"Ashley, where are you? I was so worried," I said

"I am at the park by the Royal Elementary," Ashley said

"Why are you there?" I asked confused

"I needed to get some fresh air and think. I have so much on my mind. I haven't been a good mate to James, and I feel terrible. I want to talk to him and let him know that I am ready to accept him as my fated mate, but I am so nervous. What if he changed his mind about me?" Ashley said.

"He would never change his mind. He loves you. I believe he has loved you for a long time, Ashley," I replied

"I just don't know. I treated him poorly. Can you come meet me here, Eliana? I need to talk to someone and you are the only one I can think of," Ashley said

"Sure," I replied

"Oh, and can you come alone? I don't want anyone else to know," Ashley said

"Sure, I will meet you there. It isn't a long walk, so I will just walk there," I said

"Thank you, Eliana. That is why you are my best friend," Ashley said, and then we ended the call. I decided to change into a pair of black sweats and a black t-shirt. I put one of Killian's hoodies on and walked out of my room. I decided to tell Tiara that I was meeting Ashley. I walked to the room Tiara was staying in and knocked on the bathroom door

"Hey, T," I said

"Yeah." She said on the other side of the bathroom door

"Ashley contacted me. I am going to go meet her at the park by the elementary school here. She needs to talk," I said

"I will go with you," Tiara said

"No, She said she only wanted to talk to me. I think she would be embarrassed if someone else came," I said

"Okay, but be careful," Tiara said

"Hey, Eliana," I looked up to see Helena standing by the front door as I was about to leave

"Hello, um what are you doing here?" I asked

"Your father and I decided to come early. Tomorrow is the big day. Are you nervous?" Helena asked. I hadn't spend a lot of time with Helena but seemed seemed to be a nice person. She was always kind to me. I didn't know if that was for show or if she was really sincere.

"A little," I said

"That's understandable."

"I have to go. See you later," I said

"Where are you going so late at night?" Helena asked

"I am meeting a friend," I said

"This late at night," Helena asked

"It is only eight thirty," I replied

"Oh, hello, Eliana," I looked up to see Cayson and Syrus walking over to where we were standing. William and Catherine were with them

"Hello," I said

"Hey, where are you going?" Catherine asked

"Eliana was going to meet someone somewhere, alone," Helena said. I looked at her, shocked. I couldn't believe she told on me

"I am just going down the street to the park by the Royal Elementary School," I said

"Still, you shouldn't go out alone. Especially at night. You are a princess. The heir to the witch kingdom and also the future werewolf queen. You need to be careful," Cayson said

"Yeah, you have no idea how many of my enemies would love to hurt you. Also, some would love to harm you because you are Killian's fated mate," Syrus said

"How about I go with you. We can take Tiara as well. That way Tiara and I can talk while you and Ashley talk," Cayson said

"Okay," I said, and a moment later, Tiara walked outside.

"Good, you are here. I was worried you already left when I texted you," Tiara said to Cayson

"You text him?" I asked

"Yeah, I told him that you were going to meet Ashley. I was about to follow you after I got dressed, but I wasn't sure if I would make it in time," Tiara said

I sighed. "Fine, you two can come, but you have to keep your distance so that I can talk to Ashley in private. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable," I said

"Okay," Tiara said, and we left. The walk took only about eight minutes. Ashley was sitting on a swing when we arrived. When she saw me, she smiled, but then frowned when she saw Tiara and Cayson. I walked over to her, and they walked to the other side of the park, where there was a bench

"Why are they here? I told you to come alone," Ashley said

"I know, but they wouldn't let me go alone. they were worried it was too dangerous to walk here so late," I replied, and Ashley stayed silent

"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked

"Hey, you," I looked at Cayson to see him looking behind me. I turned around to see three people running away. Cayson was glowing green. His eyes were glowing green as well. I knew he was using his magic. After a moment, he came back

"Who were they?" I asked

"I don't know, but whoever it was has powers," Cayson said

"Are you all alright?" Syrus asked as he walked over. Helena, Catherine, and William were there as well

"Yeah, we are fine," Cayson said

"Thank the Goddess you didn''t come on your own, Eliana. There is no telling what would have happened," Catherine said

Two guards walked over to us.

"What do you have?" William asked

"Whoever it was disappeared. So did their scent. They must have used some type of spell," the guard said

"Witches or warlocks," Syrus said

"Call all the witches and warlocks from the kingdom now," William said

"Yes, My King," The guard said and he left.

"Killian is so worried about you> He wanted to come here but I told him you are alright. He said he called you but you didn't answer. You should call him back before he loses his mind," Catherirne said

"Oh, my phone is dead," I said

"Use mine," Catherine said, and she handed me her phone. I called his number and he answered it quickly

"Mom."

"It's me," I said

"Eliana, are you alright?" Kilian asked

"Yeah, nothing happened. Cayson noticed them before anything could happen," I said

"That's good. You have no idea how close I was to finding you," Killian said

"I am okay. Don't worry," I said

"I love you. Let me speak to my Cayson," Killian said
"Love you too," I replied, and I handed the phone to Cayson

"Let's head back to the castle," Catherine said

"I will stay with you guys tonight," Cayson said after getting off the phone with Killian

"Okay," I replied. I honestly felt safer with him there.
