CHAPTER 75

The atmosphere in the hotel room was calm as Ignis settled each of the brothers into their beds. Kane wished goodnight, and Ignis, leaning in, placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, wishing him sweet dreams. Dorian followed suit, saying goodnight, and Ignis responded by wishing him to sleep with the angels.

Ignis approached Cassian's bed, and he looked at her with a serious expression. Cassian couldn't help but express his feelings.

“I'm sorry for thinking you were a vampire,” said Cassian.

“Don't worry, Cassian. It's always good to be cautious, especially in this world you're beginning to discover. Your mother taught you very well,” Ignis replied.

Cassian thanked her, genuinely touched by Ignis's understanding. She suggested, with a mischievous gleam in her eyes, a way to handle doubtful situations in the future.

“If you want, we can use garlic as a code,” Ignis proposed. Cassian raised his eyebrows, intrigued. “When we're in front of someone suspicious, I'll suggest adding garlic to the food. That way, you'll understand that it's time to be on alert.”

Cassian considered the idea and agreed. “Alright, I think we can do that.”

Ignis smiled, satisfied with the impromptu solution. “Now, rest, Cassian. Tomorrow we have a long day ahead.”

Cassian lay on the bed, reflecting on recent events. Ignis left the room, turning off the lights, and leaving Cassian to his thoughts.

As silence enveloped the room, Cassian realized that the world around him had become a place of mysteries and wonders. As he closed his eyes, Cassian knew that the next dawn would bring new challenges and revelations, shaping the course of the destiny that lay ahead.

Ignis drove with confidence, navigating the winding roads toward Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The towering Rocky Mountains stood majestic in the distance, capturing Cassian's admiration as he observed fascinated through the window.

“Are we getting close?” Cassian asked, his voice filled with anticipation.

Ignis smiled as she kept her eyes on the road. “Yes, Cassian, we're almost there.”

Dorian, sitting next to Cassian, curious, wanted to know more about the place they would soon visit. “What's the pack like, Ignis?”

Ignis's smile widened as she evoked memories. “The pack is a beautiful place, surrounded by towering trees, wildlife, and a unique energy. In my time, it was a magical place.”

Kane, intrigued, asked if Ignis lived there. Ignis shook her head gently. “No, Kane. I no longer live there. This is the first time I've returned after many years.”

Cassian's curiosity deepened, and he asked what would happen when they reached the pack. “And after we get there, Ignis? What will it be like?”

Ignis pondered the question before answering. “You will meet your father, and the pack members, and have the chance to integrate with it. It will be a special moment for everyone.”

Cassian then inquired about Ignis's role in this story. “And you, Ignis? What will happen to you?”

Ignis took a deep breath before responding. “My mission will be fulfilled. I brought you here, and afterward, I must follow my own path. The Moon Goddess has other plans for me.”

Kane, with a worried expression, asked, “But you won't stay with us?”

Ignis, gently, replied, “No, Kane. My destiny is set. You'll be under the protection of the pack, and I must take the courses assigned to me.”

The atmosphere in the car became quieter, everyone contemplating the destinies that awaited them in the Rocky Mountains. The winding road served as a metaphor for the journey they were about to complete.

As Rocky Mountain National Park approached, emotions grew, and Ignis drove the car with determination, preparing to deliver the triplets to their father and the pack.

The last turns of the road took them to their final destination. Ignis parked the car near the park entrance. They got out, inhaling the fresh mountain air, ready for the challenges and revelations that awaited them in the pack in the Rocky Mountains. Ignis, facing the boys, spoke up.

“We'll need to walk closely together, okay?” Ignis looked at the three with a serious expression.

Dorian, always curious, asked, “Is the pack really inside the park?”

Ignis confirmed with a nod. “Yes, Dorian, the pack is inside.”

Kane, more hesitant, expressed his discomfort. “I don't want to go in.”

Ignis approached Kane, crouching down to his level. “Why not, Kane?”

Kane, with a worried look, asked in a choked voice, “What if Dad doesn't like us?”

Ignis, gently, responded, “Kane, your father loves you very much. That won't happen, I promise.”

Cassian, the eldest of the triplets, approached Kane and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “Don't worry, Kane. It will be fine.”

Cassian, concerned about another matter, asked about their mother. “What about our mother? Will she be there?”

Ignis, with a more serious expression, explained, “She'll likely be there. But now is the time to go in and face this together. Don't worry, I'll be with you all the time.”

The boys exchanged glances before approaching Ignis. Walking together, they crossed the park entrance, entering a world of imposing landscapes and unknown challenges.

The silence was broken only by the sound of footsteps on the trail and the gentle whisper of the wind in the trees. Ignis led the way, with the boys following closely.

As they advanced through the park, the atmosphere became charged with anticipation. Cassian, Dorian, and Kane looked around, absorbing the majesty of the Rocky Mountains.

As they approached the heart of the park, the scenery unfolded, indicating that they were getting closer to the pack that would change the course of their lives. Ignis looked at the triplets, sensing the mix of emotions surrounding them.

Ignis knew that the meeting with their father and the pack would be a crucial milestone in their journeys. However, she was determined to guide the boys safely and offer them a future full of meaning and purpose.

The pack awaited, and with each step, the destiny of Cassian, Dorian, and Kane unfolded before them.

Ignis led the way, guiding them through the majestic landscapes. Until, at one moment, Ignis stopped.

Cassian looked at Ignis curiously. “What's going on?” he asked.

Ignis smiled and said, “We have arrived.”

The triplets followed Ignis's gaze and were awestruck as they spotted a massive cabin standing out in the landscape like an imposing palace.

Dorian expressed his amazement with a “wow.”

Cassian, trying to understand, asked, “Is this the pack?”

Ignis clarified, “No, Cassian. This is the Hut. It's a refuge for werewolves, where they can seek shelter when needed.”

Kane, intrigued, asked, “But who lives here?”

Before Ignis could answer, a red-haired woman emerged from the cabin.

“Finally, you've arrived!” exclaimed the woman, watching each of the triplets with an affectionate gaze.

Ignis made a bow, indicating respect, and confirmed. The red-haired woman approached them with enthusiasm, embracing each of the triplets.

“Finally, the search has come to an end,” she said with emotion.

The triplets exchanged perplexed looks, clearly surprised by the woman's reaction. Kane, bravely, was the first to speak. “Who are you?” he asked, with curiosity and a hint of suspicion.

Cassian, intrigued, looked at Ignis and inquired, “Who is she?”

The redhead, now approaching Cassian, replied, “I am Zora, the mate of the Alpha King of the pack. Also, a great friend of your mother's.”

The triplets absorbed the revelation with surprise and excitement. Zora, smiling warmly, explained, “I was eager to meet you.”

Cassian, trying to understand the situation better, was the first to speak. “You said you're a friend of our mother, but we've never seen you at home. How is that possible?”

Zora, with an affectionate smile, replied, “I met your mother long before you were born, Cassian. We share a special bond that transcends any time.”

Dorian, with a penetrating look, asked, “Where is our mother? Why isn't she here?”

Zora, remaining calm, explained, “Your mother has been informed of your arrival. She's on her way and will be here soon to meet you.”

Kane, uneasy, asked about their father, “What about our dad? Ignis said we would find him here.”

Zora raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the mention of their father. “What's with your father?” she asked.

Kane, hesitating, explained, “Ignis said we came to be protected by our dad.”

Ignis confirmed Kane's words, “The boys are here to meet the Alpha King Hunter, their father.”

Zora, surprised, widened her eyes. She looked at Ignis in shock, trying to understand the situation.
