Chapter 778 Encountering Breastfeeding

Chapter 778 Encountering Breastfeeding

When it came to breastfeeding, Kimberly always felt that Amelia was obsessed with it. She insisted that Caleb be fed fresh milk, as if everything had to be perfect.

But Kimberly thought it was unnecessary. If a child was pampered like this, their health would surely suffer in the long run.

"Mrs. Watson, I talked to a professional nutritionist. It's totally fine to feed the baby expressed milk. I mean, moms can't always find a place to breastfeed when they're out and about. As long as the milk is good quality, it's fine."

Amelia clearly wasn't listening to Kimberly. She only believed in her own way.

"There's a place to breastfeed now, isn't there? So do it. If it's really inconvenient in the future, then you can use expressed milk."

Kimberly felt a headache coming on. She couldn't even get angry at Amelia anymore.

"Mrs. Watson, I need to give Howard his lesson. I've already delayed it a bit. Let Lexine feed Caleb the expressed milk." With that, Kimberly stood up, ready to head to Howard's room. She didn't want to argue with Amelia about Caleb's feeding anymore.

The next second, Amelia looked pitiful. "Kimberly, are you against me too?"

Kimberly was taken aback and felt awkward. "Mrs. Watson, how could I be against you? I just think it's fine to feed the baby expressed milk."

"You can use the expressed milk when you're not here. But you're here now, and Howard's lesson can wait. It's not that formal. You have time to breastfeed now, so do it."

Given the situation, Kimberly had no choice but to agree.

Seeing Kimberly agree, Amelia was satisfied. Lexine then said, "Ms. Sanchez, please follow me. Caleb is in the room."

"Okay."

As they reached the room, Kimberly could hear Caleb crying inside. His voice was hoarse, indicating he had been crying for a while.

Kimberly quickly opened the door and rushed in. Sure enough, Caleb was crying so hard he could barely breathe. Kimberly's heart ached as she hurriedly picked him up to comfort him.

"Don't cry, Caleb. Mommy's here. Don't be scared, baby."

Kimberly was angry. She hadn't expected Caleb to be treated like this, all because Amelia insisted she breastfeed him personally.

If it weren't for Amelia's poor health, Kimberly would have argued with her.

Seeing this, Lexine seemed a bit embarrassed. She explained, "Ms. Sanchez, Mrs. Watson has always been very particular about the children's health and growth. She was the same when she raised Mr. Watson, being extremely careful and even hiring a wet nurse from abroad. Please understand."

Kimberly frowned. She couldn't understand Amelia's logic. There was perfectly good expressed milk available, yet Amelia insisted on this unnecessary fuss, causing the baby to suffer. Was this reasonable?

Kimberly wanted to vent to Lexine, but she held back, knowing Lexine was close to Amelia and might report back to her. So, Kimberly chose to endure it.

"Lexine, I need to feed Caleb. Could you please leave?"

"Sure, I'll go now." Lexine turned and left, closing the door behind her.

As if sensing Kimberly's presence, Caleb calmed down and even smiled in her arms, looking very happy.

Kimberly sighed and pretended to scold him, "Were you crying just to get Mommy to stay with you?"

But thinking of how heartbroken Caleb had been crying, Kimberly felt a pang of guilt. She sat down, lifted her shirt, and began to breastfeed him. Caleb latched on and drank eagerly.

"You little rascal."

"Don't bite Mommy."

Just as she relaxed, the door suddenly opened and closed, startling Kimberly. She turned in shock, almost screaming.

Seeing the familiar figure at the door, her face turned pale with anger. "Don't you know to knock before entering?"

Vincent glanced at her face, then her chest, before slowly looking away. "This is my house. Do I need to report to you or knock before entering any room?"

Kimberly glared at Vincent, her face dark with anger. "This is the room Mrs. Watson arranged for me to take care of the baby. I don't believe she didn't tell you. You did this on purpose!"

Vincent leaned against the wall, his long legs crossed, a mocking smile on his lips. "You should watch your image. Exposing yourself to a man so casually?"

Kimberly was stunned. She looked down and saw her bare breasts exposed, with Caleb nursing clearly visible. She screamed and quickly turned away.

Vincent smirked, yawning lazily as he stretched his arms and walked past her to sit on the sofa.

"Don't make such a fuss. Your body has changed after having a baby. There's nothing to see. You should be more careful. Luckily, it was me who came in, and I've seen it all before. Otherwise, you'd be in trouble."

Kimberly's face turned red with anger, her usually clear eyes now filled with fury.

"Vincent, can't you speak properly?"

Vincent's eyes narrowed, a hint of amusement and curiosity in his gaze. "You're exposed again."

Kimberly panicked and checked herself, realizing she wasn't exposed at all. She then understood she had been tricked and was furious.

But with Caleb still nursing, she had to hold back.

"Please leave. This is the nursery Mrs. Watson prepared for me. Can't you see what I'm doing?"

Vincent had no intention of leaving. He smiled his signature teasing smile, making it hard to tell what he was thinking.

"I need some peace and quiet."

"What?" Kimberly didn't understand. If he needed peace, why come here?
