Chapter 244 Don't think it is over

I felt sorry for him while I watched him leave, but he needed to learn to listen to us. I knew Olivia didn't agree with me. She only did this to make Aiden obey us.

After Aiden left, Olivia sighed. Then she turned to me.

"Asher, I really think that you should calm down. I think you are overreacting. You should focus on healing so we can go back to the pack as soon as possible. "

I rolled my eyes.

"Olivia, I would go back to the pack now. Let me remind you that you are the one who wants us to stay."

She frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"You want Walter to monitor my healing process, even if that could be done by Dr. Miller, or even you?"

She sighed this time again.

"Asher, Walter has nothing to do with them. Why can't you understand that? I only want good for you."

"Do you know why I called Xavier?"

She shook her head, and she seemed like she just realised there was something that she didn't know about.

"Do you remember the case of the young werewolf in the Green Community's hospital?"

She was thinking for a moment, then she nodded.

"I imprisoned the two betas who probably did that to him."

She frowned. "And what happened to them?"

"After they kicked me out, the betas moved to the Red River Pack. I just called Xavier to ask him about them."

Olivia stared at me and tried to read my face.

"Just as I thought. Their parents got them out of prison, and they are living freely in the Red River Pack."

Her eyes widened, then she looked away.

"But, did you tell Xavier about that?" She asked me while she looked back at me suddenly.

"No, I didn't. I didn't want him to make a big deal about it. If they are planning something against Aiden, then I'm afraid that would rush them to take action. I don't want that, so I hide the truth from Xavier. I've called William, and I asked him to send us a few guards around York."

"Asher, I think, if they were lucky enough to get out of prison. In this case, I am sure they just want to live their life invisibly."

I shook my head.

"No, you don't know them, Liv. They want their revenge, I am sure about that. They think they are clever enough to act with no one discovering the truth about them."

As soon as I finished talking, I had another thought. I held Olivia's phone, and I rang Xavier again.

"What are you doing?" Olivia asked me in surprise, but I motioned her to wait.

"Hello?" Xavier picked it up.

"It is Asher again. Have you told my betas that I am recovering?"

"No, they are in contact with Harry and Lucy. I don't want them to know too much. The lawsuit is closed, and I don't want to give them the opportunity to think."

I sighed in relief.

"Good, that is exactly what I wanted to ask you."

"Don't worry, Asher. Just get yourself fit as soon as possible."

"I will. Thank you."

I hung up. Even if I asked him to keep my return a secret, I couldn't be at ease. I was still worried that if Walter was giving them information, they would be aware of my well-being.

I looked at Olivia suddenly as I felt her hand on my shoulder.

"Asher, even if they would plan something like this, then you have done enough. The Green Community keeps us safe. William sent guards to help us. I don't think they could do something like this."

I sighed. I really didn't want to argue with her, but I couldn't stay in silence.

"If they have someone who helps them from the hospital, then they are aware of everything that we are planning to keep ourselves safe."

Olivia sighed again, then shook her head.

"Asher, understand that no one is helping them from the Green Community." She said, and this time she used a tone that clearly told me she wanted me to stop blaming Walter.

**Aiden's POV**

I laid down on my bed in disbelief. Even if they asked me to leave some privacy, I couldn't do that. I felt like it was about me, so I had the right to listen. However, when they were talking about this, I felt like I really wanted to be an adult. I didn't understand why they didn't believe me when I said no one could harm Flint.

"Aiden, even if we are strong, there is one thing that dad is right. If we aren't careful enough, and we get stung with that sh*t there is not much we can do." I heard my wolf inside my mind, but even he made me sigh in disbelief.

"Flint, I don't think we couldn't sense that if someone would want to harm us."

"I don't know, Aiden, but I think you have forgotten about what had happened when we got the jab as well. Remember, we couldn't do anything. Dad just gets through something that nearly took his life. He loves us, and he is only trying to protect us."

"I know Flint, but that is still not fair. I don't like them to think we aren't strong enough to defend ourselves."

"Take a shower and sleep. Maybe tomorrow you will think differently."

Flint said, and after I rolled my eyes, I walked to the bathroom. After a shower, I went back to the living room. I found my parents there. They were still talking about me and my safety, but I ignored them. I wished them good night, and they obviously thought that I thought about my behaviour, and I agreed with them finally. I let them think that. I walked back to my bedroom, and I got to sleep.

After I fell asleep, I had a dream. I was in a meadow of the Blue Moon Pack. There were many flowers blooming, and I felt entirely good. I laid back on the grass and I watched the clear sky when Flint appeared. His head was just above mine, and he asked me to wake up.

I frowned at him, but he just asked me louder, when finally I was getting back to reality, but I found myself in Flint's mind. There was an unknown figure in the room, who he was ready to attack, but we only felt a sting at our neck, and the material burned its way in Flint's veins. I felt incredible pain as well, and I wanted to scream, but I had no time for that. Before we could make a sound, the wolfsbane took effect, and we saw nothing, only the darkness.
