Thirty One
~Raze.
The pack meeting was to start soon but I knew I needed some alone time. Zane walked in moments after I entered the meeting room.
"Greetings Alpha." He greeted.
I nodded.
"I haven't found out the pack she's from but I'll have the artist draw a sketch and take it to all the neighboring packs."
"Good." I said simply, getting ready for the meeting. Zane soon took his place beside me as the others filed in.
~Amber.
I was in a good mood the following day. Carmen had popped in forcing me out of my room to a place she wouldn't tell. I hope she wasn't taking me to some sick place.
I got dressed, sitting in front of the vanity as Ayra styled my hair.
I scowled. "Is this important? I am just going for a walk with Carmen."
Ayra sighed, her shoulder heaved down and a smile on her lips. "Alpha's orders. This is a plus to you as well. You get such special treatment and have the Alpha watch you ljke a jealous husband."
I blushed crimson and nudged her playfully. When we were done I bid her goodbye, not without telling her she didn't need to do anh cleaning in my room I had done all those myself.
"There you are." She said, getting up from the pavement she sat. She dusted her Jean, walking up to me with a smile plastered on her face. "Thought you were having a nice time with Raze and decided to wait out here for you."
My ears grew hot and I could not hold back the smile that found its way to my face. "Can we not just talk about him this morning?"
I feigned disinterest but really I felt a bit sad, I haven't seen him in two days and as much as I wanted to deny it I knew I missed him terribly. But asking Carmen about it would be such a big mistake.
"Fine." She pulled my hands and we walked down the familiar path we took yesterday.
"Where are we going this time?" I groaned, my legs struggling to keep up with her fast pace.
She shrugged. "A gathering of pheromones perhaps? Haven't fed my eyes with those juicy bodies."
I rolled my eyes at her antics. I couldn't stop myself from believing she was after something.
"Why are you bringing me here again today? Is there something you ain't telling me?" I asked curiously waiting for h r expression to drop but she held her smile, widening it.
"Nothing dear, you need to loosen up and get some skills for yourself, in case you get attacked." She winked..
"Then we should turn back and get a provate trainer to do that." I pointed.
"Eh eh eh, no." She wiggled her index finger on my face, turning dead serious. "You need to loosen up Amber and this is one of the most effective way, got that?"
She looked at me hopefully for a smile or a grateful sentence or even I nod, but I gave none. Instead I frowned. "Fine let's get on with it." I folded my arms under my chest as I followed after her, getting lost in a story she was teling.
Brenda came from the opposite direction with the douchebag that called himself her brother. Anger washed through my veins and I fisted my hands so tightly that I feared they would burst.
Carmen as well stopped working and had a dark look on he face.
"Carmen! Amber!" Brenda called her annoying high pitch voice resounded in my ears.
"What do you want Brenda?" Carmen asked sharply not giving her any room to go on with her lies and deceit.
Brenda immediately frowned and Darmac kept his eyes on me. I gave him my hardest stare.
"Don't be such a mood kill girl." She said with a smirk. "Where are you off to?"
"How is that any of your business?" Carmen fired back, she was slowly losing her cool and I could sensd her anger building up.
"Oh it is." She chirped and took slow but menacing steps close to us. "I just to be clear on something's with dear Amber, right?" She looked at me but I didn't say anything.
My heart thudded steadily against my rib cage, the sight of Darmac irritated me and brought the distraught feeling I felt yesterday.
She walked to where I stood under the watchful glare of Carmen, I stood there my hands folded and I glared at her.
"I heard you are the next one." She started, confusing the hell out of me.
"Next what, what are you talking about?"
"The next chick he fucks and have you killed." She whispered in my ears and immediately fear washed over me but I didn't show it, I just kept staring blankly.
"I don't know why you are telling this but kindly back off, as you can see we headed somewhere." I made to walk past her but she grabbed mh wrists my her nails digging dip into them drawing out blood. I felt the pain settle down with every passing minutes.
"I am not done with you bitch." She pushed me roughly an evil glint in her eyes.
My body painfully collided with the sharp tree trunks and poky shrubs. A whimper left my mouth, pain shot through my lie a fast flow of adrenaline.
"Don't say I didn't warn you when you get what you deserve for taking my spot for the meantime."
"You scum how dare you hurt her?" Carmen yelled aiming for Brenda but Darmac held her back, his two arms holding her tightly.
Brenda scoffed. "I have come to stay this time and your time is up." She crouched low, lifting chin with her index her long nails poking into my neck. "Say a word to Raze about this and I'll let the whole pack know who you are."
I froze, panic rushed through me. What the hell was she talking about? There was no way she could know about that.
"What are you talking about?"
"Reece was such a nice one to use." She whispered and my body numbed at the mention of his name.
