie took Lucian's hand and ran with him, fleeing from the horror
that had taken hold of her.
