CHAPTER 77

"Okay kids the party police had spoken at and I guess that it means that the gun is over but just remember that it means that he is the one to blame here and not me. He is the one who is responsible for causing all of the trouble.” She said,

He glared at her causing her to chuckle.

Raven was lost in her own thoughts as they continued to walk the kids back towards their hole. She had a lot of things that were going through herifs at the moment and she wasn't entirely sure how to feel about all of them, there was a part of her that was nervous about it all as she came to a stop in front of the orphanage. She dropped the kids off as she found herself listed in her own thoughts.

She gave them all small smiles as she hugged them briefly before she pulled away and she began to leave. Alex was quick on her trail. “I know that you have a lot of questions for me so I will answer them. Don't worry about that. The last thing is to want or need to do is to start keeping secrets from you. I know that I won't do any of it with any food and so I know better than to do something that will ruin what we have going on with each other right now.” He said to her and she let out a sigh for her lips at his words before she nodded her head at him.

“Well then tell me what he meant by the others. I really do worry about the pack. it seems as though it is falling apart and it would crumble at any moment". He said to him And she watched as his eyes widened in slight panic. He guessed that she hadn't picked her words properly and she must have given him the impression that she was considering giving up.

“Please don't give up in us. I know that we may look like a bit of a mess at the moment but I assure you that we aren't always like this. We do get better and it will become easier for you to have to deal with the time. You just have to be a little patient with us and have to give us a nir of time for us to grow properly.” He said to her and she let out a sigh from her lips.

“You should know that I am not running away and I don't have any trouble causing you any trouble. I am just trying to understand the pack better. There is nothing then you can say or so that will cause me to abandon this place. You should know that by now.” She said to him in a tremble. She watched as he looked into her eyes intently as though he was trying to figure out whether or not she was telling the truth. But in reality she had no reason to lie to himmand so she only shrugged her shoulders at him in response to his words.

“Well before you came. About five years ago, there was this man that had invaded us and he was almost able to win. He had been able to play the food and did it all very well and we had fallen for it. He had given us food and built us new housing. He loved the kids and he treated everyone kindly but it had all been an act. He had used the opportunity and he had used the fact that we all loved the kids in order for him to be able to manipulate us and when he had the chance he tried to destroy us all. We were terribly weakened by the time that He was formed within us and I was left with a mangled leg. We were never the same again after that and I often find myself wondering how I could have missed that. I feel as though most of it was my fault.” He said to her and she felt her chest tightness at his words.

She wants to shake her head and tell him no that it couldn't have been his doing that he couldn't have done anything to stop it but she knew that she couldn't. She still blamed herself for her own problems and it was only funny to her that she was trying to coach another on how not to do the dance.

She let out a sigh from her lips as she took a step toward him. She looked him in the eye as she stared at him with concern on her face. “Hey you should know that it couldn't have been your fault because you had no control over the situation. None of it was your doing and you have to learn to understand that. There was nothing that you could have said or done that would have changed any of the outcomes.” He said to her and she let out a sigh from her lips as she nodded her head at him. She knew that he was right.

"You know i always wondered where i would find my home. Where is the way that I could go and I would be accepted and I feel as though being here with you is finally having my happy place. You should know that whatever happens and whoever comes out way we will be able to put a stop to them. We aren't going to let them win. I am not about to let them win. We are better than this”. She said to him firmly and she watched as he let out a sigh from his lips as he nodded his head at her in response.

“You know that you are a very good person and that you are the one good thing. You are more like the best thing that had happened to us and this pack as a whole in a while. I know that you often doubt yourself and what you are capable of but I have full Faith in the knowledge that you will be able to see this all through. I know that you're going to be alright and that you can take down the darkness and anything else it thrusts your way.”
