CHAPTER 76
She felt her heart strum as she came to a stop in front of them. The last thing she wanted was to disrupt their fun. She cleared her throat causing them to stop. Alex was in the middle of wrestling with one of the boys and she watched as they both blushed and looked towards her with their mouths wide open as though they had been caught with their hands on the candy jar. They pulled sway from each other as they gave her small smiles and they scratched the backs of their heads.
“Uhm we were just playing around. We were definitely not trying to practice or wrestle.” Alex grumbled. She only rolled her eyes at himad she dropped the basket in the middle of the picnic ground. The truth was that she had nothing against what they were doing. In Fact there was a part of her that found it cute.
“Well then I am sure you have decided to be one of the kids then you can join me and help us to work towards getting everything set up and ready”. She said to him in a demanding tone. She watched as he paused before he was forced to get down beside her as he sat down and began to pull out the food from the basket.
“Wow, how were you able to get all this food? We barely see anything like this''. He said to her in shock as she shrugged her shoulders at him in response.
“Well it did take a little bit of eprsuashop from your girl alice but i think that i am starting to grow on her just a little bit and i think that she is starting to open up more to the idea of having me around.” She said to him and he nodded his head at her in response before he shook his head at her slightly.
“Well I don't think that you should take anything that she says to heart. She had a tough outer shell but I promise you that she is a big and soft angel on the inside. Don't worry i am sure that in her own way that she actually does like you it it isn't as though she is going to ever tell any of that.” He said to her with a chuckle and she couldn't help but nod her head at him in agreement before letting out a sigh for Her lips and nodding her head at him in response to his words.
“Well let's get to eating then”. She said and she argued as the kids cheered. She couldn't help but chuckle at their behavior as she shook head slightly. She was glad to see that they are having a bit of fun and she couldn't help but feel her heart warm up at the sight of them. She was glad to see them happy and carefree in this way. It meant the world to hrr.
They spent the rest of the day sharing stories as they sat idly on the mats and munching on their sandwiches. She felt as though she was part of something bigger and she loved every second of it. She had thought that she would never be able to find a home here and that there was no one and nowhere that she would find herself truly being accepted as one of them but now she knew that she had been wrong.
She knew that in this all that she had managed to have a home and a family and she was beyond grateful for that. She loved every last one of them as she held that things would never change.
She was brought out of her thoughts when she watched Macy make sure way over to her. She had a smile on her face and she was relieved to see that they were in a much better mood now than she was before.
“Hi alpha. Thank you for this. It is the first time we did something like this ever and I think I made a friend”. She said and I watched as she turned outward some of the other girls. She had two little big tales and as Raven smiled and waved back at her she couldn't help but feel her heart warm up at the sight.
“Well Macy you know that I am always here for you atn that there is nothing that I want more in this world to see you happy. I am happy to see that you are adjusting very well. That is all I want for you, to be adjusted and for everyone to be happy”. She said to all of them.
“Well we weren't sure about you at first Alpha, we to light that you would be like the others but now we see that you are different from them.” She heard one of the boys say. She felt her body stiffen as she wondered what it was that he meant by the words.
She turned her attention towards Alex and she felt even words when he didn't dare to meet her eyes. She didn't know or understand what the reason for that was but she realized that she couldn't think too much into it. She realized that a part of her was just overreacting.
“Well how about we finish up this picnic. The sun is going to set soon and you know the rules. You are not allowed to wander here at that". Alex said to her sternly and she watched as they all let out groans from their lips as they looked towards him with a pound. "oh come on Alex you know that this is our first time with an Alpha. How about you allow you to have a little fun”. She heard one of the boys say and she couldnr help but chuckle lightly at his words.
"Yeah Alex how about we have a little fun for once". She said to him with a low chuckle. She watched as he scoffed before he rolled his eyes at her in response. He pouted at her briefly. “You are not helping. You are supposed to be the adult here and it seemed as though you are only making this worse.” He said to her but she sighed, rolling her eyes.
