Chapter 215 Chapter 215

Chapter 215 Chapter 215
NASH: “After what Nate pulled today, I am very tempted to let the twins have him. And I can understand why Derric doesn’t want them to be the executioner for the others. It does change you. And I can see him wanting to save them that lesson before they absolutely have to learn it.” The king said.  Again, I nod. “Alright, I will grant that they may execute Nate in whatever manner they wish, for what he did to their mate. But the others will be my call to make.” The king says. “Thank you, majesty. I will let Alpha Derric know.” I say as I head for the door. “See you at dinner.” I say and leave. I take out my phone and send Derric a text. \[The King agrees with you. They will get to have Nate, but the rest is up to the king.\] I sent and then put my phone away and headed to my quarters to get ready for dinner.

DERRIC: I let out a sigh of relief when I got Nash’s text. I am grateful to the king for giving them Nate, but I am also grateful for him to say no to the rest. Thank you, goddess. I send up the silent prayer. I will let it be a surprise for the twins when the king announces that they will get to deal with Nate.

CAIDEN: It was hard to just sit there and watch Chi go through that. I wanted to kill that asshole right there on the spot. But I couldn’t. We could only wait until the king called an end to the trials for the day before we could hold her. I knew she was on the brink of spiraling. The only thing I could do was send her my strength through the bond to help her hold on. But all of it pissed me off. And I knew Jayden wasn’t faring much better than I was. So, when the king finally called it for the day. We were right by her side. Letting our sent calm her as best as it could. I wanted so badly to just pick her up and hold her in my arms, but we needed to keep it together until we got upstairs. We both lay down with her, one on either side of her. Just letting her take her time. I think we fell asleep because the next thing we heard was the knock on the door for us to go to dinner. There was no time to shower, we just changed clothes, met Dad in the hallway, and headed down for dinner.

JAYDEN: To say that I was a bit cranky would have been sorely understating how I was feeling. I wanted to completely shred that asshole right there on the spot. It was only due to the king and Chi needing our strength that held me in check. I just hope the king lets us destroy them. I was so furious, I needed to be close to Chi just as much as she needed us to help soothe her. And having that short nap was probably the best thing that helped all of us. Except we didn’t get the time to take a shower. Oh well. We’ll get that in tonight, after dinner. I just want to get this whole mess done with and get back home. Then we can focus on us, on our Pack. And what we want to do with it. And get things started in the direction of going forward with the plans we made. But right now, it’s dinner time with the king.

KING: I was the first one in the dining room. The next to come in were the council members. I know our guests were anxious to get these trials over with. I don’t blame them; I want them over with too. So, when the council members entered the dining hall, I called them over to me. “I am not asking what I’m about to ask to influence the trials by any means, but I know that our guests are anxious to get back to their Pack. So, with that being said, do we need them for anything beyond what we already have?” I asked them. They confer with each other. “Unless they have definitive proof of the breeding issue other than what we have on paper, and their word, no, I don’t believe they need to stay Majesty.” Geraldine said. “Thank you.” I said to them and let them go take their seats for dinner. When the Silver Aspen group entered, I motioned for Derric to come speak to me. “Derric, do you have any other evidence of the breeding program?” I asked him. “Only what my former Luna had written in her journal.” He tells me. “Did you bring it?” I asked. “Yes, majesty, I figured it might be needed.” He says. “Good, you can give it to the council tomorrow at the beginning of the hearing.” I tell him. “And then we will allow your twins to finish what they started with Nate, considering he put his hands on their mate and held her at knife point. I won’t deny them their justice for that.” I tell him. “Thank you, majesty.” He says, and I nod, indicating that he can rejoin his people.

JAYDEN: I saw the king motion to Father. I wonder what that was all about. I get Caiden’s attention and motion in the direction of Father and the king. “Wonder what they’re chatting about?” I said. “Mmm.” He answers me. “We’ll just have to wait and see.” Caiden says. “Hopefully it’s about us getting to destroy those bastards.” I say. “Patience brother.” Caiden tells me. “As much as I can, brother, as much as I can. I just want to tear them apart for what they did at Chi’s Luna ceremony, and Nate for putting his hands on our mate to begin with. Let alone him holding a knife on her.” I said with a growl. “I know, me too, but we have to wait, the king has final say in what happens to the ranked wolves. I just hope he lets us have Nate.” Caiden says. “Hmm.” I answered him, and we went to sit for dinner. I watch as Father comes to join us. But before I get the chance to ask him anything, Caiden beats me to it.

CAIDEN: “What did the king want, Father?” I asked before Jayden could. “He wants me to turn over the notes in your mother’s journal.” He says. “Makes sense, just another layer of showing that they were running a breeding program.” I say. Father nods. And we wait to be served in silence after that.

CHIARA: My hope of not having to be present today was dashed before we even got to breakfast. We all got the text to be present for the continuation of Nate's trial. So, after breakfast, we head back down to the courtroom. “Now, before we get Nate back in here, Derric, I believe you have something for the council?” The king asked. “Yes, your majesty.” Alpha Derric got up from his seat and approached the council with Luna Louise’s journal.
