CHIARA: “I have the pages marked with yellow tabs that mention the breeding program.” He told the council. Then he retook his seat. “Now with that done, I am going to let the assembled Council members and witnesses know that all the warriors who claimed allegiance to Alpha Jeremy have been sent back to the Pack. The others will be held for their execution, set for a later date. And depending on how the council rules on Nate, he will be remanded to Alphas’ Caiden and Jayden for his crimes against their Luna.” The king stated. I was shocked. But what exactly did that mean? ‘Depending on how the council ruled?’ I mean, he was guilty of putting his hands on me, holding me at knifepoint. How else could they rule? But I felt the energy already pumping through the twins through the bond. They were giddy, like a couple of kids with a new puppy to play with. But after the king made his statement, the room was called to order, and they brought Nate back in. He glared at me, like I was the one to blame for the predicament he found himself in. He was cuffed in silver, and in the instant that they were transferring the cuff to the holding ring on the bar for the accused box. He shoved both the guards and jumped the barrier and lunged at me with his claws extended. But he didn’t get close. The twins grabbed him and had him pinned before he could touch me. “ENOUGH!” the king roared. “Council members, his trial is over. Bring him to the ring. Jayden and Caiden follow me. Emerick, please show our guest to the stands. Nate’s punishment happens now!” The king growled through clenched teeth. To say he was pissed was an understatement. His anger was radiating off him and filling the entire room. It was oppressive, pressing down on everyone. But we all followed his orders, Caiden and Jaden followed the king and the rest of us followed Emerick to the stands for the ring. When I stepped through the door, the space reminded me of a Roman colosseum. But on a much smaller scale. I took my seat behind Alpha Derric and was surrounded by our guards. Nate was brought into the ring and thrown forward. Jayden and Caiden stepped into the ring dressed in only basketball shorts. Both of them were growling. Both Axel and Steel were at the surface. I could feel Thena push forward; she wanted to watch her mates fight for her. And if I was being honest, it did feel a bit romantic even for me. Especially after all the crap they put me through now, they were going to fight for me. It all felt surreal.

JAYDEN: I could feel Steel at the surface he wanted out. He wanted to rip Nate apart for trying to attack her, yet again. You’d have thought that he would have learned from the last time he put his hands on our mate. But apparently, he didn’t. Now he was going to learn, and it’s going to cost him his life! The asshole.

CAIDEN: Axel couldn’t wait to sink his teeth into that son-of-a-bitch. How dare he think he could put his hands on our mate and walk away! Not happening. He is a dead wolf he just doesn’t know it yet. But he will learn it soon enough. Jayden and I have trained every day from the time we were 8 years old, so this idiot didn’t stand a chance against us. I don’t care, he will pay, and we will be the ones to make it happen. It will help to settle both Axel and Steel, so they don’t take it out on the wrong people. We are just waiting for the king’s signal, then anything goes, till he’s dead. “Begin.” The king called out. And that’s all we needed. Jayden and I pounced. The fight if it could even be called that lasted a bit over 5 minutes and Nate lay bloody and dead at our feet. But it was enough to satisfy Axel and Steel and finally let them settle down. And that was good enough for me, as long as he was good, I was good.

JAYDEN: Steel felt better after we destroyed Nate. And after what we heard before his trial started today, we, as in he and I were ready to go home. We just wanted to get our mate and get the hell out of dodge so-to-speak. And I wasn’t arguing. We weren’t going to get to do anything about the rest of them anyway. So, we might as well go home. I don’t need to stick around to hear if they find the rest of the ranked wolves guilty or not. I do know that if they do get released, if they show their faces anywhere near Sliver Aspen, they are dead, because I won’t hesitate. “Your majesty, I would like to make a statement.” “Go ahead.” He says. And Caiden comes to stand with me as I make my statement. “I don’t know what’s to come for the rest of them, but I really don’t care. But if the council should find in their favor, please inform them to stay away from Silver Aspen, or they will forfeit their lives. I will not hesitate to destroy any of them for what they pulled during our Luna’s coronation ceremony.” I say, and both my brother and I bare our necks to show that we mean no disrespect to him, but we will not tolerate them. “Noted.” The king says. “I believe we are done for the morning. Go get cleaned up. I will see you all at lunch, and then we will see you off.” The king states.

DERRIC: I knew the boys would make short work of Nate. I also know how much they would have wanted to play with him to torture him. If we were at home, I wouldn’t mind a little, but not here, not now. So, I was proud that they made quick work of him. While the boys were cleaning up, I sent a quick text to Vance. \[We will be leaving today after lunch with the king. Be home in two days.\] \[understood.\] Vance sent back. Then I started to pack things up so I would be ready to go when it was time.

CHIARA: I am so ready to leave. We have been here for a week now. So, as soon as the twins were cleaned up enough to walk through the mansion without leaving a blood trail behind them. We went back to our room to get them fully cleaned up, changed for lunch, and to start packing to head home. I know it’s going to be another two-day journey, but at least we won’t be here. Not that there is anything wrong with being here, except the whole pins and needles thing of what if’s for me. So, yeah, I’m glad to be getting out and going home. I went and showered after the twins were through. I didn’t want to get them started with wanting a ‘quickie’ in the shower.
