I didn’t know that Aziz had been working like this. I thought he was only keeping himself busy with the mall and the pack. I never thought that he still had a construction and IT company. Just how did he manage to do everything in his hand? He needed help and I was glad that he didn’t hesitate to ask me. It only means that he trusted me and he believed in me and my capabilities. I never had a chance to work in a formal company in fear that my step-father would find me, so I only applied for a job in a diner or fast food restaurant as a part-timer. But it doesn’t mean that I can’t do office jobs.
He explained to me everything about the construction company. His father was the one who started that business while the IT company was established by him. He is an IT expert and that explains the security of the pack. “Did you get everything?” He asked," We are in his office and I was reading a report from previous months. He wanted to know if I understood everything that was written on it and thank Goddess because I do.
“Yes,” I replied, “Here is our profit for the month and as I compare it to previous months, I would say that the company was doing well. Though there was an increase in expenses,” I added.
“That time, I asked Reeves to get a manager but it didn’t go well. He was too complacent that I was not capable of visiting the company and that happened,” he replied,
“I see, then will I go to the company as well once I start to work on these?”
“Can you?” he asked and I smiled.
“Of course,”
“Carter will be with you always,” he replied, and I know that.
“You have to rest too. It’s not good for you to overwork yourself. You know that we still have the vampire king to think about.” I reminded him and he sighed.
“Yes, about that. As long as they were training the way I instructed them to train, then everything was going to be OK. We just have to be vigilant at all times.” he replied. He seemed prepared but, of course, I can’t help but worry. It was the same vampire king that killed his mother. Don’t get me wrong, I am not worried about my own life, but I was worried about his own.
“Just make sure that you find time to rest, especially when I am not here. It’s important that you are at your best all the time, the pack is counting on you, I am counting on you.” I said and kissed him.
“I will, woman. For you,” he replied, and I felt relieved. I know that he is going to do as I say since that’s what I am doing as well. I see to it that I followed his words because I know that he was only worried about my well-being, just as I am worried about him.
It has been a month and Aziz could relax since I already know more about the construction company. Besides his teaching, I give time to myself to study more about business. I searched and read everything about construction, especially the materials. I need to know what is good for every project.
Handling the company was quite difficult because I needed to go to the office every day and leave the pack. I know that Aziz was worried about me as well, even if Carter was with me. I still do my training daily after work and I would find my mate in our bedroom at the end of the day looking at his laptop while he waited for me.
I am glad that there was something I could do for him and help him out. And I was glad that he let me. Many men would be proud not to let their wives or partners work since they think that they are the one who needs to provide for their family. I admire those men, but there are men like Aziz who have a lot of responsibilities and need help from their partners.
“How was work?” he asked,
“Fine,” I replied. “I want to tell you something,” I added, and he put down his laptop on the side table and stretched his arms, inviting me to come to him, and so I did. I sat on his lap, then he hugged me and inhaled my scent from my neck.
“What is it, woman?”
“I was planning on getting a manager for the construction company.” I said, “I wanted to stay with you, here. But I will be going there once a week or whenever it requires my attention.”
“You have thought about it already, yeah?” he asked, not leaving my neck. I could feel him licking and sucking me there and arousing something in between my legs.
“Hmm..” I hummed since desire was already building up in me.
“You’re the one managing it and I believe that you know what you are doing,” he said and continued what he was doing in my body. Oh, goddess, I like it when he’s acting like that.
“I am going to put up an ad or I could just choose among your scholars,” I said in between moaning.
“Uhmmm…” he replied.
“Are you going to continue what you are doing?” I asked,
“Yes, do you have a problem with that, woman?” he asked after he looked me in the eyes.
“No, I was about to tell you that it was OK to discuss my concern later.” I answered and he smiled, “I love that smile, my Alpha.” I said and initiated the kiss, which ignited our desires even more. I missed him so much even though we were able to see each other every day. But it wasn’t enough, since we are both busy and tired at the end of the day. Right now, all I want is for him to touch me and feel and make love to me.
