Chapter 150

Chapter 150

Victoria sneered, her eyes showing exhaustion, "Martin, if you want to travel, you can ask Mia to go with you."

As soon as she said this, she saw his hands at his sides clench into fists. Was he angry again?

Did he want to hit her?

"I already told you, I'll follow the contract! I've taken the medicine, and the baby is staying in my belly! What more do you want?" Victoria looked up at the familiar Martin in front of her, staring at him with confusion.

Martin felt suffocated and uncomfortable hearing her say this.

They weren't divorced yet, she was still his wife, yet she was telling him to go travel with another woman.

Martin sneered coldly, "You think I'm discussing this with you? I'm just informing you!"

"Right, since it's just an announcement, why bother asking for my opinion?"

"Victoria, do you have to talk to me with such hostility?"

"Sorry, I don't say things I don't mean. If you want to hear nice words, you can go find Mia. She'll definitely be willing to say them to you."

Victoria even smiled at him!

For a moment, Martin had the urge to strangle her. Did she feel happy seeing him angry?

But in the end, he held back this emotion!

Martin turned and went to the walk-in closet.

He opened the suitcase and personally folded her favorite sweaters, jeans, and three spare jackets, placing them all neatly in the suitcase.

Then he zipped it up and set it aside.

Victoria still couldn't sleep the entire night. She really wanted to sleep, but just couldn't.

The depression in her heart grew heavier and heavier.

After Martin finished packing, he saw Victoria staring straight at him with an unfamiliar look, "Martin, you don't need to do this."

"I'll say it again, I'm informing you, not asking for your consent."

"The place we're going this time is Rainbow Town. You used to love going there," Martin explained.

Victoria sneered. She did like it before, when she was young and carefree. But how could she really have liked Rainbow Town?

What she really loved was traveling with the man she loved. No matter where they went, as long as she was with Martin, she was satisfied and happy.

But now she no longer had that state of mind.

Early the next morning.

Mia had just arrived at Martin's apartment door.

Ever since Martin told her not to think about marrying him, she had been angry and resentful.

But she didn't dare lose her temper easily. After thinking it over, she decided to come find Martin and make nice.

But then she saw Victoria and Martin coming out of the apartment!

Mia's eyes widened in shock.

These two were living together?

No wonder Martin changed his mind. It must be that bitch Victoria's doing!

Mia watched Victoria open the passenger door, then Martin drove off quickly.

She waved her hand, and a taxi pulled up in front of her.

Getting in the car, she quickly instructed the driver, "Follow that Bentley ahead! Hurry!"

The driver hit the gas and followed Martin's car at a moderate distance.

Eventually the car stopped at the airport entrance.

Mia specially bought a hat and mask, covering half her face tightly.

After Martin and Victoria checked in, she hurried forward and told the check-in attendant, "Get me a ticket for wherever that gentleman ahead is going!"

"What?" The attendant looked at her in surprise, thinking she had misheard.

Seeing Martin and Victoria about to disappear into the sea of people, she said urgently, "Wherever he's going, I'm going. Why are you asking so many questions!"

"Okay, I'll print your ticket now."

After boarding, the plane soon soared into the clouds.

Victoria's seat was next to Martin's.

But she didn't even glance at him. Ever since he forced her to take the medicine yesterday and nearly killed her, all she felt toward him besides exhaustion was nothing else.

She was especially tired now.

Hayden had killed Martin's parents, and Martin had taken the Gonzalez Group, causing the Gonzalez family to fall, turning her from a carefree young lady into what she was now.

Yet Victoria couldn't even blame him—this was the debt she owed him.

But Victoria was human too. How could she not feel resentment!

So silence was the best solution.

Victoria looked at the large clouds outside the window and blinked her dry eyes.

Her heart felt so depressed she could barely breathe!

"Haven't you slept well for days? Why don't you close your eyes and rest properly?" Martin's voice, soft and light, fell into her ears.

Martin had always been a workaholic.

Ever since he joined the Gonzalez Group, he'd been like this.

So Victoria's biggest wish used to be for him to put down work and travel with her.

Even if just for a day, or an hour!

But he always had so many excuses and explanations, saying work was to gain Hayden's recognition, to plan for their future.

Asking her to understand him.

She had always been obedient and understanding, but what did that get her?

Victoria never expected that before her death, Martin would actually be willing to put down work.

What a miracle!

"You didn't just bring me alone on this trip, did you?" Victoria sneered mockingly.

Martin frowned and asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"Mia didn't come?" she asked curiously.

His frown deepened. "No."

"If you brought her, I wouldn't be angry. After all, you two even took wedding photos together." Victoria sneered and turned to look at him, "Has Mr. Collins picked a good date for the wedding?"

Victoria's sharp retorts made Martin's expression change slightly, "Victoria, don't be ungrateful. I'm traveling with you for the sake of the child in your belly. Making me angry won't do you any good."

So Martin's sudden change of heart was because of the child.

Without the child in her belly, he wouldn't spare her any time, would he?

"You really value this child!"

"Of course, why wouldn't I care about my own?"

"Martin, I was being sarcastic. Can't you tell?"

Martin was clearly just trying to torment her, yet he found these high-sounding excuses.

How ridiculous!

Martin's expression grew even darker. He got up and went to chat with the flight attendant.

Probably because he was so handsome, he was the center of attention wherever he went.

Victoria saw the flight attendant's face visibly redden!

Martin even took a photo with the flight attendant.

He wore a suit, showing an appropriate smile, with glasses on his nose. The perfect image of a refined scoundrel.

Victoria had fallen for him because of his looks, and then couldn't pull herself out.

It was all her fault for being stupid, for not seeing that he deliberately approached her, pretending to be aloof and uninterested. Her desire to conquer made her forcefully present her heart and her love to him.

She thought she had married for love, but instead fell into Martin's trap, inviting the wolf into her home!

Victoria saw Martin looking over and shifted her gaze away.

He walked over, holding a thin blanket in his hand, and draped it over her expressionlessly, "You haven't been sleeping well but you're still so alert? Hurry up and sleep!"
