Chapter 143
Martin's initial purpose in approaching Victoria was for revenge, for using her!
But she looked like he was everything to her!
When Victoria completely messed up his heart, when he wanted her to have his children, when he wanted to try letting go of hatred and go back to how things were before with her.
She said she regretted meeting him?
Why! Why should he be the only one suffering? She could just give up whenever she wanted. If she was going to give up, why did she pretend to like him so much back then?
Martin's anger was completely ignited. When he kissed her, there was no tenderness at all.
Biting and gnawing, until he tasted blood from her lips, he still couldn't calm down.
His large hands tore apart the sweater she was wearing.
Victoria was scared by his brutal behavior and kept resisting and struggling.
But it was all useless.
It seemed the more she struggled, the more interested he became.
If it were before, she would have chosen not to provoke Martin. She would have tried to please him.
But today she was too angry!
Victoria couldn't accept a husband who flirted with his mistress right in front of his wife, then came back and wanted to have sex with her!
Besides, he wanted her dead!
"Martin, get away! Let me go!"
"Martin, you're an animal! Bastard!"
Faced with her cursing, Martin grew even angrier. Just as he was about to go further.
A slap echoed in the dark room.
Martin froze. Victoria had actually hit him!
"Get out!"
"I don't want to see you!"
Victoria's eyes were red from crying. She pitifully wrapped herself in the blanket and yelled at him.
Martin clenched his fists. His earlier rage completely turned into dejection.
He wanted to make love with Victoria, but Victoria treated him like an enemy, telling him to get out, saying she didn't want to see him!
How could someone as proud as Martin continue?
"You got what you wanted, and now you're burning bridges? Victoria, you better pray nothing happens to the baby in your belly, or I'll settle all our old and new scores with you!" Martin warned.
Hearing this, Victoria seemed triggered. She grabbed the pillow from the bedside and threw it at him.
The pillow hit his increasingly tense, handsome face, finally landing at his feet.
"Get out! Get out! Martin, I don't want to see you! Get out!" Victoria pointed at the door. As she roared, Martin clearly saw big tears rolling down her face.
For Aaron, she had gone this far.
"Victoria, do you know you're actually pretty dirty? No matter how much you want a divorce, you should have some sense of contract, right? Once the baby is born, even if you don't leave, I'll make you leave!" Martin sneered. His heart didn't really think this way, but the words that came out were so hurtful.
Victoria covered her ears, crying hysterically, "I don't want to hear you talk anymore! Martin, please, just get out!"
Looking so repulsed by him, where was any trace of how she used to like him?
Martin laughed coldly. Things really had changed.
He and Victoria had finally gone their separate ways.
Martin slammed the door and left. Even if they had gone their separate ways, he would forcibly pull her back and make them return to the past!
As the door slammed shut.
Victoria hugged her knees and cried.
The huge grief in her heart was like a net, deeply trapping her. She couldn't escape no matter what.
When people are in pain and sadness, they can't cry.
Victoria wailed in despair, screaming, frantically tearing at the bedding.
He kept saying he wanted her to have this baby, but had he learned anything about childcare?
Didn't the doctor tell him not to upset pregnant women, not to make them unhappy?
It was all excuses!
All clumsy lies. Mia was right. He was just a pervert. Making her have the baby was just another way to watch her die in pain.
Victoria sadly collapsed on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
Her sleep was getting worse and worse.
Tonight, she didn't sleep all night.
Her mind was full of messy thoughts that wouldn't settle down.
Victoria watched as the dark bedroom gradually became bright.
Watching the morning sunlight fall on the treetops.
When Kaida arrived, she was quite surprised to see her already sitting on the sofa, "Ms. Gonzalez, you're up so early today? Pregnant women are usually sleepy. How come you slept so little?"
Victoria wanted to tell her she hadn't slept all night.
But she didn't want her to worry. Saying it wouldn't help anyway, so she gave up, "Early to bed, early to rise keeps you healthy."
"That's a good habit! Ms. Gonzalez, please wait a moment. I'll make you breakfast right away."
Kaida moved quickly. In just twenty minutes, a bowl of fragrant pregnancy meal was ready.
Victoria didn't really have an appetite, but seeing her eager eyes, she still ate the whole bowl clean.
After Kaida finished washing the dishes, she saw Victoria stand up and said happily, "Ms. Gonzalez, your belly is already starting to get bigger! In a few more months, you'll be able to have a healthy, beautiful baby!"
"I wonder if Ms. Gonzalez's baby is a boy or a girl. A boy should look like Mr. Collins, a girl should look like you, Ms. Gonzalez. Both with expressive eyes."
Victoria walked to the floor mirror and indeed saw her belly starting to bulge!
It got bigger after just three months!
Did that mean her body was getting worse and worse!
Her days on earth were getting fewer and fewer!
"Ms. Gonzalez, why don't I go out with you for a walk? The sun is really nice outside today. Pregnant women should get more sun to supplement calcium!"
Kaida kindly suggested again.
Victoria thought she probably wouldn't have many more chances to see the sun anyway.
Winters in Emerald City had fewer sunny days than other places. It was mostly drizzly or snowing heavily.
"Okay." Victoria smiled.
She didn't really want Kaida to come along, but Kaida was worried something might happen to the baby and insisted on following. Victoria couldn't refuse, so she agreed.
Just as they walked out of the apartment building.
Victoria's phone suddenly rang.
It was an unknown number.
Victoria didn't think much of it and answered directly.
A man's voice came from the other end, "Is this Ms. Gonzalez?"
"Yes, who is this?" Victoria said.
The man continued, "You have a package. I'm here at the Gonzalez Villa. If it's convenient, could you come down and pick it up?"
"I think you have the wrong person. I haven't ordered any packages recently." Victoria was a bit confused. Misdelivered packages were common.
"That's not right. The recipient is Ms. Gonzalez, you. Aren't you Victoria?"
Victoria suddenly remembered something. Gripping her phone, she blurted out, "Is it from Tamsin?"
