CHAPTER 75
Raven knew the feeling. She had always thought that there was no one that was more hurt by the darkness than she was. She had always thought that no one else Was able to understand her pain with the amount of intensity that she could hit was wrong. It was now as though her eyes were being opened up for the first time and she was forced to be faced with the reality of the fact that she was not alone in this and yet in a way she was.
Her experience was different. It was more personal but they had experienced it as well. “I know that you have been hurt by the darkness. And i didnt know it then but I understand now that we have all been touched by it one way or another. But I want you to know that this isn't the end of the line. There is in fact light at the end of the tunnel. And I know that my words may not carry much value and that they may not mean much to you but you should know that I am here for you and I am here for the rest of the pack as well. I will not allow for what had happened to me in the past to happen to anyone else.
I am going to be better than that. I know that I have to be.” She said to her and she watched as something fluttered through her face. It was something that she couldn't entirely understand. But then she watched as a small smile appeared on her face.
She watched as she let out a sigh from her lips and she realized that it was her way of giving in somewhat. She couldn't help but smile slightly as she was relieved that she wouldn't have to beg her much more. She couldn't help but grin slightly as she watched as she began to walk off towards the fact as though that they kept on the side.
She had some leftover bread as well as jam and some juice from The bushes that grew in the edge at the border. They were the few things that were still capable of surviving here . The goode berries and so they had to utilize it in the best way that they could. She knew that in a sense it was somewhat unnerving to have them there but she guessed that it was either that or to have her peie starve.
She let out a sigh from her lips at the very thought as she shook her head. “Fine. Dont think that I am doing this because I like you or because I am definitely a fan of your company. You should know that I am not. I want you to know that the main reason that I am doing this is because of the kids and I am only doing this because of them.” She said to her in a warning tone. But Raven wasn't listening.
Instead she had a bright smile On her face. “Thank you so much for everything and you should know that I owe you for this and that means that whenever you need anything you know that you can come to me and I will do my best to help you out. I meant what i Said when i told you that i
Wanted to help out with this pack". It means everything to me and there is no happier moment for men here than the one that I will receive when you know that every last one of you peck members is don't and happy with my presence”. She said to her as she made a silent vow. She watched as she gave her a slight smile and she sne t her a grateful
Look.
“You know you are the first then go Come in here in a while and i am glad to see that you're already Trying To make that effort. Everyone here has been through a lot and we need someone like you. We need to have our hope reawakened and so i samr to tell you that I know that you are happy and content the way you are but I also want you to know that despite everything I am still here for you.” She said to her.
She gave her a small huf and she watched as the woman stiffened at first before she seemed to relax slightly in her hold. She watched as she let out a sigh for Her lips as she nodded her head and she parted her back lightly.
“My name is Alice by the way and i already know your make is Raven with the white hair. Well everyone knows that. You can't walk around with hair like that and expect for people not to notice you. They do and I assure you that everyone has.” She said to her and she gulped as she nodded her head at her in response. She wasn't sure how exactly to feel about her words but she still managed to plastered on a smile on her face as she gave her a nod of her head.
“Well I can see that I will see you sound alive. Maybe I will come back here another time and I could help you out more with some of your other tasks.” She said to her in a suggestive tone.
She watched as Alice seemed to contemplate over her words before she shrugged her shoulders at her with a sigh. She couldn't help but laugh at the thought as she felt as though the two of them were making some form of progress with each other.
She took in the loves into her hands before she began to head out of the room. She needed to make sure that everything turned out fine in the end. She had to endure that it was all well and good so that they could work towards getting to the bottom of it all.
She headed out back towards the mountain side again and she couldn't help but smile as she stopped in her tracks slightly when she spotted the sight of Alex paying tag with the kids. She had to admit he was very good with them.
She wondered if he had any siblings.
